Using r7 240 , Since my 280x died abut 2 weeks ago .

I won’t get into the debate of what gamergate was or what it has become. Since I don’t support either way. However I do have close friends, both male and female that do support it. So I tend to play devil’s advocate on their behalf. But to label them and put them in the same category, as people that strap explosives to themselves. That kill innocent women and children or behead and gun down people for no logical reason. People that terrorise millions of innocent around the world, is in my opinion, insulting and out of line If the government says its cracking down on terrorism. Should those that support gamergate go into hiding? Should gamergate supporters be subject to the antiterrorism laws of our country as well? Or Perhaps over time the meaning of terrorism has evolved to mean more extreme forms, perhaps the broader sense of what it meant has diminished to extremists only. Ask someone from a younger generation what a terrorist is? What would they say? What would a government count as a terrorist? What would a victim that has lost loved ones to terrorists say? According to the dictionary he was right in what he said about some of its members. But I think In the times we live in, a lot of people would agree that the meaning has somewhat changed and what he said was unfair. And since the majority of gamergate supporters have made no treats, then they can't be labelled as terrorists under any definition. Just because you believe what they are doing is wrong or unfair, doesn't give you the right to label them terrorists. I could even play devils’ advocate and say he meant it in an a non-extremist way, but since he didn’t call them terrorists, he said “we don’t negotiate with terrorists” a phrase that is mostly only said by governments when dealing with the most extreme terrorists .

Absolutely, threatening peoples is wrong and if its for political motives then yes, it can be branded terrorism. But those people were a minority and don't represent the movement as a whole. Should all Muslims be brand terrorists based on the actions of a few ?

Any thoughts ? Another shovel maybe?

Thanks for the help so far, its been great. How would a AMD Athlon 5350 stack up against a Intel Celeron G1820.? Amd seems to use less power but has more cores. Would it make a difference what the CPU was ? More concerned about power consumption. AMD's 25w as appose to intels 53w.

Hi I’m in need help choosing a NAS for my family to use. As of current we have several laptop/desktops/tablets in use and I’ve been looking for a way to centrally store all of our data/movie/pics/music so all family members can have easy access to it. I’ve been doing some research on NAS but it seems like a bit if a minefield. And I’m unsure of what I would be suitable. I’m pretty computer illiterate but have never done networked storage before so have some questions. Is it easier to buy an empty storage unit and add my own drives ? or Just buy one that already has drives? (I have already got 4x1TB drives spare and was thinking it might save some money?) How easy is it to add/remove drives as my storage needs change? Is it easier to reuse some old pc components to build my own NAS? Anyone got and recommendation? My main priorities are Keeping cost down/making sure its expandable/Easyish to set up and easy enough for my family to use. Thanks in advance

I've just tried swapping out the cpu to a spare i have, and still no change. Also tried a fresh windows install and nothing. I been looking around the interwebbymabob and it seems like there are others with the same problem. So maybe a AMD driver issue ? though im not sure why i it randomly started. I'll wait for a driver update and see if that fixes it. Anyone got any other suggestions in the mean time ?

I’ve had multiple issues with windows 8 and booting issues in the past, I’m on my 5th re-install !!! The restarting loop is a common issue with windows 8, I managed to re-install from disk though. Have u tried a different windows 8 disk ? I’ve also had problems with windows 8 and raid set ups. Have you tried disconnecting all your other drive and just booting with your ssd's plugged in ? Are your ssd's in raid?

Yes all driver are up to date, using 13.12. I've tried a refresh install and rolled back to the two previous ones. As well as chipset/bios updates. This happens during gaming i was just recreating the situation to show you No 8350 don't have integrated graphics. And i've retried on 2 different R7 260x's/ same thing though longer intervals

I'm in need of some help with a problem i've been having with my GPU. Every time i run both my GPU and CPU at 100% usage at the same time my GPU Usage Spikes up and down between 0 and 100% every 1/2 second. My CPU usage is fine. I first noticed it while playing a game as i monitored cpu and gpu usage. cpu was at 50% usage but GPu was spiking between 0 and 100%. And my game was crashing every 10-15mins But i can run the GPU at 100% with to spike but only if my CPU isn't under any load. All temps are stable and are not a problem I've never had this problem before and am stuck on what to do. First of all, nothing is over-clocked, My cpu is at base speed with turbo disabled. Memory is 1866 rated but running at 1333. My Gpu is factory over-clocked but i don't think that,s the problem. All drivers and Bios are up to date, Pc is virus free and really doesn't have much beyond stream installed. At first i though it was something wrong with GPU as its a brand new R9 290x oc Windforce from Gigabyte. But i swapped it out for my 260x and the the same thing happened, though in larger intervals (every 15-30 seconds) which was curious. Not sure what to try next ?
