Hi all, I have a question about the Gigabyte Z390 M GAMING LGA 1151 mATX Motherboard It comes with a 8 + 4 CPU power header. My current PSU only has a 8pin is the extra 4 pin needed for the MOBO to work? The manual doesn't mention if it is or isn't needed. Thank you

So today I received some cable mods for my PSU and some case fans. I installed them and tried to boot my PC. Then just as it got into windows it blue screened and restarted. So I took out every thing I had just installed and tried to boot again now nothing happens at all. The only thing it is doing is the orange light on my motherboard is constantly flashing. I cannot find a manual that explains what the LED means. At first I suspected it was my PSU since the one I did have was quite old and cheap. I replaced the PSU to no avail. Any help of suggestions would be appreciated I have a feeling that my motherboard is toast. I have attached a short video of the light.
