  1. Then whatever game that costs $40 to $70 that you do like, insert into my previous sentence. Understandable. Yea, 15 emails a month isn't a big deal. And how much you play Sunblaze is created the moment you install and play it. I'd guess a half hour if you actually did.
  2. I think that people either want to play the game or they don't. If there were marketing emails to own a copy of Diablo 4 I bet @SansVarnic would sign right up.
  3. You can turn them off directly after you claim the game if you don't want to receive their marketing emails. I leave them on because they are sent directly to my Promotions tab emails, not my Primary tab. They do send quite a bit of Promotion emails throughout each month(15 to be exact) but for some reason I am surprisingly not annoyed by choosing to browse them even though I have never benefitted from any of these marketing emails. They mostly say, "Your exclusive discount" on some random game I never buy or "Noteworthy releases" or an email whenever I claim a free game it says, "Game added to your library". There is one bright side to these emails and that's that I have a record of the exact day I claimed free games. Sometimes I want to know these exact dates for random reasons.
  4. "Visit GOG and scroll down to claim the Cyberpunk 2077 & Phantom Liberty Goodies Collection for FREE." This way is much easier. You just sign in and scroll down until you see the button to claim the game.
  5. Sunblaze is FREE right now on GOG. 92% Very Positive reviews on Steam... link. This free game offer is available until June 13, 2023. “The Celeste and Super Meat Boy connoisseurs won't get enough of it, and the casual gamer will have a ball sinking hours into this fun action-adventure. Sunblaze is platforming excellence, personified.” - DashGamer “Hardcore parkour. These stages play out like a sinister version of Ninja Warrior, where failure means a lot more than splashing down into a pool and trying again next year.” - Quit the Build
  6. Visit GOG and scroll down to claim the Cyberpunk 2077 & Phantom Liberty Goodies Collection for FREE. You can claim the goodies collection only until June 14, 2023. They gave out the Cyberpunk 2077 GC a while back, this is exactly that same collection but they added the Phantom Liberty Goodies with it. Total size of the collection after extracting everything is 6.31 GB, so tons of wallpapers to utilize. The previous Cyberpunk 2077 wallpapers have been in my desktop rotation ever since. Image above is one of the 4K wallpapers from the Phantom Liberty Goodies.
  7. I found this and I think if you read it all you should be able to make the decision easier. Personally, I use a router that I have no clue what GHz it actually is and I made sure both my PCs are wired into the router via ethernet. And in doing so, there is no dropped connection 99% of the time. The 1% is either when the power goes out or at midnight when my internet provider just has to do a monthly maintenance from their end to refresh everything. In which I lose connection for 3-5 minutes once a month at midnight on a random night, usually at the end of the month.
  8. Amnesia A Machine for Pigs is FREE right now on GOG. 68% Mixed reviews on Steam... Link. Visit the GOG webpage, scroll down until you see the giveaway to claim it. You have until June 9, 2023 to claim it. This game was given out by Epic back in mid October of 2020 for those that remember. The Chinese Room also developed other similar walking simulators such as Dear Esther, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Little Orpheus. Originally meant to be a mod, Amnesia A Machine for Pigs (2013) is an indirect sequel to Amnesia The Dark Descent (2010), which was developed and produced by Frictional Games. While set in the same universe as The Dark Descent, it features a new cast of characters and time setting. Initially code-named "gameB" by The Chinese Room, the announcement of Amnesia A Machine for Pigs was preceded by a viral marketing and alternate reality game campaign that began when Frictional Games updated their website Next Frictional Game, which has prior been used to announce the first installment, in early 2012. The website featured a heavily blurred image, the Amnesia logo and a caption reading "Something is emerging...". The blurred image was hyperlinked to Google Maps with the search field set as "China". The website was later updated with a slightly less blurred image, and hyperlinked to Google Maps with the search field set as "Boreray." It was updated for a second time, with a non-blurred image (a piece of concept art), redirecting to Google Maps with the search field set as 502 2nd Avenue in Seattle. The three hyperlinks were hints towards The Chinese Room's involvement in the game (a previous game by The Chinese Room, Dear Esther, was set on a Hebridean island like Boreray, and the address in Seattle pointed towards a restaurant named 'The Chinese Room'). Examination of the site's source code led fans to a webpage that resembled a computer console with usable commands and a countdown. After the expiration of the countdown, a message on the page read "A machine for pigs coming fall two thousand twelve." The game was formally announced via video game blog Joystiq.
