  1. So I ordered a 3080 strix. Hasn’t came yet. In the mean time I needed to upgrade my PSU. Although I can’t get my 8 pin out of my motherboard. It’s an MSI X570-A pro. Attached an image of it. The VRM cooler doesn’t give me any clearance. Terrible design to be honest. Could anyone tell me what to do? Been trying a lot of things but I’m afraid of breaking my motherboard. Thanks
  2. Where did you see the USB-C connector for the moto? I have an MSI X570-A PRO
  3. Here are some better photos, won’t focus any more than this and yeh I checked the manual and it’s a little unclear
  4. Hey everyone, building in the NZXT H510i elite and there are 2 cables that I have no idea where to plug in. Photos are attached. One of them is for the LED strip but where is there a spot to plug it in to? Also on the back I have absolutely no idea what that cable is for. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hey everyone, A couple of days ago I made a post about choosing a case for my new ATX build but after that I realized that the cases I was looking at didn't have some of the features I wanted. The features I want in this case are: -RGB -Good airflow -Dust filtration -Reset switch Features that I want but aren't needed: -USB Type C on the front panel -HDMI out on the front panel -Vertical GPU mount (this would really be awesome) My budget is around 175 CAD. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  6. I think the 1660 Super can, in my current build I have an RX 480 which gets pretty close, it could probs get even closer but it is bottlenecked by my CPU. Either way the 1660 super is faster
  7. CPU is a Ryzen 7 2700. Workload is gaming, video editing as well as encoding footage. Will be driving a 1080p 165hz monitor.
  8. Hey everyone, So currently picking out parts for my new build. I’m really not sure what graphics card to get though. I’ve been debating between GTX 1660 Super’s, GTX 1660 Ti’s and an RTX 2060. They all seem like great cards and to be honest I don’t need a 2060 for my workloads. But all of the 1660 Super’s and 1660 Ti’s are like 50-80 cheaper than a 2060 and it seems like it would be worth the extra money for the 2060 because if it’s much better performance and larger feature set. Another issue is for another $50 on top of the 2060 I can get 2060 Super. Someone mind helping me out here? Thanks
  9. Ok ty, but just out of curiosity why are the other two meh?
  10. Hey everyone, So I’m currently in the process of choosing new parts for my new ATX build but I really don’t know which case to get given all of the options in today’s market. Ideally the case I want should have RGB, dust filtration and delivers decent airflow while still not being too loud although I definitely don’t mind some noise. I do have some idea of what case to get but I’m not sure if they’re good or if they even have dust filtration. Here are the cases I’m looking at currently: Phanteks 400a RGB Fractal Meshify S2 NZXT H510i Elite DEEPCOOL MATREXX 55 ADD-RGB Currently my budget is around 175 CAD. If these aren’t good feel free to give your own recommendations. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  11. Yeh I've tried turning down settings and didn't do much. Also what GPU, I'm thinking maybe a 1660ti or a RTX 2060
  12. So I just finally got around to buying a 165hz 1080p monitor but I noticed that I can't reach 165 fps on some of the games I play so I want to know what to upgrade in my PC next. My specs are: i5-6402p Rx 480 4gb 16gb DDR4 RAM 750gb SSD+2tb HDD I'm thinking of doing my CPU, but not sure if the GPU would be better. Currently the main game I play that I'm not reaching 165 fps on is Rainbow Six Siege. Reaching about 90 ish FPS
  13. Wow! That looks great. Do you know if there is another spot for an HDD? Or even another SSD
  14. My location is Canada. Don't really care about budget right now, just send anything you see that is somewhat like what I have described.
  15. I would definitely upgrade it. The CPU and GPU are very old and slow by today's standards. I think that 4gb of RAM will definitely not be enough for the workloads you described and not having an SSD just adds insult to injury. I wouldn't bother upgrading this, buy a new laptop. There are a lot of good cheap laptops with decent performances
  16. Hi everyone, About a year and a bit ago a bought an Asus Vivobook S15 S510UN ultrabook. Really love this laptop, has good performance, is very quiet, good battery life, very light and a nice screen. But recently I've found myself wanting some features that the laptop doesn't have like a thunderbolt 3 port. Also, although the bezels are slimmer than older laptops, but they are still pretty large. So now I've been looking for a new laptop but have had no luck so I was hoping that someone here could help me out. Here is list of things I would like: -14" screen (I find the 15.6" too big and makes the laptop a pain to carry around) -A Mx 150 or 250 25W GPU -A quad core U series CPU. -Slimmer bezels -Thin and light form factor -Good batter life -16gb of RAM -At least 256 GB SSD and 1 tb HDD. (512gb SSD preferred) Not required but nice to have: -Expandability -2 Display outputs (if there is 1 HDMI and 1 thunderbolt that is also fine) -Thunderbolt 3 port -NVME boot drive -New 10th gen i7 U series CPU that has 6 cores -A good webcam If you guys could point me to a laptop that has something like this it would be much appreciated.
  17. Hi, I've been having a big problem with my pc lately. I tried adding more RAM to my pc. I had 2x4 DDR4 2133 of Viper RAM so I wanted to add another 2x4 2133 RAM, I took Corsair 2400 RAM because I couldn't fine the Viper Ram I already had. Originally it posted and all the RAM was detected by windows and was all running at 2133. However there were random crashes so I decided to open up my PC to check the model of the new RAM I bought to make sure it was compatible. After that I put my RAM back in and my PC stopped working. Depending on the configurations of RAM I put in (even the original one), the debug LED's on my motherboard would either say RAM not detected, say the CPU isn't detected and go back to the RAM after, etc. It was in a loop or it would say RAM not detected for about 5 seconds then would say GPU not detected after. Thing is in order for me to open my DIMM slots I had to remove my GPU since it was in the way, put the RAM in then put the GPU in after. I don't know whats wrong Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it. My motherboard is a B150M Bazooka from MSI. Thanks
  18. No I have no idea. All the website said was that it had a MX150 with 2GB GDDR5.
