Same here in the PH, it's only 100-200 php difference (about 1-3 usd), you're right. Even here, 5700x is slightly more expensive than the 5700g.

Which begs the question, if I have already upgraded to 5700x, and when the time comes I'll upgrade my Rx580 to a newer one, what are your recommendations, if ever?

You're right, that's expected, considering my RX 580 is a couple of generations behind when Ryzen 5700x is out. I'll just have to make the most out of it. I just want to feel like I've done something new with my PC, that I can comfortably play games in the few years, want to have that performance like back in when this was 0-2 years old. Thank you for this. Is 16gb still the norm or the recommended RAM capacity for gaming like back in 2017/2018? I'm already out of touch, I'm not sure anymore which is the norm. Honestly, it is still fine for me until now. Okay, if I follow your advice, I'll take 5700x. Will I face a bottleneck issue if I'm still using my old RX 580 8gb? I just don't have the budget just yet to buy a new GPU. But when the time comes, what would be the best upgrade path for it?

I'm having thoughts lately to upgrade as we're couple of months away from the holidays. I haven't made any major upgrades since late 2018. At the moment, I'm looking at getting a Ryzen 7 5700g CPU to replace my aging Ryzen 1700 (as this is the original CPU since I built this PC from day one back in 2017). I am open for any advice, I've been delaying this upgrade plan for nearly 3 years now. Now, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately on what should I upgrade for my PC's CPU. I've decided to focus first with the CPU and to make sure that my PC is Windows 11 ready but I am not about to make the jump just yet. Since Ryzen 7th Gen is out now, my question is, is it practical for me to upgrade to Ryzen 7 3700x and stick to what I have right now? Or it would be wise to invest more towards 5th Gen Ryzen instead? Because I'm no longer updated with parts that needs to be matched up with, just to avoid bottleneck or whatnot. I wish to know what are my options, that is all. Lastly, I've inquired someone selling a Ryzen 7 3700x claiming to be brand new, plus it's only "tray model" (meaning doesn't include box and/or HSF). Just an update. Just used a FAKE dualshock 4 controller and I've successfully configured it with STEAM. It recognized it as a real ds4, and it works like you are playing directly from PS4. Haptics and everything. The only problem is that the QTE buttons displayed at the video game which are designed for XBOX controllers (the ones that are X,Y,A,B show instead of the Sony's PS shapes square, triangle, circle and the X) which confusing (bit annoying). At least I don't have to buy another controller which I don't have a lot money for it atm... Thank you for your insight!

Yes. I would consider a GPU upgrade for me to utilize my 144hz monitor more. Also, one of my goals is to try ray-tracing.

I'm afraid I'll have to wait till the prices go down. GPUs are still expensive, maybe I wait until next year, see when a new generation of GPUs and when ryzen 6th gen releases. Thats the time I might consider upgrading towards from my current Ryzen 1700 to at least Ryzen 5 5600x. I would consider upgrading a better GPU. One of my goals is to also utilize more my monitor (144hz). I wanna try ray-tracing as well. Any thoughts? At some games, I am not quite satisfied with the ave. FPS, I'm starting to feel that my GPU is aging. That's just my thought.

Hello there! Noob question here. I need help into deciding whether should I consider buying a controller solely for my gaming PC only. I do not own any Xbox console (never had one either). I was wondering if I could have the same experience as playing at my PS4 that it the controller provides a haptic feedback during gameplay. When I buy the Xbox X Series Controller and play some games at my PC, will it also give that haptic feedback experience? Thank you. Eman

As of now, I have been thinking to upgrade my computer because I'm worried that based on what's happening with the Windows 11 craze lately. I did my research and turns out to be that my current PC setup is not compatible with Win11. And it is all because of my CPU that's holding me back. Yet, I'm still overwhelmed that parts are still expensive atm. I'm also worried that I'll be forced to sell my old CPU at a quite low price than I thought, which it sucks but that's just how things depreciate overtime I guess.
