Dedayog got a reaction from BetteBalterZen in Why does my PC crash?
I'd probably start with:
1. Update BIOS, Windows, all drivers.
2. Reset BIOS to Defaults
3. Memtest, or just run with 1 stick at time to rule out faulty module.
Start there, one at a time.

Dedayog reacted to CosmicEmotion in Tekken 8 apparently has less input latency on Linux.
My thoughts are that it's pretty impressive. I know that on AMD Linux offers more FPS. I never checked about latency though, so I find it pretty interesting and wanted to share.

So that 24 pin doesn't fit into the motherboard?
Or they fit but don't work?

This.
I "think" Steam and other game libraries will log into the proper account based on the user Windows is logged in under. So you won't have to keep swapping Steam accounts.

Why bother with that much hassle? That's what separate user accounts are for.

You won't notice a difference at all, as they will both perform in Gen 3 mode far far far above anything you'll need from them.
Gen 4 boot vs Gen 3 boot - no difference
Gen 4 gaming vs Gen 3 gaming - no difference
No combination of Gen 4, Gen 3, Boot, Gaming will produce any real world noticeable difference.

Thank you so much for responding so quickly, saved me a lot of effort cause I originally planned on going for the 2nd option. Glad I asked, thank you!

So the performance doesn't change a lot by choosing between different brands and versions, only the cooling and aesthetics?

Dedayog got a reaction from OddOod in The cycle just goes ON and ON...
So you're having issues finding the PERFECT fan, is that right? Chasing waterfalls...
What's wrong with the ones you have? Can you point out what they are failing at or you don't like? Or is this all an OCD issue where you struggle to settle or make a decision?
I ask because all these fans are simply... just fans. They all work with minor variations. If you';re squabbling over the smallest of details... you're going to just get more "someone said" stuff here. Someone will like Corsair, someone won't, someone will recommend Lian Li, someone will say they suck cuz their dog had them in their super computer, etc etc etc.
Hopefully you can come to terms with the fact your current fans are just fine and enjoy them. Or ignore all the chaos and buy what YOU like.

Minecraft's memory issues aren't with your installed RAM, but the amount allocated in the Java settings.

Dedayog got a reaction from silencer12 in What Power Supply I need for a ASROCK B450 Pro4?
You get a PSU based on the CPU/GPU, not the motherboard.
Finalize the build, selecting PSU last based on all other parts.

Dedayog reacted to RONOTHAN## in More expensive b650 or cheaper x670/x670e?
Even a B650M-HDV/M.2 (one of the cheapest B650 boards) would satisfy those requirements. It's got a good enough VRM to power a 7950X, it has two USB 3 front panel connectors, and while it doesn't have built in WiFi, adding a WiFi card to it is ~$20-25 for an Intel AX210, a very solid WiFi adapter.

Dedayog got a reaction from WereCat in Steam Desk - official refurbished units, great pricing...
My gf has finally gotten into PC gaming due solely to the Steam Deck (as a concept). Being able to play together rather than find time to "get away" to get my game on is priceless. Steam has official refurbished units but they seem to be the original LCD versions, not the OLED.
We play Palia currently, but have played New World and Enshrouded recently too. Performs fantastic for a handheld and devs are actively optimizing for it which is nice.

Making that Z1 (non extreme) ROG Ally an even harder sell.
What's great is the across WAN game stream if you have a desktop. The battery life is absurd with the OLED version, so I imagine the LCD version would be also absurd.
IMO, Steam Deck is worth it for the game stream feature alone for anyone who already has a capable PC. Even if they're not using it often, the times where you'd want it, its well worth it.
I think even if a Steam Deck 2 comes out, the first gen and OLED refresh are just too good to pass up.

It all depends on your CPU and GPU that you want. A solid 650w will go a long way and 750w will give some overhead.
I run a Ryzen 7700x with overclocked RTX 4080 on a 750w and could easily run it on a 650w as well.
What CPU did you get?
