  2. Guys, thanks a lot for reading this I AM DESPERATE! I have this laptop: Amazon Link I recently bought an headset that comes with 1x 3.5mm jack and a splitter. I plugged it in my 3.5mm slot on the pc and i noticed in Discord that my friend's sound was playing back to them. I tried using the splitter hooked up to a sound card (this one) and still the same thing. I have attached what I currently have set up. I have tried: Multiple realtek drivers Clean installing Windows Unninstalling Realtek Drivers Updating Windows Nothing works. The thing is: I have USB-C earphones connected to a OTG USB-C adapter and ther mic works PERFECTLY and no sound is played trough it. Can you help me please?
  3. Well my laptop just broke and I don't have actually nothing to work or game on, the repair cost is like 150€ for a screen replacement and cpu reball (if it works...) so I kinda need it now.
  4. Budget (including currency): 650€-750€ Country: Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: esports titles + COD Warzone, Rust, GTA V Other details: I am looking forward to a PC that is gonna last me a long time, that has great performance and that over the years won't fall off due to lack of cores or something like that. I've made this build, can you guys evaluate and tell me if I can make any changes? Or point out improvements/incompatibilities? 1 x Gigabyte GeForce® GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G - 243,90 € 1 x AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core (3.6GHz-4.2GHz) 36MB AM4 - 182,90 € 1 x Motherboard MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX - 79,90 € 1 x Team Group Kit 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz Vulcan Z Grey CL16 - 72,90 € 1 x Power Supply Seasonic S12III 650W 80+ Bronze - 64,90 € 1 x SSD Kingston A2000 500GB M.2 NVMe 2280 - 79,90 € 1 x Micro-ATX Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L - 39,90 € Total: 764.30 € These parts are in a nice store here in portugal (https://www.globaldata.pt/) and I can mount it and install windows. One small question I have is: can I pair the motherboard and the CPU without making any bios tweaks or depending on 2nd generation ryzen?
  5. Hi guys, I run this laptop for my daily work in college and some LIGHT gaming (LoL and CSGO and that sort of stuff) but I feel like I can improve the noise of the fan by swapping the thermal paste. Currently I have CoolerMaster's MasterGel Maker applied to both the GPU and CPU but I have heard so much about Arctic's MX-4 that it got me questioning what thermal paste would be better suitable for my laptop. Before you judge: I changed cooler master because the thermal conductivity was higher and I thought it was the best for this laptop. Thank you guys!
  6. Hi guys, I`m a bit noob at this but can I run a laptop with 12gb of ram using 1 Ddr4 stick of 8gb and 1 Ddr4 stick kd 4 gb? Thank you
  7. Hi, So since 4 days ago my monitor has this weird black zone with what appears to me as dead pixels, but I don't know why this happened since my monitor just stays still the entire day and I don't even touch it! Can anyone tell me if it is repairable or what is happening? Thank you!

  9. Can I do anything here without loosing any of my data?
  10. Can you help me do it? I didn't exactly understand you. Do I need to change the partition from Primary to Logical?
  11. Hi, I'm kind of lost on this subject but I had an Seagate External HDD of 1TB and I opened it's casing and connected it in my pc's case via SATA. Everything is there obviously but I can't actually move things to this drive because windows only lets me copy something to it when I drag something for a shortcut of my main folder that I created since my bootdrive is a Kingston SSD with 240GB. Is there any way to make windows assume that I want to actually move (like copy paste) things to the drive and not copy. For my understanding my Windows is treating my 1TB HDD as a external drive and not Internal (don't know if this makes sense). Thank u guys a lot <3
  12. I'm sorry I didn't understand your question Thank you i will keep it +100 +150 then
  13. I have like 50€ max to get one, but I wanted something a little more quiet because the stock cooler fan runs like crazy loud under a decent load
  14. Hi guys, I'm kind of new to this, but I have a MSI Bazooka B250M for my motherboard, a i3 7100 for my cpu, a MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Low Profile and a 500watt power supply with 80 plus efficiency and I would like to know if there is a way to overclock my graphics card a bit so I can run a bit better PUBG. I have +150mhz for my core clock speed and memory speed currently I've tested fortnite and everything is ok and funny fact, my graphics card doesnt run the usual 70ºC that she runned before (dont know if this is normal). I'll leave some pics for you guys to help me if you can of course! Thank you all
  15. Hi all, I'm thinking about buying an i5 7500 (https://goo.gl/AQ54Pw) to upgrade my PC, the only problem is I think that the stock cooler won't be a good option for me, but I have few room to play with since I only have a Masterbox Lite 3 (https://goo.gl/Y5vvwi). What cooler do you think I should get for this CPU? Notice that I run a Bazooka B250M from MSI! Thank you!
  16. Thank you guys for the help! I decided to go for the i5 7500 (https://goo.gl/AQ54Pw) and keep my 8GB of RAM for now, and maybe wait until the price of the RAM sticks goes down or buy like DDR4 2400 used with sticks of 4GB (since I still have 3 free slots for RAMs). I've learned so much with this forum and Linus Tech Tips! Thank you all!
  17. Hi guys, It's my first post here but I love LTT so I decided to ask this here. I currently have a Bazooka B250M from MSI (https://goo.gl/Z3HAvX) and I have an Intel Core i3 7100 (https://goo.gl/B8RtEZ) and I noticed that Intel launched an i3 8100 (https://goo.gl/nPKMGA) wich adds 2 more cores, keeps the 4 threads but sacrifice 0.3 GHz of speed, but I was thinking that the 2 more cores could come in handy when playing some games. I currently run an 1050 Ti 4GB gddr5 and I wanted to know if it is worth upgrading to the 8th gen core, since I will be adding 8 more gigs of ram to my current 8 gigs and if I buy the i3 8100 I could buy the ram and the cpu for the price of a decent i5 with the same 4 cores (in my country I can buy both parts for around 170€-200€) Do you guys know if this cpu is even compatible with my motherboard or I need to buy a 7th gen i5 to make it worth? I've asked MSI about it and i'm still waiting for an answer... Thank you!
