  1. Hello guys! im looking into getting into photography, i have only ever did photography on my iphone 14PM but recently, i wanted to have take better photos. i will mainly use it for travel, street, food, lifestyle. No professional work, just doing this for hobby. So a small compact camera will be a plus for me My first choice is the X100v (and possibly the rumored successor coming out this year) but due to the limited availability and inflated prices i thought why not just go for a full frame if im spending that much on a used x100v? i think i might also be limited with the fixed lens on the x100v My second choice is to get the Sony a7cii due to its compact size. With this, is it worth it to go for the sony over the fuji? --- if im to get the Sony, i have 2 options for the lens; Sony 35mm f1.4 GM and the Sony 40mm f/2.5 G Lens. --- i like the 35mm as it's a nicer lens and based on reviews it's super nice and 35mm is better for street and travel but it's bigger than the 40mm lens (a7cii and 40mm lens is more like the x100v formfactor) Thanks for the responses!!
  2. Hello im looking to buy a new gpu and in my country the cheapest 4080 is a Colorful Battle Ax and goes for around 1230 USD converted from my local currency, the next best option is the ASUS TuF 4080 which is priced at 1670 USD in my country. Question is, should i just pull the trigger on the colorful one even though it's not as well known as ASUS but it's 400$ cheaper
  3. Hello guys! ive been using the Sennheiser Drop PC38x and plugged it directly on the mother board with the line out and the mic in. It's been working on my pc (windows 10) but when i updated to windows 11, i suddenly have no output but when im using the microphone my friends still hear what i say... Ex. Im on discord my friends can hear what i say but theres no audio output on my headphones
  4. i currently have 3080 only and when im mining i undervolt and lower power limit and my 3080 uses only 240W of power, so is it safe to assume that with a 3060ti it's safe?
  5. good day! i recently bought a 3080 and have been mining with it at night or when im out, now im considering purchasing another 3060ti to add to it but am not willing to buy another psu, the PSU i have rn is an 850W 80+ gold from seasonic, question is will i be fine with it? thank you! and also if anybody would know how to configure the second gpu (undervolting and memory overclock) when put in a single system? like would afterburner be able to detect both and tune each gpu separately
  6. wdym get something cheaper? like another motherboard? lol im thinking of that one too i found one on amazon it's called "UPHERE" brand idk if it's good or will it even fit in my case
  7. Cool! thank you for this! ill be sticking with this charging brick untill im able to get a bracket. BTW what gpu bracket can u recommend to buy, a vertical one or an L one and can you name a brand or link an item if you have a suggestion? thank you!
  8. yeah lol the ram slot furthest to the cpu is fried so i moved my ram a slot cause when i insert the ram there it doesnt post
  9. unfortunately i dont have any legos around and im planning to buy a bracket soon, is this fine as a placeholder gpu bracket? will the charging brick cause any issue or will it be fine?
  10. Hey guys i recently bought a tuf 3080 and noticed that it's sagging, i know it's bad (although i dont know exactly why) but i dont have a gpu bracket rn so i thought of folding a paper combined with a charging brick to put at the end of the gpu to prevent sagging. is a charging brick as an anti sag bad and should I look for other stuff to use? or i can use this for the meantime. here's a pic of it
  11. is DDu after installing the BIOS update required?
  12. im wondering u have to download this separate from the nvidia driver? i just got my 3080 tuf installed this morning and downloaded nvidia drivers but none from the asus website so i was wondering how would you install this
  13. DLSS now has been very good and particularly required in cyberpunk to reach that 60fps in ultra for 4k. my question is, is DLSS a hardware feature or a software? for example, if ever DLSS 3.0 gets released, will all Turing and Ampere GPU get it or will it only available for the newer ones in the future thanks!
  14. just curious: if you were to buy one of those at their given price which would you go for? 1100 for ventus and 1200 for the Asus tuf
  15. does lower temps help prolong the life of the GPU? im targetting this card to last me for at least 3-4 years and probably more
  16. hey guys as the titles says which one would you buy as im looking to buy one of them and the 3080 Tuf costs 1200USD in my country and the Ventus 3080 is around 1100USD. is the cooling of Asus Tuf worth to spend 100$ more than the Masi ventus? numerous reviews are having tuf at 60-62 deg under load and the Ventus at around 69 to low 70s underload so idk which to pick (save money and get the hotter card or spend more to get the cooler card) before u guys say dont buy from scalpers, i would like to say that these are the prices of the retailers here in my country... i know it sucks and it's sad but we have no other choice.. (i just need a gpu this christmas to play and i decided on a 3080)(cant wait for the prices to go down any further)
  17. is that a good card? heard mixed reviews about it. it's currently out of stock but sells for 1200USD as well lol
  18. my ongoing dilemma with that is i only have the holidays as my vacation and dont really have time to play other than that so it might be a counterproductive if i wait for it to go down as i wont have time to play.. either way im wasting money Lol, i jsut wanna be able to play cyberpunk lol
  19. Sad thing is, theyre not scalpers (or idk do they count as scalpers?) but they are legitimate retailers here in my country (philippines) and all of them sell them at these prices
  20. Hey guys so i decided to just buy an overpriced 3080 because all of our local retailers here are selling them overpriced lol. im having a hard time deciding which card to get though so i would like to get some advice from you.. here are the available GPUs: Zotac Trinity OC =1040 USD Zotac Amp Holo = 1200 USD EVGA XC3 Ultra = 1220 USD Asus Strix (backordered) = 1400 USD Asus Tuf (backordered) = 1200 USD Gigabyte Vision OC = 1150 USD Im so tempted to just get the cheapest ( the zotac trinity) but im worried about the temps of it due to it being cheap and lots of reviews are saying they have bad vrm temps. then if i would buy the more expensive ones it seems like it's not worth it at all, i just need a gpu now cause i wanna play cyberpunk and my monitor is a 4k/144hz one so a 3070 is out of the question
  21. Heya! i would like to ask for your thoughts on whether i should get a cheap 3080 or a high end 3070 I have a Lg 27GN950 coming so i would be playing mainly on 4k. However, the issue here is the price in my country, the local retailers here sell "cheap" 3080 here is selling for 1040 USD (i know that's insane); in this case it's a ZOTAC TRINITY... and AIB 3080s like the TUF OC and STRIX sells for 1200 - 1400USD; (3090s sell for around 2000+USD in my country) for the 3070 the prices here play around 750 - 850 USD (Strix). this will be a long term car for me as i wont be upgrading every new releases and im thinking if i go with a cheap 3080 it will run hot and as far as i know hotter card = shorter life span (not sure about this but it's reasonable to think like that). but then idk if a 3070 would suffice for 4k gaming especially for cyberpunk. thanks for your responses!
  22. i have a seasonic PSU and the cable that comes with it is like this (picture attached) which has 2x 6+2 connector. so i would need to use 2 of these cable? (the other one utilizing only 1x 6+2 ?)
  23. Hey guys, there are a number of leaked photos that the 3080/3090 will have a triple 8-pin connector. i was just wondering if this became true how would one connect it to the PSU? The cable i use is a 2 8-pin connector connected to each other so will i need to use another cable to fill in the remaining 8-pin? or should I use 3x 2-8 pin connector and just use the single 8 pin on each cable (which on the other end will have 3 separate cables connecting to the PSU) sorry for the confusing question, im a bit confused as well but would like to plan ahead if ever this leak is true thanks!
  24. Thank you for this mustve slipped past through this section while scrolling
