  1. Since you're considering to buy from a random third party, a used RTX 2060 Super is the better option and will give double the memory interface, double the memory bandwidth and around a 21.5% higher shader count. It's literally the direct equivalent to an RX 6600 in raw performance, depending on the exact game as some games favor NVIDIA while others favor AMD. Back in December and January a used RTX 2060 Super would go for as low as around $115 but as of February and March it's more around as low as $120 to $130, maybe a little over now that we're headed into April. There's also the older generation GTX 1080 Ti, which will edge them both out in performance due to the much higher VRAM, higher memory bandwidth, higher memory interface and of course, a higher shader count. The reason this older option is actually a solid option is not only for these higher specs but because the price you will find to be a lot lower. As low as literally $75 to $80 back in January, you're only looking at around as low as $100 smackers in March. Just remember that an RTX 2060 Super turns 5 years old in July while a GTX 1080 Ti just turned 7 years old a couple weeks ago. It's worth noting that some maintenance can be a good idea, fresh thermal paste is always nice. Just depends on the previous owner and everything they can tell you about what it's been through.
  2. RDR2 is understandable to wanna share but Left 4 Dead 2 hits literally $1 all the time and Warhammer Vermintide commonly sits at $2. I say have them spend $1 to $2 to play those two games with you and in the mean time I just found out that this new Family Sharing feature is still in Beta so many people are getting an error when trying to use it and this is because a lot of the BIG developers have opted OUT of this new Family Sharing feature. Which means RDR2 is most likely not on board with this new feature. I also found out that you must be in the same country as your friend for this feature to work.
  3. I'm not familiar with this new Family Sharing feature but what I can easily recommend you make sure to do is never give out any passwords to anybody, keep your passwords to yourself. I'd also think this new feature would not require anyone to give any passwords to anybody. What exactly are you trying to do?
  4. It shows as $0.99 on my end... Reviews are claiming it's fake though... "Good day. this product is not from the Logitech brand. The declared characteristics do not correspond to reality, this is ordinary garbage and not a mouse. the wireless connection does not work at a distance of 2 meters. the assembly does not correspond to the one indicated on the box of the product itself. cable and battery are missing. the official software does not work. There is no hero sensor installed, but an ordinary optical sensor that does not have an adjustment, as stated, 12,000 dpi. I feel like there are no more than 8,000. it doesn't suit me." "this is a fake. I have the real thing and when you put them next to each other, this mouse is clearly not a Logitech mouse" On a side note, have you tried the Logitech G703 yet? I went to Bestbuy a few weeks ago and tried out tons of mice there and this one sort of stood out the most. I never even knew it existed or anything but it just felt like something completely different, in a good way. Describing it is tough so I recommend going to Bestbuy whenever you get the chance to see why it stands out. I'm going to keep what stood out the most to see if someone else experiences the same thing I did from it.
  5. Book of Demons is FREE right now on GOG. 91% Very Positive reviews on Steam... Link. You have until March 25th to claim and keep this freebie forever. All elements of the game are visualized as paper cuttings and pop-up book elements, and such style defines visual framework for the whole series. 7. Why don't you just go with this for $550? The 20GB of VRAM, 39% faster memory bandwidth, 25% bigger memory bus and 5% higher shader count is nothing special. All this does is present a 10-20% performance boost, depending on the game. Do you really need 110-120 fps in a game where you get 100 fps or 220-240 fps in a game where you get 200 fps? These extra frames are nothing special.
  8. Business Name: Haikoushiqiyansushangmaodian Business Address: 海秀西路168号金华苑B栋B1601室 秀英区海秀街道办 海口市 海南 570100 CN You're screwed. It literally shows you can order 30 of them. I'd cancel ASAP!
  9. Space Crew Legendary Edition is FREE right now on Steam. 77% Mostly Positive reviews. Free to keep when you get it before Mar 14 @ 1:00pm. Rock Paper Shotgun praised the game's ability to make players feel like they have skillfully averted a major catastrophe while maintaining balanced gameplay, though they criticized an occasional lack of choice in some areas. Although saying that the game is fun when played in bite-sized chunks, PCGamesN compared it negatively to Into the Breach, FTL Faster Than Light and Slay the Spire, which the reviewer felt were more fun in longer gameplay sessions. Nintendo Life criticized the game's controls for the Switch and its difficulty, but they enjoyed the in-depth gameplay, art style, and character customization.

  16. Gee willikers you're right! What an amazing observation. Gonna have to do it now, just a matter of when really. I got Amazon Prime for another couple weeks so I have that amount of time to decide since shipping will be free. It's $70 right now but it's not straight from Sabrent. It's from a 3rd party Amazon seller. The good news is they have 100% positive feedback. If I go for the Sabrent Rocket 4.0 instead for the same price, I'd imagine it just operates at Gen 3 right? I guess I ask this just in case I somehow decide to build me a new PC within the next 5-10 years or so and I can reuse this drive. I wouldn't think I'd get the 5000/4400 speeds on this motherboard either but I'm totally fine with that. I do wonder what speeds it would default to on this board, maybe the 3400/3000 of the 3.0 Sabrent Rocket? Seems to me the hardware would be slightly better since it's a newer SSD but I think it's only like a half a year newer.
