  1. @MonzaSed here's a reply from another dude that fixed this issue "Right what has fixed it for me is removing ASUS AISuite and Corsair iCUE. It would appear there is a BIOS bug that locks the machine if multiple programs access sensor data at the same time."
  2. Here i found it from an old thread 1.total black screen but PC still on yet you wont be able to restart using the power button 2.whole pc restarts out of nowhere Experienced them myself and I thought I had a busted part. Don't fret cos its happening also to the Rog Crosshair VII X470 those two are the really annoying stuff but there are solutions that the community has found and actually works. 1.Turn off all CPU temp sensing apps that run at startup (leave just one you trust, I left my MSI afterburner to be the only one to start at boot) 2.Do not run multiple temp sensing apps at once. Take time on each of them and only use them when needing to edit something. 3.Avoid using the cpu temp feature in aura sync. 4.CAM (NZXT app software) <--- this, use it only for lighting options and nzxt fan (if you are using nzxt fans) and on your stuff that runs only on cam then close it afterwards. 5.AI Suite <--- this app is hell, causes a lot black magic hell on your pc, I personally uninstalled it along with the others in the community. Asus said that its a bug between them and the windows 10 but they still aren't really showing signs to address these though. been 3 weeks now since I did what the community suggested and all is fine now, I'm leaving a link so you can read if you want. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?102858-Asus-Strix-X470-F-Gaming-owners-thread on page 8 there's a video but I do suggest to skim through from the beginning.
  3. Uhmm this is an old problem have the same board and used to have those problem, there was a thread about this a few weeks the board came out. 1.Set power to High performance 2. Use only Msi after burner &/or HWInfo as temp sensing aps, if you have other multiple temp sensing apps it'll cause random reboot &/or Black screen in my case its the NZXT CAM so i just set the fan to a locked speed and closed CAM and disabled auto open on start up 3.uninstall Ai suite by asus 4.Update Bios
  4. uhmm yeah only changed the speed and nothing else... im so sorry (T_T) I seriously don't know how to do stuff aside from updating bios and my tech is to busy with his life
  5. Hello everyone, would wanna ask help in overclocking my RAM (2x8gb Trident Z rgb 3200mhz C16D-16GTZR, 16-18-18-38 1.35v) on my asus x470 strix board. I'm really not versed in OC and when I checked it was just running on 2133mhz and changed it to 3200mhz in bios it crashed after a few sec into windows hahaha would greatly appreciate if anyone with the same board and ram could guide me Thanks!
  6. Oh yeah and also set your power profile to high performance. That solved my power CPU power draw issue lol. Or just skim through the link in my previous reply, it's all there.

  8. Personally I'd skip the 1070ti and just go directly to 1080. PSU with that budget I suggest you should go with the EVGA or Silverstone, whichever floats your boat. All the rest were cool though, guess your not in to the rgb hype, that's a rare sight (for me) ?. But do take the other suggestions
  9. I don't know with gigabyte but iv'e read somewhere (probably in the thread contained in the link) MSI has worse, but not sure whatsoever.
  10. Hey @Crossxfire45 our board has some bugs ASUS hasn't addressed yet but the community was able to find solutions. This is kinda unrelated to your post but I wanna get this out to as many people with the same board. 1.total black screen but PC still on yet you wont be able to restart using the power button 2.whole pc restarts out of nowhere Experienced them myself and I thought I had a busted part. But its still a really good board, im using it for gaming and architectural 3D creation + rendering.
  13. Hey @.spider. if you can do without the rgb on the RAM then get the Flare X Rams, built for AMD.

  15. Yup, not shitting you, if you know Jesse Palacio a.k.a JP Modified, he built my rig and told me about it and tried I it for myself, originally had only 2 trident.z 3200mhz (8gb each) went to bios and wont go higher than 2400 as per board's given choices, the other speed choices were faded, so we did some manual OC and got 2666mhz with the two, a week later i added 2 more ram sticks (same specs of course) and the other choices were available so it ran at 3200 already, but my friend borrowed the 2 some time after because his was on rma coz apparently he did something with aura sync and it killed some of his LED in his ram. So yeah, back at 2 sticks at 2666mhz
  16. got that board, wont oc higher than 2400 if only 2 sticks, manually can oc to 2666 with two sticks, need the four slots to be filled to go higher than 2400 unless you do some really manual fine tuning.
  17. Hello Guys, uhmmm Actually it's stated in our board's spec, it'll only OC the RAM speed to 2400mhz with two sticks ^^ it'll only go further if you have 4 sticks.Unless you guys do really deep manual tuning. ^^ I know this is a late reply but I hope it still helps.
  18. Hey I don't know if you've solved it already but i experienced also that situation when the monitor turned off but the pc is still on, as per asus thread on our board(same board) its caused when multiple temp programs are running like: CAM,Afteburner(i have a msi gpu),HWmonitor, AISuite(Uninstall this crap, it causes a lot of hell). So as per suggestion on the asus threads by people with same board as us I turned the auto start off of the temp sensing programs, uninstalled the aisuite and left only my msi afterburner to auto run on start up. 2 weeks already and no more issue. hope it helps
  19. Wow and to think Asus would show a little more love to AMD with its new effort top shake up the CPU market. Wanting to ask, did u experience sudden shut downs or black screen but the whole PC is still on? By the way unless you went a deep dive bios configure, our boards only accept 2400mhz OC with 2 ram sticks, need 4 sticks to achieve higher RAM potential. edit: Yes we have thesame board but no faulty slots and such.
  20. 1.Its all good but I strongly suggest you get the 2600 Ryzen to match your other high end parts, your work load and to utilize x470 motherboard's potential if not then best move to the x370 to match your 1600, it'll save you a bit BUT if you plan to move up to a higher cpu sooner or later then x470 it is. Im Using the 2700x on my Asus X470 - F and only a RX580 8gb GPU for 3d creation and both Image and video rendering (architecture stuff). 2.Thermal compound/Thermal Paste, this is VERY important, this is what you place on the CPU lid before attaching your CPU cooler, this helps transfer the heat to your CPU cooler im personally using a Noctua NT-H1 but there are other brands, just do a little search on good and top thermal paste. 3.Your GPU, 1080ti bro or if you wanna do an all amd rig like me get a Vega64(but again im using Rx580 cos poor), skip the crossfire, that stuff isn't that utilized. Note: Across some of the threads iv'e read here and there, x470 motherboards tend to shut down or resatrt if you are running multiple temp sensing apps, so keep that in mind.
  21. yeah was my main choices but it isn't available here in Philippines we mostly get what's left of the table from other countries :'( I just even found out Asus is only supplying 5pcs of Asus Strix F X470 for our entire country hahaha sad
  22. Opting to get the Gaming 7 but I guess Gigabyte is the choice of people Okay thanks! Will the boot time be less than a minute?
  23. And can anyone suggest a m.2 ssd for soley the OS and also another one just for the programs? THANKS!!!
