  1. Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I dont have another pc I can put it in. I doubt the repair shops in my area can do anything with it, possibly one though so will check it out and see what they say. Other than that I'm waiting to see what msi say but they're phone line is useless and I'm not sure how long they take to reply on there site
  2. Hey all, I probably know the answer to this already but thought i would ask here before resigning myself to being screwed by the universe! So i have just upgrade from my old i7 4700k system to a new 3900x but as i had upgraded to a 1080 i thought there was no point changing it and it would save me a bit of money to allow me to upgrade other parts ... how wrong was i! basically as i was sitting watching netflix on one screen and playing the warcraft 3 beta on other both screens went black and the fans on the gfx card sounded like the went up to 100%. rebooted and the system seemd to be ok for 5 minutes just sitting at the desktop then both went black and fans up to 100% again. another reboot failed, i don't even see the bios on screen and i now get a sigle beep and then a double beep form my motherboard which looking up seems to identify no gfx card detected. so i have removed the card changed power cables(aothough LEDS on the card were always on so doubt power) resat the card and still the same, nothing on screen, beeps form motherboard and fans on card at 100%. i have raised a ticket with MSI but i have never found them quick to repond and for some reason dont recognise the cards serial number. Can anyone think what else i can try? other than buying a new card since i cant afford one at this time of year.
  3. i'd opt out completely and take it for free - but JayZ2cents video explains the reason for the pricing which makes sense. Wonder 2080 /2080 ti is like when used with/without s gsync monitor.
  4. cheers, thought so i just wanted to get a 2nd opinion.
  5. So my love affair with ITX is missguided ... but i still love power in a small'ish box i also want to include a couple of AIO coolers an h110i CPU and one for the GFX card using and H50 with the NXT or corsair mount my issue being i want this in an ITX case but not sure measurements to work out if this will fit, i was thinking the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Itx can anyone help with working out if this would fit? the rest of my Spec is - Cpu - 17 8700K Motherboard - Gigabyte H370-N Wifi RAM - Corsair 16GB (2x8) 3200 LPX GFX - MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 Storage - m.2 Samsung evo 950 250GB SSD Samsung evo 850 250GB 2TB seagate Firecuda PSU - Corsair TX-M Series 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold Certified
  6. I have ones, its great for reading books and watching netflix, prime or anything on vlc player. at the end of the day its a cheap tablet sure i could get an ipad for 100 quid but for 40 i get EXPANDABLE MEMORY! i really dont need it for much else and if it gets battered about in my bag or lost then it was only 40 quid and for everything else i have my smartphone.