  17. @Kid.Lazer @Eigenvektor Well I'm proud to post that the Windows installation was a breeze and took less than a half hour to complete. Thanks again for the perfect guidance for this process. Optimizing Windows once it was up and running took a good couple of hours though, since I like to optimize the entirety of pretty much all you can think of that could be optimized within the OS itself. I just left the HDD inside the PC and plan to not even mess with it until the PC one day needs extra storage. I also unplugged the DVD drive because of the noise it made when you turn on the PC. Everything went so smoothly, I am now thinking about cloning my personal computers 1 TB HDD boot drive to a 1 TB SSD. I've been putting it off for just over 7 years now simply because I want absolutely no issues to arise because of how well my personal PC has been running flawlessly for me. Will a PCI-E 3.0 M.2 SSD be compatible with my MSI B150M BAZOOKA PLUS motherboard? Such as the Sabrent Rocket 1 TB for $70? The motherboards website shows... Storage • Intel® B150 Chipset • 6 x SATA 6Gb/s ports • 1 x M.2 slot (Key M) - Supports up to PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s - Supports 2242/ 2260/ 2280 storage devices - Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe Mini-SAS SSD with Turbo U.2 Host Card** * SATA1 port will be unavailable when installing the M.2 SATA module in M.2 slot. So I'm guessing it does, but the... "* SATA1 port will be unavailable when installing the M.2 SATA module in M.2 slot." I do NOT like seeing. I think that's where my current 1 TB HDD is installed.
  18. Excellent, thank you @Kid.Lazer and @Eigenvektor for the responses. Will apply all of this tomorrow with the SSD/HDD.
  19. So it's completely fine to disconnect the HDD that Windows is on and plug in the SSD? Then I'm guessing the PC powers up directly into the BIOS instead of Windows? Which is where I'd find the USB flash to install Windows? I'm not assuming I have to, I want to. Cloning is not required since what is on the HDD I have no care for. I want a completely fresh install. Also, do I need to allocate the SSD before installing Windows? I would think this happens when installing Windows via the flash drive.
  20. I just got a brand new 240 GB SSD and I'm looking to install it into a 10 year old PC with Windows 10 installed onto its current HDD. I do NOT care about what is currently on the HDD as I just did a fresh Windows 10 install onto it. I have written down both Windows keys I found within the PC via the registry, powershell and command prompts. The powershell and command prompt keys are the same and I'm thinking to use the registry key as it's most likely the key for Windows 10 Home while the other 2 keys are for the original Windows 8.1 that was originally installed on this PC. I have the SATA cable ready for the SSD and hopefully the other cable that connects to the SSD via the PSU is waiting inside the PC(I have yet to open it yet but it should be there). I have also prepared the Windows 10 installation via a USB flash drive with the Windows Creation Tool. So I'm wanting to know the best steps to take for this entire process as I'd also like to reuse the current HDD for extra storage. I'd like to wipe it clean. Also, I'm fairly familiar with the creating New Volumes process via Disk Management. Also, I will be doing this tomorrow, not today. So I'm looking to get the best step by step possible.
  21. Mordheim City of the Damned is FREE right now on GOG. 72% Mostly Positive reviews on Steam... link. You have until January 28th, 2024 to claim and keep this freebie forever. Developed by Canadian developer Rogue Factor, the creators of Necromunda Underhive Wars and the upcoming 2025 title Hell is Us, this is a tactical RPG game based on the 1999 tabletop game Mordheim where you lead warbands into bloody and lethal skirmishes. The game received mixed reviews, although gaining an average score of 74/100 on Metacritic. Some reviewers praised the "pleasantly morbid" atmosphere and deep game mechanics as befitting the tabletop original, but the game AI, steep and unforgiving learning curve, and technical issues (particularly UI and load times) were described as frustrating. Rock, Paper, Shotgun was particularly critical of the uninspiring, unexciting and languid combat, calling the game dumb and flawed.
  22. Read this, I stopped posting about Epic freebies 4 years ago. I also stopped updating the blog around Epic freebie #202. Another reason I stopped posting about Epic freebies is because they're always leaked well before they are given out. For example, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will be free in a half hour and next Thusdays freebie will be Sail Forth and the Thursday after that it will be a game called LOVE. Sometimes I do post about Epic freebies that take place outside of every Thursday, as mentioned here...
  23. South of the Circle is FREE right now on GOG. 83% Very Positive reviews on Steam... Link. This is a limited time freebie so claim ASAP. This is a deep narrative story rich adventure game developed by State of Play. It was influenced by other adventure games such as Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch. Originally the team wanted to create a game about great explorers visiting Antarctica in the 1930s, though this idea was subsequently scrapped. They obtained photos of Faraday Station during the 1960s from a mutual friend, and went to King George Island south of Chile to perform research for the game. It features a minimalistic artstyle and was inspired by screen prints during that period. The game explores masculinity, denial, isolation and reliability of memories. Some people say the experience was light on traditional gameplay and noted its general lack of interactivity and expressed their disappointment that the choices players made in the game had minimal impact on the story.
