  1. I tried troubleshooting an issue with my PC yesterday. Initially, I thought running games on my other hard drives was causing the system shutdown. So, I disconnected all other hard drives and played warzone and PUBG. Pc still had sudden crashes. Then I ran a Windows 10 reset and installed multiple games on my nvme. However, I faced an instant shutdowns again in Warzone and Pubg menus. To further diagnose the problem, I installed a 9th gen Pentium. I found that Warzone didn't open with the new CPU. Then, I tried playing Paragon - a game that previously caused sudden shutdowns on my 9900kf CPU. Surprisingly, the game opened up and I could play it for an hour without any shutdowns. Based on my observations, I am wondering if the issue is entirely CPU-related. By the way, Happy New Year to everyone!
  2. I haven't tried that one. I think I last installed a fresh OS four years ago. Would it make sense to try what you said, but instead of formatting my main OS NVME, install W10 on an SSD and try games there? I have so much data on my main NVME, so would this test be ok?
  3. I have been experiencing a strange issue with my PC. It can run Superposition, Heaven Benchmarks, Furmark, and other benchmarks. I don't remember the names for 20 to 40 minutes without any problems. However, as soon as I try to play PUBG, my PC turns off. Initially, PUBG played fine until 10 minutes into the middle of a match, when it crashed. Then, I tried testing the game on the menu and removed the FPS limiter in-game. It caused an instant shutdown as soon as I enabled this. In Warzone 3, when I changed the resolution to match my monitor's native QHD, my PC unexpectedly shut down. It used to allow me to adjust the resolution without any issues. The game typically crashes after 20 to 40 minutes of gameplay, regardless of whether it's on low or max settings. This also happens with other games in sessions. It happens in SQUAD and CS2 but after 30 mins+- sessions. I have sought help from two different IT centers, and both technicians have tested my system with different GPUs, CPUs, PSUs(Tested an 850W gold and 1000W gold), and RAM, but they all experienced crashes. One technician suggested the issue was with the Corsair H150i, while the other thought it could be the H150i or the NVME. Unfortunately, neither technician had spare air or liquid coolers to conduct tests and confirm if the AIO was causing the problem. Before investing in a new AIO, I want to confirm whether the AIO is indeed the root cause of the issue. All the drivers are current, including the GPU (I used DDU to clean up any display drivers), and the motherboard's BIOS has been updated to its latest version. Here are my PC specs: - CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz - Installed RAM: 32.0 GB 3200 MHZ (4x8) - MB: Gigabyte Aorus Master z290 - NVME: Samsung Evo 970 - GPU: EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA - PSU: Seasonic FOCUS Plus 850 Gold - AIO: CORSAIR HYDRO Series H150i PRO RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 360mm, - Case: Lian Li PC-O11DW 011 Dynamic - Fans: 6 Intake (bottom and side), three exhaust (AiO) - OS: Windows 10 Pro, version 22h2, OS Build 19045.3803 Please let me know if you need additional information or specific details about my system setup. I'm desperate to find out what is causing these sudden shutdowns.
  4. The technician installed w10 on the m.2 and it worked fine, could that be enough to show its the mb?
  5. Hi everyone I bought a new rig from amazon and it arrived 3 days ago. I built it and booted it up to the bios and it recognized everything, but when i tried installing Windows 10 via usb i got the Aourus logo then a blue screen. The error I got here was MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION. After that I took it to a technician he did all sorts of troubleshooting, ram were working fine. We tried booting it up with an i3 8th gen and it booted up correctly. After that i had the idea of updating the bios to see if it would work and it did. We updated it to the 10b version. (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z390-AORUS-MASTER-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios) I went back home installed steam, antivirus and normal programs. A couple of hours later, the blue screens came back but this time 5 different ones. I tried both ram stick separately it kept giving a blue screen. Here's a list of the errors I on this point: Critical process died KMODE exception not handled KMODE exception not handled with an error below it saying "ntfs.sys" Page fault in non paged area Bugcode NDIS driver I spoke with some friends who own pc businesses and they say its the MB but the technician that helped me says its the CPU. I have until the 11 of September to return whats faulty, I'm living in Colombia, south america. So I would need to send whats bad asap. Thank you all you for taking the time to read this. Here are the specs of the new build i7 9700k z390 Aorus Master G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) Samsung 970 EVO 500gb Seasonic FOCUS plus 850 gold CORSAIR HYDRO Series H150i PRO RGB WD Black 2TB Performance edit1: I forgot to mention that when I took it home and it worked. I stressed test the pc with aida64 for 30 minutes and nothing happend. It didnt crash cpu temps where at 63c avg with 4.6 avg clock speed.
  6. I've been tinkering with that thing and still nothing. It won't fit completely... A month ago I tested everything psu, ram, cpu and mobo. All worked except the mb. I get a mb replacement and somehow that freaking atx cable is not clicking on the mb. I'm afraid of forcing the cable until it fits tho
  7. Sorry but how do u boot up by shorting the power pins? And I meant the atx cable, not the 24 pin I got confused with the name. So as I posted above. The atx cable is not getting completely connected, I have to push it hard but still nothing.
  8. Btw I checked the 24 pin connector and it's not fully connecting on the mb. But both the mb and cable look good.
  9. Hi everyone I just got back my new asrock z97 extreme 6 motherboard from asrock rma service, since the old one stopped working. CPU and ram are installed but I'm getting the error on the video. It looks like the mb says error 66 or an incomplete 66.
