  1. Nvidia used to have a pretty good raport with the community back in the 8800 days, imagine if they came out and said "trust us bros we're worth it" Linus would not tolerate that kind of stance in the slightest but seems to think LMG should be allowed to get away with that kind of attitude towards things like transaction contracts in terms of warranties.
  2. You mean the review where they used the wrong card, Billet Labs didn't have a 4090 to test with and LMG decided to use one because LOLNewCard instead of using the 3090 the block was designed for. Can't expect a shoe to fit if you're putting them on the wrong size feet.
  3. A couple of years ago Linus absolutely denigrated Nvidia for their treatment of HWunboxed and attack on their search for the truth on the RTX cards performance, now Linus himself and his team have followed Nvidias foot steps and attacked not only HWunboxed but also GN in a couple of videos, tripling down on prior statements and views doesn't actually make you more right than before. Linus has repeatedly said he wishes these things were kept in private or that personal relationships would influence the response he and his team get for their actions, THAT IS WHAT MSI AND OTHERS DO! And you used to yell at for doing the same to you guys and other media partners. The cognitive dissonance now that the shoe is on the other foot is deafening....
  4. Summary GamersNexus has been following the news surrounding Linus Media Groups statements on warranty issues, mainly pertaining to the backpack warranty and will now be changing their policy in reporting to keep it in line with how they report on other manufacturers. Quotes Steve seems to nail a couple of points, this "trust me bro" standpoint wouldn't really be accepted if it was another company, I could imagine the response if NZXT were to release a marketing campaign calling their cases "lit" with fire emblems behind pictures of a new case. 5. I'm not sure if Coolermaster is joining the ranks of Wendy or something but they've put out a tweet about a new thermal compound tube design because " we're getting tired of having to explain to parents that their kid isn't using drugs.". Maybe we'll see less people complaining about youtubers applying paste wrong, one can hope atleast. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2020/01/cooler-master-is-tired-of-telling-parents-their-kids-arent-on-drugs/?comments=1
  6. I did check through the forum to see if it was already posted here, I have read the guidelines before now. my apologies if I missed another thread covering this.
  7. Ars technica has put an interesting article up about intels new roll out https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/04/intels-new-assault-on-the-data-center-56-core-xeons-10nm-fpgas-100gig-ethernet/
  8. Buy painter now whilst you can because knowing Adobe, they'll be removing that perpetual license asap. I plan to get it on Steam when I can, I still have my old 2016 license so I'm not entirely lost on it.
  9. Allegorithmic announced earlier that they've been purchased by Adobe to join the family alongside Mixamo and Macromedia Blog post detailing the purchase This seems to have happened around the same time that Foundry has taken their site down for "maintenance" with speculation in the content creators community that foundry is the next company to be bought out, potentially by Autodesk. Substance Painter is an application used in various industries for the creation of textures for 3d models.
  10. Just saw these on a discord channel I'm in, I've heard about other pre-production radiator cases in the past but this seems to be one of the first I've seen come to market. Apparently, they're going on sale tomorrow, might see about picking one up at some point. https://www.monsterlabo.com/09-11-firsts-bench-tests-available/ Anyone else here know about these?
