  1. I don't really think SSD "temps" are an issue for anyone. And here's some food for thought.. Scrap the alienware for a ridiculous price and buy a real PC
  2. My plan is to use one NVME slot for the OS and the interface card for recording, maybe I'll install games on there as well. My current (albeit old) setup has issues with keeping up with recording and rendering. So instead of using a "normal" m.s or SATA SSD I wanted to grab something I know would be able to keep up. I'm hoping to have 4 M.2 Cards on the interface card. It'll probably only be 1TB given how expensive NVME is. Unfortunately I've already got the radiator and it has been installed; I think it will still be more than enough to keep it cool though... I'm not sure about overclocking, I'm not really "hardcore" like that. I may clock it to a solid 4.5Ghz but that's probably it.
  3. o/ everyone I have been in the process of planning a new build for the past month or so So far these are the items I have picked Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 250GB (< OS WIN10 ) EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW HYBRID EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 Eventually I wish to upgrade that further with 1-2TB of NVME in Raid0 with the help of... ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 x Interface Card Intel SSD 600p Series (256GB) I already have a case and CPU cooler sitting here with me, just waiting on the rest of the components. NZXT S340 Elite Matte Black CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Does anyone foresee any issues or complications that I don't? I know the ASUS Hyper M.2 card is kind of experimental tech and there isn't a whole lot of information about it yet. I've heard about some problems that people have had trying to use them, i.e they only work with ASUS mobo and Intel SSD's.
