  1. I see. I believe Badseed Tech said the SHP9500 are the most open cans he ever used.
  2. I know. u//Oratory makes some really good EQs.
  3. I'm definitely up for EQ. I'm always willing to learn something new, and Peace APO seems like a fun piece of software.
  4. I think that that's where they key is; 'with the ideal songs'. I don't think I'm listening to the ideal songs to really notice the difference, especially since I'll never be able to do side-by-side comparisons.
  5. And I can see how it'll be an issue for a lot of people haha. But it won't affect me as much as it'll do others.
  6. Interesting. I can live without treble in my life haha. And as I said; EQ exists.
  7. That sounds perfect, because that's exactly what I want! A smooth and laidback experience!
  8. I can't wait to listen to Cocteau from Ottmar Liebert on them!
  9. I can always EQ them if I don't exactly like them haha. But they sound like the perfect headphone for me right now. Would you say the HD559 has that same smoothness as the SHP9500? And if not, how big is the difference? Would a beginning audiophile notice such a difference?
  10. My preferences are all over the place, but I listen to a lot of Queen, Post Malone, Joji, Billie Eillish, Eminem, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Kendrick Lamar, etc
  11. Thank you! I remember DMS saying in his review: it has rolled off bass no intimate vocals recessed highs great soundstage Do you agree with this?
  12. Interesting. I firstly leaned towards the HD559, then because of the other guy replying the SHP9500, but now the Hd559 again haha. But I can see your point. I wish there was a way to test the 9500. But despite the fact that I'm not a huge basshead, the lack of bass is definitly off putting for me.
