  1. Hi I couldn't find any good reviews, do you anything about Dell Vostro 5401? Mainly I'd like to know information about screen flickering. Other than that I am looking for a laptop with at least 4 cores 8 threads 16GB ram, at least 480 GB storage, flicker free screen and ethernet port and Bluetooth 5. All for around 900 eur. So far the only laptop that I can get with this specs is Acer Aspire 5 A55-55 for 720 eur. Dell Vostro 5401 is also looking good, on paper, but I couldn't find any reviews or information about screen flickering. I don't need dedicated graphics card, in fact I'd like to avoid it. Do you have any recommendations?
  2. So after my previous post, I changed some of my requirements and will go for x570 motherboard. My current build: CPU: core i5 3350p GPU: Radeon rx580 RAM: some cheap ddr3 ram PSU: silentiumPC deus g1 HDD : Toshiba p300 1 TB SSD: 2 x Goodram Iridium Pro 240 GB dvd player case: SilentiumPC Brutus M23 Pure Black OS: Solus 4 I will keep, the case, graphics card, dvd player and drives I want to buy: PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 550W 80 plus gold RAM: 16 gb (2 x 8 gb) Patriot 3600 MHz Viper 4 Blackout CL17 CPU:AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Motherboard X570 Aorus Elite What do you think about that build and what cooler for cpu would you recommend? I know GPU is not great, but i need more powerful ccpu for virtualisation now, and probably will switch gpu next year.
  3. Ok, sorry for late reply. I wasn't available. I can go x570, but I am worried that the fan on the motherboard will be problematic. I kept my current platform for 7-8 years now and want to to the same with my new setup. These fans on the motherboards look cheap and I'm worried about their longevity and how loud will they become after few years of work. But, ;et's say i go x570. Which ones are work buying?
  4. What do you thing about asrock x470 master Sli? I mean, if it makes sense I can pay 200 + euro for motherboard, I’d rather spend less, but I don’t have fixed budget. As I said, in future I want to be able to put more powerful 12 or 16 core CPU to to this motherboard. Gaming, VMs, programming.
  5. Would be fine but low availability in my region makes it 200 + euro. Is it worth it with the price tag?
  6. I’m sending a lot of files to my NAS. On Windows Realtek is fine, but on Linux I usually had some problems with them.
  7. I want to upgrade my current system from (core i5 3350p). 3700X or 3800X (not sure which one makes more sense. 16 gb of RAM. Good, quiet cooler. However I have a problem with motherboard. I’m looking for something with Intel Ethernet port, nvmie ssd support and 2 usb 3.1 gen 2 (this really fast port). I would go for x570 but I don’t want any fans on my motherboard. Can you recommend me something that makes sense for this cpu and requirements? As as for overclocking I’m not really sure if I want to waste time on that. I’d probably stick with 3600 MHz RAM. Edit: keep in might that in future I’d like to upgrade to something 12 core (or 16 if possible)
  8. Well I have to read their privacy policies then, but I believe Samsung is also collecting data. I will see which one is worse. If they are comparable I think TV without ads would be better. Well, this industry is really bad. Why would TV need to collect so much data
  9. I haven't heard of LG displaying ADs in menus. Is it new industry standard? That would be a shame because the TV @star_pilot475 proposed looked promising. It is available as 86UK6500PLA in my country, but I believe it's the same model.
  10. Hi, my parents want to buy new TV and they want to buy something 80"+ They want to buy Samsung UE82NU8002. It cost's around 2635 usd. Do you know any alternatives to this TV? With around similar price +/- 500 usd and not Samsung? Why not Samsung? I read that they are actually displaying ads on TV in menus, so screw them, if I can find something in similar price that also has good display quality and without displaying ads that would be great. It would also be nice if it had good HDR capabilities.
  11. So it is compatible with this laptop? It’s the first time I am buying m.2 as an upgrade and want to make sure it’s right.
  12. Hi I have msi laptop pl62 7rc and I want to upgrade with 500 gb ssd. I am still confused with this m.2 sata/ nvmie storage. Speed is not that important, so I’d prefer cooler, slower drive rather than fast, hot one. Can I put m.2 sata ssd? If no, which one should I choose? Edit: Would Crucial 500 gb sata ssd mx500 2280 be a good choice?
