  1. Not sure I'd do a custom loop on non top tier components, especially if it reduces your performance. But yes, the 6750XT is around 20% less than the 3080 on average. Some games it will actually beat it (Witcher) and some it gets destroyed.
  2. Not really. People, including me, buy tray CPUs all the time. 90 day warranty at best. I have never and most likely will never care about a cpu warranty. Survivorship, sure. Accurate, most likely . I think his new buyer is being kind of petty. Especially if the cpu is already working for him.
  3. No, there isn't. The hype of SSD's are ridiclous these days. Everyone touting the new 10k drives as if they're the best thing since sliced bread. You couldn't tell me if I had a 500MB/s SATA drive or a 10k/s NVMe monster in my machine if you came over and used it for gaming. You'd have to do some benchmarks or force some serious productivity work on it.
  4. At 1080, they have a decent difference. Less at 1440p and almost none at 4K. But the key is 1% ad 0.1% lows. The X3D chips excel at MMORPG games where a LOT of calls are made, but they keep better lows all around. You never mentioned a budget, how are we to know what's expensive for you? 2k isn't a thing. It's either 1080p or 1440p.
  5. Do you want to boot off the new drive? Note that you won't notice any speed differences between then in actual use. If you move the 1tb to the other slot, you'll be fine. The Boot Manager identifies the boot drive, not a specific slot.
  6. 7800X3D is the fastest CPU on the planet for gaming currently. You WANT more cores? Why? Youtube a 7800X3D vs 7900X video.
  7. It's got 1 M.2 Slot. Basically any mainstream M.2 drive will work in it.
  8. Get a Fractal R5, R6 or 7 for that many HDDs and an ATX board.
  9. There have been quite a few threads about issues with Corsair RAM, enough to warrant not recommending it for AM5 systems at this time. Sure, I'll fanboy for G. Skill. My wallet is at least But TeamGroup's RAM is good stuff currently, for the more budget oriented. Basically Corsair is so popular for RAM that we're seeing issues creep up. Even if it's just 0.1% of users ,there are so many users that becomes a decent number to notice. How low of a % is it? No idea, but RAM shouldn't EVER be an issue so I recommend that which I have had no issue with for many years now
  10. Either, I use both interchangeably.
  11. ASUS Prime P201 or the Fractal Terra. Since you don't tell us what your parts are, I am going to assume they will fit fine
  12. Motherboard shouldn't cost the same as the CPU. Nor do you need a case that freaking large that doesn;t even come with fans Plus it's dual chamber.
  13. LTT won't though, as I am sure others above have mentioned. Fine print in the giveaway, etc. With LTT's stance on doing things right, doubt they'll even respond to this thread. Remember the waterblock auction issue? Yeah. At this point I would say you have to try to pay a 3rd party to fix it. Or pester AMD and hopefully get a Service manager to take pity on you. They may be able to open a special RMA for it. Pretty much everyone involved wants to wash their hands of any responsibility, and it seems that giveaway items don't even have manufacturer warranties. Sorry, man. best of luck, but I think you will have to handle this on your own.
  14. Get G. Skill RAM, lose the Corsair Vengeance line. Their DDR5 doesn't always play well with AMD.
  15. What is the defect? What does the card do or not do? We have precious little information to go on, or is this just a rant thread? It sounds like you're looking for someone to fix it, but coming here without info just sounds like you're shitting on AMD. Cuz LTT and anyone else isn't responsible for it at all. And the guy who posted to be positive and that LTT will handle it... off his rocker.
  16. Sounds good, come back then and we'll help any way we can.
  17. is she going to use it as a Cash Register machine? If so, in what capacity? Connecting to a Square dongle and process payments? Or she just does that for her job? For $70, it's a 13 year old machine that MAY work fine for simple tasks.
  18. No bad publicity. A miniscule amount of people have seen this compared to their buyer count. I see this and will buy AMD again all day every day. Was it made by AMD or an AIB? Is the OP's clip what AMD said or the giveaway people or LTT or who?
  19. The dial in part, I didn't understand. And I didn't equate a good stick to a joystick when he was asking about PC parts. Yeah, a joystick would be a good addition to the setup. Agreed.
  20. Not to beat a dead horse about the 7600 and included cooler, but this is a solid build and if you want to up it a little for the X model ... Do it. Really solid machine.
  21. Yeah, the 6800 is $369. Or the 6700xt for $319. There is no Nvidia worth buying at that price point.
