  1. RTX 2070 - new GTX 1080 Ti / Vega 64 - used
  2. How did you fix it? How's the LOS running? Did you notice any decrease in performance relative to the MIUI10? Did you encounter any issues/error so far? Are you able to record in 4K 60FPS?
  3. The developer of the Poco F1 LineageOS just updated the post which now supports IR Face unlock. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78270629&postcount=1944
  4. 1. Will I be able to hide the notch on Poco after installing? 2. What features will I lose after installing this? He mentioned the IR camera won't work (which is fine by me) but will other features work? 3. Is the experience as smooth as on a Pixel 3 XL? 4. Will there be any speed reduction after installation? In comparison to the stock MIUI 10 the Poco F1 comes with, how slow will be the custom android Pie?
  5. GIGABYTE RX VEGA 64 OC - $610 Would you pick this card over; 1. ASUS 1070Ti Cerberus - $625 2. MSI 1070TI Gaming - $630 3. ASUS STRIX Vega 64 - $620 4. ZOTAC 1080 Mini -$614 These are the prices I am getting these cards for rn How better is the STRIX Vega 64 as compared to Gigabyte's?
  6. I see. From what I have heard, the Cerberus is somewhere between the Dual and the Strix. There weren't a lot of reviews on Amazon, but some suggested that they were able to achieve 2000 MHz oc on the Cerberus. I concur that MSI's Gaming is top of the line, but the warranty holds me back. Overclocking is safe but as it's a 1070Ti I will be overclocking at all times for that 1080 stock performance. I am only worried that this will exacerbate it's life and if that happened I won't be getting any replacement from MSI. Whilst with ASUS, I could atleast get it repaired or RMA'd. Which card would you purchase if you were in my position?
  7. Well, yes and no. Like you said, it varies from country to country. The forums I frequent are filled with terrible experiences from MSI. In one instance, they promised a guy another GPU but declined months later. In another, they fixed a backlit key (on a laptop) with a different one (non-backlit). Like I previously said, they have not setup any RMA centers of their own but instead have partnered with other local people who simply don't give a [expletive]. Is there a major performance difference between the ASUS Cerberus 1070Ti and MSI Gaming 1070Ti? They both cost the nearly the same but I am not entirely sure about their performance.
  8. I somewhat agree but it's ASUS we are talking about. The only thing holding me back was the lack of reviews. For the 1070Ti from MSI it has been benchmarked heavily both from Hardware Unboxed and Optimum Tech. But there are hardly any reviews on the Cerberus 1070Ti. The MSI has 10 Phase VRM while the ASUS one has 6+1 Phase VRM. Do you believe this difference would have any significant impact on overclocking?
  9. From where I am buying, these two options seems to be the best. They both cost around $620. The other options include GALAX 1070Ti EX ($574), ZOTAC 1080 Mini ($612), and ZOTAC 1070Ti Mini ($570). For GALAX, I am not sure about their RMA service. The ZOTAC 1080 Mini seems good but I have heard it has nearly the same cooling as a Founder's edition and will run a lot hotter while I could achieve the same performance with a good 1070Ti. That being said, I have seen that the MSI 1070Ti has a 10 phase VRM while that of ASUS' 1070Ti has 6+1. Would it make a huge difference in overclocking?
  10. I have to agree on that. I have read so many reviews about them denying RMA service by simply not picking up the call or answering the ticket for months. For what I have found out, (atleast in my country) they don't even have an RMA center and rely on local partnered sources to handle their RMA which is terrible. 10 Phase VRM MSI 1070Ti vs 6+1 Phase VRM ASUS 1070Ti would both have identical performance? Given MSI's customer service I'd be scared to overclock it lol
  11. MSI 1070Ti Gaming vs ASUS Cerberus 1070Ti If you had to pick one, which one would it be and why?
  12. Yes but based on the benchmarks, one only gets about 2-3 FPS more from a 1080 as they are already factory overclocked while the 1070Tis are factory locked and can only be oced by the user. Do you really believe GDDR5X is worth it? Some forums suggest it's just a gimmick.
  13. I believe (based on benchmarks) both will have nearly the same performance with the GTX 1080 getting 2-3 FPS more. Given this, does it still justify spending $30-50 more on a 1080 over a 1070Ti?
  14. An overclocked 1070Ti can match a 1080's performance but obviously the oc will increase the power it withdraws and hence increasing the bill. Will it be beneficial in the long run? which one out of the three is the best buy? ZOTAC GTX 1070Ti AMP extreme - $546 ZOTAC GTX 1080 Founder's edition - $547 ZOTAC GTX 1080 Mini - $615 (* These are the prices available in here)
  15. The locked 8700, yes, now I had another doubt in this. If you check out the 8600K, it performs nearly the same as 8700K at 5 GHz all the while costing less than the 8700 (non K). So, why would one go for a locked 8700 when they can get more FPS at less price? How difficult is it to overclock an 8600K? And yea I think 1080Ti for 5 years is worth it even though it might seem like an overkill right now. Why you didn't recommend a 8700 or a Ryzen cpu though?
