  1. The North XL is a sizeable kid. About like the R6. About to swap things over. I've apologized and even bought flowers. Hopefully fractal forgives me for stepping out . It's a damn good looking and imposing case in person. And damn , my Microcenter was way busy today . Good to see. Finally read GN review.... https://gamersnexus.net/cases/fractal-north-xl-case-review-benchmarks-wood-panels-mesh
  2. Lose the X670E board unless it has features you want, as any B650 board is more than enough for the 7800X3D (or any AM5 CPU). Use that money to grab a 7900GRE or 4070 Super. CPU Cooler, if you WANT AIO, go for it. Otherwise any dual fan air cooler can handle the X3D without issue like the Peerless Assassin. For AIO, look at Deepcool, EK, or Arctic.

    Ryzen X3D

Yeah, we extraolate a bit as well, educated guessing. It's not a perfect science, but ballpark close enough.
  4. They have been known to fail? Also, there is the 5700X3D and the 5600X3D if you're near a Microcenter as well, at reduced pricing.

    Ryzen X3D

Yes, but that's artificially forcing things. Can be done with almost any game. Doesn't matter, still applies. Regardless when a game came out, we look at how it acts on any hardware.

    Ryzen X3D

watch videos comparing various CPUs and GPUs in the game. Personally I would get the 7800X3D setup, as it's the best gaming CPU currently. So you'll have that concern off your shoulders. If you go #1, you'll have upgrades for both positions. What you asked tho was in a vacuum, so all else being equal your #1 should perform slightly better.
  7. Check again this summer, but the 5900X isn't a gaming CPU. The 5800X3D is, and isn't that hot either.

    Ryzen X3D

    1) Ryzen 5 7600 + RX 7900 GRE CS2 is more GPU focused than CS1

what games do you play? It matters.
  10. Sorry, I was thinking of another chip. The X3D will be fine, it doesn't need a lot of cooling. You'll be fine. Not sure why I was thinking you were getting a 13th gen intel, may have mixed up threads. Again, more than enough cooling for the 7800X3D. Look at some PBO/CO guides to reduce temps and power draw as well, if you want.
  11. That's what I mean, the factory boost will push the chip as far as temps allow.
  12. You should mount a different AIO on top. NZXT makes midrange crap for 2x the price. But if that's your theme, then yeah on top.
  13. 96GB is fine, should not have an issue going with 2x sticks. Cooling.. I'd go 360mm AIO (or at least 280mm), as 240 isn't that powerful of cooling. Good air coolers beat it, but the point really is to get as much cooling as you can for a warm/hot chip like that if you're going to push it with rendering all cores. And honestly, 175 for a 240mm is some overpriced bullshit.
  14. Sounds like a seating issue originally then. Glad it's working for you now!
  15. OP has top fans... I have a 120mm back exhaust and 2 120mm top exhaust, the rad serves as intake.
  16. "it's super easy to enable" He doesn't know how to enable it, that's the main ask here. Like others have said, it's in each game's graphics settings if they have implemented it.
  17. Right, that is what I answered. You won't benefit from push pull, as a normal rad won't impede the airflow much.
  18. Not really, while you'll move more air it won't be so much as to be really impactful. Push pull is only needed for the thickest rads. There isn't much impedence with a normal AIO.
  19. Not sure how you arrived at that, but if that is what you want, sure. 6700K needs replacing as well. At least to a Ryzen 5600 or Intel 12400 level.
  20. Feels have nothing to do with anything. Why would your boot drive get slower? Only if it's close to being full. Run actual tests.
  21. Accounting, some 25-30 years ago. 486/SX25 system w/ 4MB GPU + 8 MB Voodoo. Now, still in accounting but using my sig.
  22. Shift mobo and PSU to GPU, just curious how good that mobo and PSU are. If decent, then definitely.
  23. Yes, but don't call it quad channel It's still dual channel, just twice. True quad channel is server stuff. It'll work fine, DDR4 and the memory controllers are a decade old and are old friends.
  24. Only issue is he is in Romania, and the pricing is higher there. $1000 USD equivalent doesn't go near as far.
