So today we were joking to someone about them not knowing anything about tech. And so they used the argument that we don't know anything about football, but we were trying to say that football doesn't matter, you use technology every single day of your life yet you don't know anything about it. Anyway, later on in the conversation I bring up a picture of a motherboard and I mention a processor, and this is the golden bit, he goes "I just don't get it, like; how does a processor know all of the internet?".

Oh, i see. Well, I think you can configure the speed, timings etc for all the sticks in the BIOS.
 
EDIT: Like said above, I would just put all the ram sticks in and see if it works. If it doesn't, then remove the kit and work with the 16gb stick.

UW 1080p or 1440p are cheaper than the 4K monitor you are looking at, and you can just get a smaller screen size to make it fit on your desk which will also up the DPI. 
It's easier to get a smaller screen at the same resolution than buying a larger resolution to up DPI anyway (and your GPU will perform near the same, ignoring the extra pixels offered by Ultrawide).
You can still get the 4K if you want. I'm just saying, your reasons for wanting a new monitor mean that UW 1080p, 1440p, or 4K are all valid options with the right conditions (i.e. using a smaller screen size monitor for UW 1080p & 1440p).

As much as I'd like to try an ultrawide, I don't have that amount of money and it wouldn't make sense on my desk. Also, the whole point of upgrading is for a higher DPI.

A couple of months ago, when school was in session I had a project for another class in our Mac lab (consisting of $60-70 000 in hardware with a mere 30 computers and a large server array with incredible cable management that our computer teacher did). Anyways, I was just sitting there waiting for some packets that were being passed out and the teacher for the class I was in demanded to know why I was playing a game in class. The so-called game was a wallpaper of Civ Beyond Earth screenshot, which wasn't released and would definitely not run run on the 2010 iMac. A major face-membrane keyboard happened after that.

Basically I'm wondering if the K65 will be sold with MX browns or blue at any point, since the only thing stopping me from buying it is the MX reds.

We've all done it at some point and I find it's more likely to happen on cases that are a pain to work in.

Everything should go in easily, no need to use a bunch of force, the only part that needs a lot of force is the CPU clamp, which scares me every single time.
 
Make sure you're not kneeling/bending-over when you're building it, especially if you're doing it in a single long sitting, takes me like hours to recover from the strain
 
If you're not sure and you have a friend who knows what they're doing, have them come over, or even bring in someone who isn't as interested to just have another head in the mix.  Who knows maybe you'll inspire them.

Why do you need 2 970s for BF4?

Get 1 970 and with the saved money get an i5 or i7.

You're probably better off going for a (slightly more expensive) i3 with SLI 970's.
Only go for the Pentium if you plan on upgrading to an i5 or something soon (so you don't have to change motherboard)
 
EDIT: do as others suggest, go for 1x970 and an i5. 
Such as the i5 4690K or even i5 4440
