  1. Titan will likely consist of Ex6, apex, kenny and gang. While LDLC may pick up Shox's lineup due to their organisation having more money to go around as compared to epsilon. The changes are not confirmed, so there may be additional changes. Expect everything pretty much, as of this post its been a good 2-4 days since the "news" came out, likely so they are still in discussion and further roster changes might occur.
  2. *SPOILER* NiP have won the tournament. Vods and match data can be found here:http://kniferound.net/wiki/ESL_One:_Cologne_2014
  3. This is one of the reasons Another one is like what ZetZet said, but not wasx. Players like Titan's in game leader Ex6tenz use the arrow keys to move and keypad 0 to walk etc etc.
  4. Same here. Bought my blackwiddow 2012 ultimate back then for like 180 sgd, its a pretty decent keyboard considering it has handled over 2 years of competitive gaming abuse in both starcraft 2 (which by far is the most demanding of the keyboard) and now csgo (still runs like clockwork). But i would have bought a filco keyboard for around the same price. Preferably one with the keys printed facing front rather than on top so as to preserve the keys.
  5. In about 24 hours from this post ESL One cologne will commence as another valve funded CSGO major. Coming fresh of G3 where in CSGO saw Virtus.Pro back on championship form after what seemed like an unstoppable Dignitas. The 2nd placers, Titan, also seemed renewed with the previous 3 months fairing poorly for the french-belgian team, putting good run through to the finals beating the likes of a new Fnatic and ESEA s16 and s15 champions iBuyPower (who have beaten Titan in the finals of ESEA s15). Dignitas were unseen for the past few months seeing as they were on holiday, but with this G3 performance, they reminded everyone of how much of a threat they still can be. The biggest shocker of all was for sure NiP's performance. With the loss of this tournament, losing 2-0 to Dignitas and a poor group stage that they barely made it through, this will be the 2nd time that NiP has placed outside of top 4, the first being ESEA s16. Now coming into ESL One, the big questions are: Is the era of NiP's dominance over the game in terms of consistency over? Will VP maintain their form and take another CSGO major as well as being the first team to win two majors? Can Titan reclaim their former glory and secure their placing as the top 4 in the world again? Is this the first major that an American team might win? All those questions will be answered in time to come. This will be one heck of tournament. So, who are you rooting for and why? 6. Well then i have some good news for you. They are being bought over by Cloud 9 which to say is a premier esports team. They will get salaried and even have access to a team house as well as a larger budget for lan competitions. Excited to see what this team can become.
  7. Dont think its a huge issue. ESG had every right to raise that point, dAT had also the responsibility to address that point. If dAT get DQ because of it then its too bad. Rules are rules, no need to raise pitchforks for something so simple.
  8. No game can single handedly take over the esports scene. They are number one when it comes to how large and how popular they are, but dominance and monopoly over the esports scene is impossible and unrealistic. Its like trying to say soccer is going to take over the sports scene, its not. There will always be people liking other games, may not be as popular, but still an entirely different aspect of esports that riot cannot and will not be able to control.
  9. How would i set this up for live streaming from console to PC? I have my old live stream console setup involving the old HDPVR, with standard ypbpr from the 360 to the HDPVR and then from the HDPVR to the PC. To input live commentary i also have a audio mixer that brings the two standard mono red and white from the 360 to mixer then from the mixer to the HDPVR and then to the PC. Is it still possible to do the live commentary with this?
  10. What do you guys think about the ATH CKS77X or the CKX7?
  11. I was hoping for more of a smaller form factor like earbuds. I guess i should have been clearer in the description. Thanks anyway!
  12. Hi guys, I'm looking for earpieces for under a 150, but preferably out of ear (i can't stand the in ear ones sometimes) and are good for 2 main things which are: DnB (drum and bass) style kind of music and for some degree of FPS gaming (CSGO notably). Side note, if there are in ear earpieces that you think are worth it go ahead and post them here, i might get one if it really is worth it. Also if not really suitable for FPS gaming then its okay also, just drop a quick mention. Most important is def the music. For your reference heres a track that best represents what kind of music im listening to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F41lj80297E. Also it would be nice if you could link me a buy site or something (amazon etc), I live in Singapore so if you happen to know some place i can get it locally that would be great! Thanks all!
  13. It really bothers me if theres like a prominent sound like clicking or any sort of distinct, annoying (even if subtle) sound. Otherwise, like fans running and humming noises and what not im alright with those. I voted for a 5, am wearing headsets anyway.
