  1. It looked absolutely awesome during the 20 minutes I played it. Sadly, the game kept crashing for me to the point where I couldn't finish the tutorial, so I refunded. Might re-buy it some day.
  2. Was the screwdriver actually a broadsword? I mean, it takes a whole lot of force to stab a screwdriver through a motherboard AND the metal plate of a case.
  3. Last year, my previous PSU died so thoroughly that it would automatically cause the circuit breaker to flip as soon I plugged the PSU into the wall and turned it on. This sorry event was followed by a few nerve-wracking days of me wondering if any other components have been fried, while I waited for the new PSU to arrive. Luckily, all the other components were fine, so that nameless Cooler Master experimental PSU definitely gets a Press F from me. EDIT: Also, I spilled a large cappuccino over my Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Classic while it was on. I dried the keyboard off and it survived without any issues whatsoever. Made me respect Razer build quality a whole lot more.
  4. Win10 Pro key is like $5 on ebay. I bought two of those keys and they work perfectly fine.
  5. Just cover them with cloth or duct tape or something.
  6. Well then, seems my long-running preference for Chrome might just come to an end. Which is annoying, because I still need to use the Google suite for my work.
  7. As someone who games and watches movies on a 2005 1360x768 TV with a single HDMI port, I really don't see what the problem is? You're sitting close to it anyway, so it's not like you need a huge 4k monster of a TV anyway.
  8. I see nothing wrong with having a man cave. In fact, the only reason I can see for not having one is if you can't afford a bigger house and you need the room for one of your kids or something.
  9. Zen 2 means that I'm going to be able to upgrade to a much faster CPU in a few years without having to change my mobo or my RAM, which (alongside a possible GPU upgrade at some point) will extend the life of my system by a few years. What's not to get excited about?
  10. If people can make up their own pronouns and have the government take them seriously, then sure, I guess it's no surprise that having such poor impulse control that you have to play Fortnite 16 hours a day can qualify as a disorder too. INB4 westerners end up paying extra taxes to cover the expenses of curing video game addiction.
  11. Does getting new HDDs for storage counts? As I've built my rig last September, it's doing everything I need it to do so I won't be upgrading soon.
  12. I don't have to be. What vanilla is really about for me and my friend is world pvp. I can see us having a blast at the alliance's expense for a month or two before we get bored.
  13. WoW talent trees have been gone since Mists of Pandaria, if memory serves. The new talent "trees" where you freely change special abilities and the like are actually really good and have a huge effect on how a class/spec is played. As for the state of WoW, it has been declining ever since Wrath of the Bitch King made the game super idiot-friendly and bombarded said idiots with epics. They tried to get back on track with Cataclysm, but by then it was too late, the community was already too used to game being easy. Despite this, Mists of Pandaria and Cataclysm were extremely entertaining to me. Warlords of Draenor and Legion killed the game by introducing RNG into gear progression and making everything feel even less like an accomplishment. I'm going to be getting WoW Classic just so a real life friend and I could gank the crap out of the alliance all day long while we level up, but I can't see myself playing on once I reach max level. EDIT: In truth, I doubt I'll be able to play WoW Classic for more than a month. Two, tops. The truth is, what made WoW Classic & TBC so legendary was that, back at the time they came out, no other game really offered the kind of massive world and community that WoW did, not to mention the two factions and the deep lore from WarCraft 3. Nowadays, WarCraft lore has been dragged through the mud, and a million other games offer everything WoW did. On top of it all, we're all 15 years older and couldn't give two craps about grinding for months for some purple item in a vidya game.
  14. If you mean actual MMORPGs, as in WoW, Everquest, Ultima Online style, there aren't any. That being said, Bless Online is worth playing just to experience how godawful it is.
  15. Not really, I just have a list of stuff I'm deeply interested in, which I watch/play/read as soon as it comes out. This types of content are relatively few and far between, of course. Everything else I just consider disposable and quit midway if it doesn't seem worth it.
  16. Am I missing something, or is there absolutely no mention of 3200g/3400g APUs?
  17. Funko-pops no because they're trash, but I have a Sons of Anarchy belt buckle that has had the little hook part on it break off, rendering it useless as a belt buckle. I hope to someday figure out a way to mount it inside my case.
  18. I love RBG. On my keyboard, it's actually immensely useful because it helps me type (I write for a living) due to me being able to see the keys with my peripheral vision. On non-RBG keyboards I can't do that, and it causes me to make more typos and forces me to look at the keyboard more often. As for purely decorative RGB, I love that as well. I got a blue RBG theme going on with my computer (because my KB is a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Classic that only has blue RBG) and I really love looking at it. Especially while I work or wait for a game to load or something, I love to look at the lit up components indie the case.
  19. Great news. As the owner of an ASUS X370 Pro, I'm especially happy with ASUS claiming their 1st gen mobos will be able to withstand 3rd gen Ryzen. If 3rd gen offers enough advantage over 1st gen, I might end up upgrading in a couple years when 4th gen comes along and 3rd gen prices drop.
  20. I can't fall asleep while watching a video unless I'm both tired and super drunk. That being said, GN is all about presenting technical information in an impartial way. I don't think of it in the same entertainment way as I think of LTT, JayZ, and so on. HardwareUnboxed would probably be the middle ground between entertainment and GN-style highly technical videos.
  21. I disagree. The OP is not that woman's psychiatrist. The OP has a life of her own. Why would she spend hours upon hours listening to this woman's venting, all while the same woman ignored any heartfelt advice she was given? Out of pity? I'm sorry that you and this woman have issues that make getting over stuff like this difficult. But both of you are still adults. Take action. Deal with your situation. If you're unable to, seek professional help. If you (or this woman) don't actually want to work to make things better for yourself, then that's your choice, but you can't expect other people to serve as your trauma dumpsters just because you're suffering. Friendship goes both ways.
  22. As I said, screw her. You have better, more positive things to do in your life than deal with that kind of childish negativity. Everybody does.
  23. I get you, I'm also the kind of person who likes to help people out. Sadly, a lot of the time not only are our efforts wasted on individuals who don't really appreciate them, they also tend to bring unnecessary negativity and drama into our lives. For a lack of a better word, these people end up being "toxic" to us. From what you described in this thread, I get the impression this friend is really just using you (and her other friends) as an audience that will listen to her endlessly vent about her problems. She's clearly refusing to help herself (as proven by her refusing to cut her losses and move on from the failed relationship), so any advice you try to give her is just a waste of your time and energy. Ofc, she's likely not aware of this dynamic because she's too wound up in her emotions and unable to control herself. This wouldn't be a huge problem if she was a teenager, but in her 30s this to me is an indication of an infantile mind, psychological problems, low IQ, egotism, and a bunch of other bad traits I wouldn't want to see in a close friend.
  24. It's scary to think that huge companies that have a direct effect on internet free speech have so many people who subscribe to extreme political views. Hopefully, these articles are over-exaggerated for the sake of clicks.