  9. Field of Glory II is FREE right now on Steam. 88% Very Positive reviews. Free to keep when you get it before Jun 8 @ 12:00pm.
  10. No but my guess is the hundreds of negative reviews left in the past week have something to do with it. I just wish I knew why the game works for me but not for the majority of everyone else. Could be because I'm still on Windows 10 and I haven't updated my GPU drivers in ages. Newer drivers may cause conflictions with the game.
  11. No worries. Remember that stress testing is for a reason and that temps while gaming on a motherboard like yours can slowly climb up, even if your CPU isn't doing much. Just keep an eye on wattage and temps while gaming and you'll be fine. Any temp below 100 degrees is 100% safe and again, I'd want my gaming temps to be anywhere in the 80's to lengthen the lifespan of the CPU. And ideally the low 80's with your current setup because you don't need your CPU to do a whole lot with your current GPU. I'd worry about pushing the boundaries of the CPU when you upgrade your GPU.
  12. Should be in your Ai Tweaker in Advanced Mode of your BIOS. Set the CPU Core Ratio to Sync All Cores and set the All-Core Ratio Limit to 41. Then you're all set. Make sure in your Windows OS that your Power Plan maximum and minimum processor states are set to 100% and 5%. This will keep your CPU cool while idle. Yes normal usage may only take less than 100W and 80 C but you want your stress tests at that same thing at 4.1 GHz, especially since your CPU is not your bottleneck.
  13. EDIT: I updated this topic below with information about the repeated Goodie Pack downloads. Scroll down until you see the color GREEN. To celebrate the launch of a new System Shock game, GOG is giving away a great bundle of goodies, including high-quality videos and art. You can only claim the pack until June 2, 2023. Visit the GOG webpage, scroll down until you see the goodie pack to claim it. The image shown is from the pack and I rescaled it to 2560 x 1440 using Power Toys. I also noticed that one of the 6 packs in the Goodies pack is not what it's supposed to be. The Pixel Art one, when you download it you receive the high res pack. So hopefully they fix that. EDIT: This issue has been resolved. The Pixel Art Pack is now downloadable. Here are a few of the Pixel Art GIF files that are in it... As for the new System Shock game, I've been looking forward to playing this game for years now. After playing the demo years ago, it seemed like an excellent remake. I'm gonna snag it when it hits $10-$15 or so, which will most likely be more years of waiting. It's a $40 game and is 15% off($33.99) right now on Fanatical for those looking to pick it up early.
  14. This video shows you're at 4.5 GHz hitting 152W and 90 degrees. You're gonna want to lower that. Do the same test but manually clock the CPU to 4.1 GHz and post the same video of the test.
  15. Yes, that PSU is fine for your current hardware for sure, plenty of watts. The TDP of a 4060 is miniscule at just 110W so you still have plenty of watts for that upgrade. If your PSU is getting up there in age though I'd look to upgrade it after say, 5-8 years of use. You don't need to mess with voltage, it'll automatically be where it needs to be. 90W and 80 degrees is excellent, especially if that's at 4.5 GHz. Just to make sure that's what you're actually getting, could you record a video showing these values during a Cinebench stress test? No need to record the entire stress test, just the last 30 seconds will do just fine. Those are some great numbers, just wanna make sure you're looking at the right values in whatever software you're using such as HWMonitor. Even just a screenshot of HWMonitor during the stress test will do, it doesn't have to be a video.
  16. Most of those reviews are having crashing issues, why I do not know because the game runs fine. As for the gameplay in general, I can't really judge it tbh as I'm not super into these types of games but I would say that if you're the type of gamer that is into these types of games I wouldn't say it's a negative experience. In fact, going through the tutorials and learning how to actually get the train moving and coasting while going downhill was a positive experience.