  14. Pro sc2 player Destiny did quite a detailed article about some of the ways you can protect yourself from DDOS attacks. Him being such a prominent streamer requires him to have protection against such attacks. Do take a look http://blog.destiny.gg/protection-from-ddos-attacks/
  15. I think this is a huge issue. At least here in where I live (Singapore) we have such things called "CCA" co-curricular activities where after standard school hours, students would participate in such activities. The system is heavily ingrained with the focus still being studying, if there is any small indication of when the student participating in CCA is starting to drop their grades, then they would be approached to drop the CCA, if they refuse then they would be removed. I guess this works because majority of students here actually want to study, not sure how a system like this would work with students who wont want to study and with such a popular and time demanding thing such as esports.
  16. I called mine "My left hand" Doesn't work as well as my right hand, but oh well.
  17. 5, played some weird game called tactical ops on my old compaq desktop back then.
  18. I had a friend who speculated that the E3 demo was a separate engine run for PC to run the demo. Afterwards due to time constraints or what not, they couldnt finish the PC engine and instead decided to do an easier engine on the console then porting it to PC to save time. Sounds way off the mark, possible? I hope Ubi dont mess up The Divison. That game looks incredible and I want to play it on the sickest graphical quality available. Then again, im getting it for console so i guess that dosent matter LOL
  19. Wrong thread mate. On a side note, Taeja undefeated is amazing. Not sure how HerO will play. On another side note. HOLY hell NiP and Friberg on that last round vs HellRaisers. Insane insane aiming. Excited for the finals!
  20. He is alright imo, but against teams like HR or even VP, he is probably going to get outclassed because of how good their rifles are. The match against NiP is on atm, will see how that goes.
  21. That was just before tournament prediction, at the bottom i did state that fnatic's loss to SK was unexpected to some degree. Didn't want to spoil it so early on. Haha! Nice linking. I'm still thinking they shouldnt always center the entire team around him, its too little room to work around.
  22. This has to be imo, the most unpredictable tournament so far. I'll lay my thoughts on this. (no spoilers hopefully ) Top contenders to take the title are your typical 3, NiP, Titan, VP. Fnatic, havent seen them play well since dreamhack winter, so i dont expect them to win at all. Navi might also be a contender coming out of Starladder with such an impressive win against the top teams, likely this tournament will tell the tale of whether Starladder was a fluke and they become another Clan-Mystik back then when they won ESWC against VG or another Fnatic where after they won DHW13 they been really on the board. I would like NiP to take the title, standard fan boy procedure as usual. Realistically, I have a strong feeling it might be a NiP vs VP finals, if not either NiP or VP vs Navi in the finals. Titan probably will get knocked out towards the quarterfinals. Probably going to be a close match either way. [WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD] NiP have been playing pretty ok, losing a few key online leagues such as faceit really showed they werent on top form. They did bootcamp a week before Dreamhack summer, so i can only assume they will be in good shape to play. Their main contenders at this point seem like either Navi or VP. Titan arent really in the mix considering the last time they faced off, NiP did play well against them on Nuke or something (can't exactly remember). Vs VP officially they have won maps against them after VP's stomping at EMS One Katowice so I think they will be alright against them. VP has been a team consistently giving NiP issues. I don't think i've seen Navi play an official match vs NiP so its going to be hard to tell how they will match up if they do face. I believe NiP will take it against Navi, they are masters of preparation against teams who they have had problems with or have lost to in the past. NiP did have a shaky group stage almost losing the first map, has happened before, 2nd match was pretty much a stomp. Excited to see how far they can go. VP, not much to say, really good results in the past few matches, the golden 3 along with snax and byali, insane lineup. I've never seen a team just kick into high gear so quickly before, i personally fear for any team they play against. Then again, losing to NiP and Navi at starladder, plus a super shaky (albeit god like half) in the group stages against SK. Earlier a good showcase of skill against fnatic. Looking strong going into the post group stages. Strong contender for the title of course. Titan, devastating losses. Pick up of KennyS was quite a shocker to me. Shox was just like a top 3 player and overall when Titan played it just seemed like Shox had that right flair to allow Titan to play their tactical style with the space to do individual plays without revolving too much upon one player. Their current style is now free and open running around KennyS and supporting him. I don't like it, i think it hinges too much on one person. Titan is full of individual stars, i hope they maintain that and while still keeping kennyS free. Its going to be a tough balance. That said, really really shaky group stages for Titan. Losing against HellRaisers was a big blow, it just seemed like a combination of Kenny not carrying the team enough to Hellraisers just hitting all their shots was too much. Good games vs Reason and some other mid level team. If titan pick it up and stomp their next match without kennyS doing most of the work, then will i think they will be able to contend for the title. If not, just quarterfinals. Navi and SK are two teams with alot of potential. Im personally interested to see how SK play throughout this tournament and how far Navi can progress. If you've watched, Fnatic is out. Sure they had a hard group, but the champions of DHW13 and 2nd placers of DHS13, this is a miserable result. With this Fnatic is def not a top tier team anymore. They need to make it to another final or have good consistent top place finishes to be back on the playing board.
