  1. Linus i have seen that "power/data" interface before. It was on one of those cheapo adapters from china which i ordered some time ago by mistake https:/aliexpress.com/item/33041185996.html? It is a Micro-sata 1.8" connector
  2. that would be hilarious. having Linus, make it LIVE from scratch not giving ANY instructions. if James May can make a bridge out of it, Then Linus can make a PC case out of it. of course having a few rules: it must contain everything a normal stock PC would contain. so tower model, DVD drive, HDD caddy, IO shield,
  3. how about a WEIRD pc parts from china part 2: here are a few of my suggestions of parts to use {i did not look at the price just at the general weirdness} https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32767806756.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32804117145.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32840263814.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000124061983.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32775081028.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000087057865.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32662648163.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32501932543.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32805934648.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32804049778.html? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32780237049.html? LINUS building his own PC parts like ram SSD, SD card GPU and so on who wouldn't want to see that.
  4. instead of using that video card use the Asus V7700 Deluxe. Since We all want to see LINUS wear one of the oldest 3d Glasses for HOME PC GAMING PS: the glasses are EXTREMELY RARE to come by.
  5. did anybody get the standalone version before they took it down, and is able to share it?
  6. heey linus why not do a ebay vs good brand battle of devices like: headset gaming mouse keyboard components like fan controller, dust cover, fans, and others other miscellaneous components like: usb hubs, extension cables, adapters,
  7. why not use liquid nitrogen to cool down a pc sooo cold that the CPU will crack in half of the cold. (i think using C2Duo's are the perfect solution since they are cheap to buy, and you can do multiple runs for more fun) or have a server PC with 4 CPU's run so hot that you can bake meat on the CPU's cheap diy grill
  8. for the GPU there are also options like this: https://www.overclock3d.net/news/gpu_displays/evga_reveal_gpu_power_adapter_and_hb_sli_bridge/1 which look a whole lot nicer than GPU cables, this way you can also make it more cleanly organized. i personally think that this looks nicer than cables hanging from the GPU's and if you are going for a 300$+ cable mod these adapters are a bargain.
  9. the only problem with your design is leaking. since 1 mistake with the design or 1 imperfection in the aluminium could leak water/liquid out of the seams. it does need to have a lot of test runs before you can create a working heatsink that dissipates enough heat
  10. if you say that this is garbage why did you not give a link to better copper/metalic filament??? but yes i do agree that the thermal conductivity of PLA is not that great: PLA: 0.075 BTU/h-ft-°F BRICK: 0.15 BTU/h-ft-°F Water (direct contact): 0.6 BTU/h-ft-°F yes im aware that 3d printing takes long. but if you make a design, turn the printer on during the night have it print the thing you want, then it does not take long, or is it just me. (and yes i do create my own things with a 3d printer) like: my mini- TRI DIMENSIONAL CHESS board (star-trek) (and its no joke the banana is for scale) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ps: how much infill did you use for that 3d printed heat-sink mold?? since you could also use the 3d printed item as a mold, so printing it with 0% infill, cut of the bottom, then fill the 3d print with aluminium, like this: (image used chocolate, but the idea is the same) based on the design you guys used i assume that with worst resolution it would take less than 2 hours to print. (since its a mold high resolution would mean that its harder for the aluminium to melt it)
  11. you guys have a 3d printer but not thought of using a metalic filament to 3d print a heat-sink???? that is just hilarious https://www.matterhackers.com/store/3d-printer-filament/colorfabb-copperfill-metal-filament-1.75mm-075-kg
  12. haha yeah i know, this is the real liquid cooled memory i know. (its even cheaper than that RGB CRAP, since these addons cost around 15$ each+ 5$ each for high quality thermal-pads. so a max extra cost of 20$ over the regular ram price is still cheaper than these RPG module) and since this has moving water the thermal conductivity is also greatly increased.
  13. you should use a metallic bottle, since plastic could melt. but yeah nice meme
  14. should this not be better to use to liquid cool RAM memory or this one:
  15. warranty void if removed stickers are becoming illegal in many country's around the world. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/ftc-warranty-stickers-illegal/ apple will of course bribe the FTC with a few billions of USD
