  1. I use a ssd as my boot drive and for some programs but for games and stuff like that I use a hard drive. Also, somehow, 2 days later it stopped doing that. Still don't know the cause but it's okay now.
  2. So I have just built my PC and after installing windows and everything I tried installing a game on my hard drive. The moment I started installing the game, scratching/clicking noises started coming from the hard drive and It shouldn't as the drive is brand new and I just bought it. The drive is a Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM drive. Is it broken?
  3. I'm not sure what is good and what is not but I'd say it's great. Is this where I am supposed to look?
  4. Well with that said, I really have no reason to get the 590 instead of a 580. I was hoping of the drivers to be better.
  5. yeah, that's what I went with as well, if est. wattage would be 450W then I get a 550W PSU
  6. I looked into this as well, however for now the Rx 590 is not on uk.pcpartpicker.com so checking the wattage on there is not doable yet. A system without a GPU should use around 200W and the Rx 590 should use just over 200W and that in total would be around 450W. Also I do not really trust the online wattage calculators(and that wattage sign on pcpartpicker counts as one) because they can not be accurate, as I don't think they can predict the wattage when the computer is at 100% load on GPU and CPU.
  7. True that it may not seem worth it but I chose it over the cheaper 580 because of the performance in dx 11 games and because it might get better driver updates(and for a longer period of time)as it is newer.
  8. I am a new pc builder and I want to go with a RX590 for the GPU but I am not sure if 550W is enough because on one website it said the recommended psu wattage is 600W. Also I don't know if the 6+2 pin(x2) PCI-E cable is enough because it's one cable which connects to the PSU and then at the other end it splits into 2 6+2 pin connectors, so I should be able to use it as a 6+8 pin(and leave a 2 pin hanging) but I am not sure of it. Can someone with more experience help me? Here is my build. (could not add rx590 and SSD)
  9. So I was playing cs:go on a gaming notebook and suddenly in the middle of the round my screen all went pink. I restarted cs:go and tried again, it worked but 5 minutes later, pink screen again. I restarted my pc but still the same. I thought it was cs:go fault but then when I played league of legends it happened again. So knowing that I went on some "extremely potato pc games" like Minecraft and Roblox and yet I was still getting a pink screen, but I realised that if I changed the window size in Roblox, the game would come back to normal and then I could switch it back to fullscreen, however, this wasn't permanent because it happened again and this time resizing the window didn't work. Please help me fix this.
  10. My first dekstop pc : AMD Athlon XP 1.2Ghz, nvidia geforce 8400gs, ddr1 512mb.
  11. I used applike before. I ordered 3 $5 PayPal cards and I got scammed. It says pending and it is still pending for almost a year now(10 months) and support did not help me at all.
  12. Thanks for all the replies! I put together some of the ideas here and made these two lists : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DjBJyX and https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WhGDZR
  13. I am thinking of getting a new PC for gaming in a few months but I don't really know what to buy. I want to get a pc for gaming in 1080p at 60fps on highest/medium settings in most games for the next 2 years. I am new to building gaming systems, I am looking forward to buying this.
