  1. I mean there's less to monitor but things seem way more consistent. Played with my fan settings just in case, more cooling!
  2. I think that one of the biggest draws for me about Overwatch was the level of teamwork that needs to be employed in order to succeed. Every game of Call of Duty or TItanfall that I played almost just felt like a squad of lone-wolves competing for the higher kill-count (Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE Titanfall). It brings me back to the hayday of Team Fortress 2 when I would clock something like 10 hours of Medic weekly, always finding new friends that I paired well with. It was a lot of fun, and Overwatch just seems like the natural evolution of that, but people aren't as used to to the co-operation needed. Long-story-short, I agree. I watched a video by Extra Credits that mentioned what could be done for team-play by including a "Teamwork" or "Synergy" tutorial to teach players how to, you know, WORK AS A TEAM! Here's the video if you're interested: LINK
  3. So I downloaded HWMonitor the other day just to check my temperatures and make sure my cooling is fine and I got really worried when I saw that some of my mainboard TMPIN temperatures are unusually high, specifically TMPIN 2, 5, 6, and the Mainboard temperatures. I did a little bit of research and somewhere I found that sometimes the sensors that detect those temps don't read correctly in HWMonitor all of the time, but I'm still a tad paranoid. My CPU seems fine, but is there something I'm missing here?
  4. It's free, and honestly after the updates, getting gold to level up cards is pretty easy if you play regularly. I try to play every day, since I run the clan and all, but it's also just fun to get that RTS gameplay on. It's certainly not for everyone, and not really anything like Duel Monsters, but if you like strategy games I suggest at least giving it a look. I didn't think it would catch me but I was hooked instantly.
  5. I'll see what I can do, thank you for your help about APUs and bios updates!
  6. It's a real-time strategy with Collectible Card Game elements. You collect cards to upgrade your units, make a deck using only 8 of the unit, spell, or building cards, and then play against a teammate in a lane-based RTS format that sort of reminds me of something like DotA. If you're ACTUALLY interested, here's a video going over the basics: LINK
  7. See the problem here is that I'm having trouble selling this board already so I was hoping to utilize what I have. Seemingly I'd have to get a GPU for this since Intel's offerings are null? Or just go about this in a completely different way?
  8. Yes but that's sort of irrelevant for this topic.
  9. So I run a clan in Clash Royale that was a small migration from an old clan that was unregulated and a mess. Now it's just pretty small, too small to consistently do wars and I mean, I like doing wars. SO you know, if you need a clan, CaribouLous is the clan name and we're open if you have over 2000 trophies. Come on over!
  10. Oh okay so it's basically just buying the most updated version of the mobo then, I getcha. But honestly the PC itself doesn't need to be THAT small, just compact enough to fit in an arcade cabinet, I think mATX could suffice if a good case is paired with it. That said, are there no LGA1151 chips with onboard video that could fit the same role as the apu computer mentioned?
  11. So what does that mean? Just make sure that the CPU has like the most updated drivers on it?
  12. I suppose it's also worth noting that, IDEALLY, I would use a small case inside the cabinet itself that can be secure in there or laid flat and easily removed for maintenance/upgrades so if there are any other options then I'm willing to consider them.
  13. I'm sorry, I'm having a bit of a tough time grasping this... The Ryzen has onboard video I think? PC Part Picker also says there are potential incompatibility issues that I'm not familiar with: "Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Raven Ridge CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."
  14. I've been trying to sell it and having no luck. Is it a bad idea to use Intel CPUs for this type of project?
  15. So I have this Z170-A Pro motherboard that's been sitting around for a few months and I'm having no luck selling it. Instead, I figured I might be able to take my retro-gaming hobby and learn some new things, and I figured that this board might be okay for some arcade emulation. ... That said I actually have no idea at all if it's a good board for that sort of a project. I'm sure with some research I could turn it into a decent fighting game cabinet, but I honestly want something with light-guns, but I'm fine waiting on doing something that intense. For now, I'm wondering if any LGA1151 CPUs would be decent for this project, and maybe some other ideas that you guys might have beyond my goals. I pretty much plan to just make the emulation PC and then I have a friend with a 3D printer who offered to let me use it to literally just print a cabinet. I work in a game store and we have some X-Arcade sticks that have a build it trackball, but since I'm only building it for fighting games mostly, I figured that THIS set of pushbuttons and sticks would suffice, but I'm open to suggestions. I've been lurking around FocusAttack and seen what they have, but I don't know that I'm that willing to customize a whole lot for a project that I'm just doing as more of a learning exercise. Any tips, advice, or suggestions are more than welcome!
