Budget (including currency): Roughly $1200 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming, general usage, and some computer software (hence why I wanted the extra ram). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello everyone, After a little over three years, my ryzen 3 1300x and 1050ti are finally starting to have issues. I decided it was about time to upgrade to a new rig, and I have some questions for y'all about some parts. Here is the current PC part picker list. I am getting the CPU, RAM, SSD, and motherboard from a friend for 440 (a good deal in my opinion) and the rest I will just be buying from either Amazon, Newegg, or another seller like that. I already have peripherals, so no need there. Now a couple of questions. 1. I am thinking of trying to pick up a 3070, I know they are all oos but I think I can get one for retail from a friend. I will be playing mainly at 1440p. Would my 3600 bottleneck my GPU? 2. Is it worth it to resell the 3600 and then put that money (plus a little more) into finding and buying a Ryzen 5 5600x. I assume not, but if the answer to the first question is yes that might change my decision. 3. If I can't find a 3070 easily, should I just wait until I can find one or should I maybe go with a 2080ti or something like that? Just throwing out ideas here. 4. Anyone know the best places to get black friday deals, trying to get a PSU and case then too. Thanks so much!

I could use some advice on my egg drop assignment. Smart people of the LTT forum, this is your calling. Any ideas help, just looking for some inspiration. This is the restrictions: Yarn (½ cup) Straws (5) Fabric (9” x 9”) Paper (9” x 9”) Popsicle sticks (5) Masking tape (1 m) Cups (5) The egg contraption will be dropped from 2 meters (6ish feet). I get 20% extra credit if it doesn’t crack....so...welll...my science grade needs it. The egg also needs to be very easily removable and transferable. Thanks a lot!

Soure The game will also be available on PS4 and Xbox. This seems to be just Epic trying to gain a better foothold to compete with Steam. Many games are also moving platforms due to the reduced cuts that Epic takes. I think that I’m not going to buy the game anyway, mostly because I don’t have $60. I do see how this could upset some people thought. What are your thoughts? Is it a good idea to have exclusive 6 month contacts like this?

Repost the link. It’s not working.

Seems like more or less a slight upgrade from last model. Nothing worth getting or upgrading to.

Many cell phones don’t support those kind of accessories. I suggest looking on the manufacturers website to see if you can get some help there. The credit card machine is kinda sketchy too...

Try looking to see if they are available on a 3rd party site (such as eBay).

Other than being pointless, some brackets might be hard to find. I don’t know about the case supporting modern radiators.- 29 replies

YouTube recommendations are getting EXTREMELY aggressive
I-r0k replied to Fasauceome's topic in General Discussion
This is pure insanity. We are treating youtube like a pet dog—training it to understand what we like and trying to influence what turns up on our suggested. Why should we be doing all this work just to be unsatisfied in what we are being recommend. Youtube giving us more trashy and dull content just to shove an ad every few minutes and make more money. Sorry for the rant, but I feel like this is stupid. -

Researcher demos new macOS Keychain exploit, holds data from Apple

Dang, The FaceTime bug and now this. A rough week for Apple. On a serious note, that’s kinda crazy how easy it is to exploit keychain. Image what the implications of this are if Apple doesn’t fix this quickly. -
Fujitsu Scaleo C, the best looking case on the market. Although good luck finding one. /s

Does anyone know what this is? Could it be a listening device or camera. Maybe a fire alarm or smoke detector? Thanks.
