  1. sounds like it may be sending the audio out the HDMI / DP cable. can you get a screen shot of the audio devices list? I wonder if the onboard sound card drivers need to be reinstalled.
  2. You also mentioned a Bluetooth headset. try disabling Bluetooth on the computer and see if that makes any difference. I have run into the irritating issue with windows where it refuses to send audio to multiple outputs at a time. The computer may think the headset is still connected. You can also check the Audio settings in windows and see what output it is defaulting to.
  3. it is 1809 remoting to a Win7 machine. We still have 1903 in the verification process.
  4. try using the headphone out jack. the computer may not be sending a signal out the line out port.
  5. how are they connected to the computer? Bluetooth? USB?
  6. I am asking this question as an IT professional to other IT professional's. I use c$ to copy files from one computer to another regularly. This is usually when I am setting up a user on a new computer. After making a move to Windows 10 I have noticed a bug that I encounter from time to time. When I connect to the remote computer using windows 10 and c$ (yes with an admin profile) the files in the default user directory's Desktop, Documents, Pictures etc. will not show up. Enabling show hidden files and disabling hide protected OS files makes no change. It is easy enough to work around buy using a external drive to move the files but its a pain. I try to use up as little of my users time as possible. Have any of you other IT professionals encountered this? do you know of a fix for it?
  7. Getting devices ready, Huston we have lift off. Something else I noticed is that using a USB 3 drive is much faster than the other one. I appreciate all of yall's help.
  8. when they say it is runing slow one of the firs things I ask is "how long have you owned the PC" If its 4 or more years old it is probably time.
  9. Especially with SSD getting cheaper. Dead or dyeing HDD are half of our business and replacing them with a 120 or 240 means they can get another 3 to 5 years out of their computer.
  10. By the way shout out to the awesomeness of the LTT forum. I posted this on TechNet and have gotten 0 responses. Les than five minutes of posting it here someone was trying to help.
  11. Im trying a different HDD now to see if its is the Drive or something went wrong on the Inst media and it needs to be remade.
  12. Im stating to think the problem is with the HDD. I have tried installing Windows onto it wit a different computer and I get the same error.
