i am looking for the best picture with gaming capabilities i will mainly game

i want a 1440p monitor but i don’t know if my pc can run it.My computer has a GTX 1070 and a intel i7 8700k overclocked to 4.9 ghz.just wondering what the best 1140p monitor i should get is.or should i just get a 1080p 144hz.My price range is about 450$

I’m running a 1080p 75hz monitor actually I feel I should be getting more frames with my build the first video also had v-sync on and I don’t.I am also running at medium high settings.

My pc is a gtx 1070 and an I7 8700k overclocked to 4.9 ghz yet on Tom Clancy’s the division2 I stay around 70 to 74 frames.my v-sync isn’t on and my games frames aren’t capped I have no idea how to get it to go above the 70 range.Is it my monitor or is it some setting I have on in the control pannel I don’t know honestly.

I meant that as in I don’t have much experience overclocking but I have a z390 aorus pro WiFi

I definitely don’t wanna kill the CPU but I might overclock it I have a dark rock 4 pro cooler

So is gaming only all core and not single?

I thought the turbo boost was 4.8 I also got off the game for a sec to check it that’s why it ramped down

I was able to run a gtx 1070 and an amd fx 4300 on it
