Wheres the mountain dew?

 

:-( Mountain dew is like a rare luxury in Denmark for some reason. Can only be bought in selected stores and only in 0.5 liter bottles......So I end up paying high prices every time I need my mountain dew fix

Exactly!....not to forget that there are children that for medical reasons can't get vaccinated, so they are dependent on the rest of us being vaccinated. In my country, there are a smaller group of stupid mothers who have started groups where they try to find children with diseases so they can get the "naturally"....I actually saw one who looked after children with Measles......what a stupid bitch. Measles is a deadly disease

I'm not going to say that there was no wrong doing by the hands of the police officers involved. In fact I think this was a murder, but to say he was innocent is a bit deceiving.

Which still makes him innocent. His prior crimes have no bearing.

Nobody is angry that the cops chased him...ofcourse they would investigate. But it was still an illegal arrest since he did not do anything illegal.

Whether or not he was a criminal POS has no bearing what so ever.

Beside the original detainment/altercation, all we know is he was fine when he got into the van, when he got out of the van he had a broken spinal cord. One of the other prisoners in the van, who couldn't see Gray because of a partion between the cells, said he heard banging from Gray's cell, the prisoner speculated that he may have been trying to hurt himself, but he retracted his story, as he now fears for his life after undermining the protesters' story. We still have ZERO idea how the injury happened, and 6 cops have been charged, 3/6 of the cops are black, OBVIOUSLY racist..

The race aspect is irrelevant here. This is about police brutality.

It is almost impossible to selfinjure yourself in that manner...its not just his spine, but a crushed voice box. The medical examiner ruled it a homicide.

The prisoner you mention, could not see him. The reasons you give for his retraction is speculation on your part.

You are right...we have no proof what happened, but that is not something positive for the positive here....He was in their custody, he dies, and they have no explanation....You just accept this?

I have a serious problem with how this is portrayed in the media. Police says "We will not release any information", and then they leak the story about the other prisoner.

Somebody is not playing fair game, and the blue wall of silence is once again in place.

Its sad that people who would normally be critical of the police state, will suddenly defend the police because they are angry about the protesters......

Pretty much everyone has tidbits of facts, because all of the reports have something wrong. Am I going to go hunting for 100% precise information on an utterly stupid scenario? Its kinda massively important that the kid was wrongfully arrested, and died despite the fact that he should not have been in police custody.

Guy was being arrested by police for having an illegal knife, ran, got tackled, throw in a van, and at some point between being tackled and after being the in van he suffered vertebra damage that killed him.

Police arrives. Guy gets eye contact with officer and flees. he gets tackled, looks hurt and gets thrown into van...AFTERWARDS they find a knife on him...a knife that is LEGAL!

It was not a switchknife and it was legal under Baltimore law. The knife was only found afterwards.-..

Why buy anything more expensive then? You can get the Asus 290x for 100kr less on cdon, at 2290k as well. But yeah, the 290 series is a but overpriced in DK. But then again, it is the last stock emptying out, before the 300 series launch.

Which was my point. People scream and yell about how Nvidia is overcharging use quite extreme language...calling people sheep, or stupid for buying a product when the price difference generally is far less than people advertised. Its just not denmark. Many countries have similar prices. Just look at this thread.

You must be extremely cherry picking. An Asus 290x DCUII, is ~100$ cheaper than an Asus 970 DCUII on edbpriser.dk, so idk what you are talking about. The difference can be smaller, if you choose the cheapest, crappiest, lowend 970, but that is hardly a comparison.

A MSI 290x is among the cheapest 290x with after market coolers on EDBpriser at 2.834 kr.

a MSI 970 costs= 2.898 kr

Both are from MSI, both are after market coolers (Think they are the same coolers)

Thats not even a 100 kroner difference....and definently not a 100$ cheaper. Its 9,29 dollars difference to be exact.

I actually avoided any reference cards or any "lesser known" brands like Palit and Gainward.

As far as I can tell, the only brand where you could make that argument would be Asus, so who out of the two of us is the one doing the cherry picking? Especially since it is ONE retailer(Proshop) who has a very low price and everybody else have it priced in the neighborhood of 3000 kroner.

Is piracy a problem, for the most part yes (not talking about bittorent which is a very useful tool but the actual sharing of copyrighted material) but having an internet gestapo policing what people see is not OK. I don't blame people for torrenting copyrighted material, copyright went for something to help protect the creator and their work to this huge control mechanism that makes it harder to legally attain content unless you just through their hoops just so they can make more money. 

Especially when those publishers who we are trying to protect is having record setting sales....both 2013 and 2014 set records for the gaming industry.

I think piracy is a problem but there is also a problem with the attitude. There was an interview the other day in the media here in my country with a director.

He was deeply enraged and raged that there were some films that did'n't earn money, and it was terrible that a pirates are making them less profitable.

I have sympathy, but it does seem that piracy gets blamed for any kind of failure. He seemed like it was a given that every movie ofcourse had to be profitable like the movie industry was a place where losing money never should happen.

Piracy is a problem, but it is not in any way a crisis that in any way justifies removing our privacy rights.

What? The R9 290X is generally slightly cheaper than the GTX 970, not $30 more expensive. The 3 cheapest 290X models on pcpartpicker are $280, the 3 cheapest GTX 970 models are $295-311. Remove the rebates and the 3 cheapest 290Xs are $300-310, while the 3 cheapest GTX 970s are $297-315.

My point was that people are overstating how much cheaper AMD is compared to Nvidia. There retoric in this threads make it seem like Nvidia is overcharging their cards by hundreds of dollars but the a  difference between 300-310$ and 297-315$ does not say "Exploitation" to me.

I really hope that AMD survives and gives us competition but I just don't get why Nvidia needs to be hauled over the coals for their pricing when the difference is so little as it is...and when it changes so much.

Paradox showed that it's really possible for modders to make "real" games. They licensed their game engines to teams of modders, and released the resulting games with Paradox QA and support, in addition to further patches and content made by the modder-devs. It's a pretty neat system, and personally I think Darkest Hour (based on Hearts of Iron 2) was a better game than Paradox's internally developed Hearts of Iron 3. Of course, there were also some projects that didn't work out so well.

I think the last post that @zappian posted perfectly explained some of the problems.

There might be exceptions where it might be fair to pay modders but its just a case of where you just can't open pandoras box. Modding will be reduced to what we already see with endless DLCs for a few bucks.

I worked on mods for a manager game...We created thousands of characters, profiles, bios etc etc......That mod is better than the original game, but I don't see how that means that I should get paid.

People are going so overboard. A 290x is 30 dollars more expensive than a gtx 970 in denmark...I have owned many AMD cards but I don't get how people who own Nvidia cards are being portrayed as some kind of stupid sheep.

Sometimes there's a fine line between making mods and making games. Look at things like Darkest Hour.

Yes there is, but people are at times trying to make that line thinner than it is. Most mods are definently not the same as a new game. But a greedy modder could make that argument about most mods..."Well, its an entirely different way to play it"...."I made new textures!"

Two seconds later, and everybody thinks that they deserve to get paid for every minute they spend on a mod.

Simple solution: Stop fighting natural selection. Make drinking and driving legal, get rid of seat belt laws and warnings that tell people not to stick their hands under the mower decks of running lawn mowers, and let nature take its course.
