  1. Hello, Yesterday I started having issues with everything disconnecting (usb 2.0: keyboard and mice, usb 3.0: external hdd, usb-c: external ssd, bluetooth headphones). When I restart my pc everything works, then when I start doing some work with 3D software everything starts disconnecting and reconnecting. It usually happens for 5-7 times in a row, then it fixes itself and I don't have this issue anymore for a few hours. After a few hours it starts disconnecting again. At first I thought it's something to do with just universal bus port drivers, so I tried: Reinstalling usb drivers for atleast 20 times, didn't help a bit. I bought Easy Drive Pro software, it updated every single driver on pc. Disabled USB suspend in power options. Tried running hardware troubleshooter, it didn't find anything. Everything works perfectly fine in both BIOS and in Windows as long as I don't login and start doing any work, so I'm assuming it has something to do with Windows. The day before I was working and gaming, everything was working perfectly, the only thing I did before turning my pc off was uninstall one game. I also checked if Windows Update put any new stuff into my pc that day and I only found something called 'Apple, Inc. - USBDevice - 486.0.0.0' but I'm not sure if this was installed automatically or if it got installed when I was trying to reinstalling usb drivers. I also have no idea what or where this thing is or how I can remove it. I don't use any apple products. I have a custom build desktop PC, I never had any problems with it for over two years. However, I recently had to transport it across the Europe. I transported it in a case in a back of a car between the seats. My old GPU got damaged during the transportation, so I had to buy a new GPU (everything worked good with the new gpu for a few days before things started disconnecting). So I assume it's also possible that something in the motherboard could have been damaged from the vibrations during transportation. But then why did it start happening about a week after the transportation and why does it only happen when I start doing work and doesn't happen in BIOS. I'm completely lost, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I might try to reinstall Windows at some point but it's troublesome as I have about 3tb of stuff in my PC and I don't have enough external ssd and hdd to backup everything, plus I'm afraid to connect them so they wouldn't get corrupted when everything keeps disconnecting. PC details: Asus x299-Prime Deluxe i9-7940X 96GB Ram RTX 3090 Windows 10 Pro 64bit Using Bitdefender as an antivirus I'm also doing some heavy 3D rendering and I have no issues with it, CPU, GPU and RAM work without any issues at nice speeds.
  2. Tried it, doesn't help Edit: It is because of the safe files, secured folders option in my BitDefender... Turned it off and it's fixed, wasn't Windows problem after all.
3. Hello, I need help with my Windows machine. I have built my first custom PC, I first installed windows 10 without a key, later I bought a key for Windows 10 Pro and upgraded it.The problem I have is that some of my software can't work properly, because they are unable to write in some directories.I noticed this yesterday on two occasions:01. A game Sid Meiers Civilization: I can't save the game. I press the save button, but it then does not appear in my documents folder, nor in the game itself. Also, every time I open the game, it is like it is opened for the first time because it clearly cannot save any preferences in that folder.02. Software ZBrush: I literally can't open the software, because when I do, I get the errors, first one being:Unable to save file C:/Users/Public/Documents/ZBrushData2018/ZBrushScratchDiskPathAnd then it is followed by another error:FILE WRITE ERROR: Sorry, the disk space is critically low. ...I only have one 2tb SSD drive in my desktop and it is half empty right now.I tried opening programs as an administrator, also tried messing with sharing options and unchecking read-only options for Documents folder, but nothing worked for me.Also, when I open those locations, for example where the game saves files, it is completely empty, but I can create or modify anything inside it, so it seems like I have the permission to do so, but not when I run the programs itself.I suspect reinstalling windows might help, but I really don't want to do that, as I would have to reinstall so many things again. Anyone have any ideas, please? Thank you
  4. Sorry, I can't find more info about it on google. Branded 2080ti's (asus, evga, etc) are triple slot, founders edition is double slot, am I right? And how many triple slot cards can fit in x299 motherboards? Thanks
  5. Hello, I'm planning on building a workstation pc and my question is: how many 2080ti's could I potentially put in the x299 rampage vi extreme motherboard? Is it possible to have 1080 + 2080 ti + 2080 ti, in a x299 rampage vi extreme motherboard, is there enough room/space between pcie lanes and other things? I want to buy 1080 now because of the price drop and I'll wait for rendering benchmarks before buying new RTX cards. I'd have two RTX in SLI and a single 1080. I'd like to use both rtx for gaming and all three of them while using rendering software. Does this make sense? Thank you
  6. I'm not in any rush. Like I said, I'm just planning. I'll probably start building it in August/September. Thank you for recommendations.
  7. Hello. I am planning my future build of x299 system and I'm looking for best motherboard options. I am going to use 7900X, 64/128gb ram, two 1080ti's and I would like to use 970 EVO ssd without any bottlenecks, being able to use that write/read speed. The PC will be mostly used for heavy 3D work (Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Octane Render) and gaming. I just want full functions from the motherboard, don't care about any RGB stuff or how it looks. I am currently looking at ASRock x299 taichi and Asus WS x299 Pro. Both look good and I honestly don't even know what's the difference between them, but i saw x299 taichi review and the guy talked about some m.2 slot bottlenecks, that it requires extra stuff for full speed. I've been doing research for a week regarding building custom pc, but I'm very still new to this, so any tips and guidance will be helpful. Thank you!
