  1. If the Joules rating is that important you should get a higher rated UPS. That said, plugging a power bar into a UPS isn't recommended, and since UPS's also handle power spikes the power bar wouldn't do much except let you plug in more stuff. So it's higher Joules rating really doesn't matter.
  2. You usually take that risk when buying cheap electronics. Personally I wouldn't do it cause I'm paranoid but as long as they're wired correctly it should be fine.
  3. I wouldn't call it Frankenstein but I upgraded my old ass laptop from 1GB of RAM to 1.5 for like 5 bucks. Ultimately pretty pointless but what's done is done.
  4. I want a new SSD to throw in the system my 2 brothers are using, I'm sure they'd appreciate the awesome speed boost that everyone should buy an SSD for.
  5. The Kiro, needs me a more ergonomic mouse and I like the cleaner design.
  6. Must see the hype and even though I'm not a huge Star Wars fan I still enjoy the games.
  7. You probably won't get the max out of the 850 (Pro or EVO) but it'll definitely be a step up from a mechanical drive and your boot times and overall system responsiveness should improve. I seem to remember something about not all SATA II supporting TRIM (I know Windows itself should at least as far as 7 but I believe the SATA controller/chipset/whatever needs to as well.)
  8. I'd probably just try and buy a replacement second hand or through Asus support if they wanna help out. Not sure how well any adhesive or glue would work given the heat that thing will have to endure, but I could be wrong and glue or something might actually work.
  9. As a 970 owner, unless power consumption or and Nvidia feature like G-Sync or Shadow Play or what have you is super important to you a 390 would be my choice if i was buying right now. It performs better and has the full performance of all 4GB of it's VRAM. If you really want the 970 (still a kick ass card) you may as well get it now, it's definitely been out for a while but don't expect bigger price drops for a while since the next series isn't out yet and there's probably not gonna be anything from Nvidia coming out in that section of their price bracket anytime soon.
  10. You could probably save a few bucks going with an Athlon instead of an A-8 since you're getting a dedicated GPU, though it wouldn't be much difference in price and you'd have a fallback if your GPU dies or doesn't ship at the same time. Other than that it looks like a solid build, SSD should definitely be your next priority.
  11. As someone who within the last week went from Dual Monitors to an Ultrawide with a portrait monitor I gotta say for multitasking the Ultrawide on it's own is amazing and so is the media and gaming experience. I'd say the Ultrawide is comparable to having two monitors as it is but that might not be the case for you. My friend runs 3 regular monitors and dedicates each one to a whole window, I love snapping and use it even more now so the Ultrawide just makes more sense for me.
  12. This is really the only thing to go off of right now. Rocksteady just said that they're working on it, nothing "official" but that link it probably correct to be honest.
  13. My current mouse cost like 10 bucks, an upgrade is in need.