  17. What is your GPU and what are all your storage devices? Your motherboard is quite basic and your cooler seems to be a compact cooler. The i7 9700 cannot be overclocked. The good news is that the max operating temp of the i7 9700 is 100 degrees. I'd try to achieve the max all core clock speed, which I think is 4.4 to 4.5 GHz and since I'm not sure I'd try to not go over 4.4 GHz. However, as I mentioned, your motherboard and cooler are pretty basic so I'd manually clock the CPU to around 4.0 GHz with voltage on auto and work your GHz up in 0.1 intervals until temps are anywhere in the 80's during stress testing. You mentioned you're getting 80 degrees at 4.0 GHz and hitting 110W on the CPU. The 80 degrees is fine but the 110W seems a little high when the TDP of an i7 9700 is just 65W. 80-95W would be expected so I can see 110W during testing to be normal. Any temp under 100 degrees is 100% safe. Ideally though, I'd want temps anywhere in the 80's, especially if you're achieving that 4.4 GHz. It's these temps that will extend the lifespan of the CPU. Oh and keep in mind that your PSU is just 450W. This is why I asked what your GPU and storage devices are to make sure your wattage is in check.
  18. No problem. I got the game up and running, zero crashes. Game works fine, no clue why people are claiming crashes. My only problem with the game is getting the train to actually move. I got it to move and go like 130 MPH for a few minutes but I restarted the game because I wanted to play on low settings, which actually boosted fps by 70! But now that I started over I don't know what I pressed to get the train moving. I should probably play the tutorial.
  19. TGV Voyages Train Simulator is FREE right now on Steam. 45% Mixed reviews... People are claiming crashes. Free to keep when you get it before Jun 2 @ 1:00pm. Installing the game now and gonna look into the crashes. EDIT: Game works just fine, not a single crash. I get like 25-40 fps on the highest settings so I'm gonna play on Low for a nice 70 fps boost! I'd imagine the AA is hitting performance when using the highest settings.
  20. Hue is FREE right now on Steam. 94% Very Positive reviews. Free to keep when you get it before Jun 8 @ 1:00pm. For those that remember, Hue was given out for free on Epic Games nearly 3 years ago. Hue is a 2016 puzzle platformer published by Curve Games, formerly known as Curve Digital. They changed the name in October 2021 as part of their commitment to better support developers. A few years ago Hue was also ported to iOS and Android but oddly enough they have different listed developers and a different name as the title and it's free on iOS but $4.99 on Android. Weird.
  21. Warhammer 40000 Gladius Relics of War is FREE right now on Steam. 80% Very Positive reviews. Free to keep when you get it before Jun 1 @ 1:00pm. Final Liberation Warhammer Epic 40,000 is FREE right now on GOG. To obtain this game for free visit GOG, scroll down and you will see the Goodie Pack giveaway. The Warhammer Skulls 2023 Digital Goodie Pack includes the following: Final Liberation Warhammer 40,000 - Here is the direct GOG link to this game you get in the Goodie Pack. Warhammer Skulls wallpapers First-month discount code for Warhammer+ Black Library's book extract Warhammer merchandise discount Cubicle 7 discount Now for the Bonus Goodie Pack I mentioned, the Planet of Lana Goodie Pack is FREE right now on GOG. It started a couple days ago actually but I wanted to wait until today to post it since I knew there was gonna be another Goodie Pack being given out. This Planet of Lana Goodie Pack only consists of wallpapers and concept art but IMO it's got some really great wallpapers and they're all 4K quality. Personally, I used Power Toys to rescale them to 1440p to fit my monitor resolution. HIGHLY recommend picking this up for those who've yet to do so. Oh and P.S. - Some of you may remember this post from last year(below) so don't confuse it with todays games/goodie packs as they are different...
  22. That's the one I posted, it's actually $37 with the rebate because there's a $5 shipping charge.
  23. Not entirely... $125 Ryzen 5 5600. This is the closest to its historical low back in early/mid November of 2022 when it hit $119 and $128-$130 is its common sale price over the past 6 months so at least someone here on this old platform might want to save another $3-$5. You'd be surprised how many people own a 1600/2600/3600 and can make the jump just by selling off their 1600/2600/3600. The RAM speed demand for a 1600/2600 is much higher than a 5600. The benefit of your post is useful IMO.
