  1. I think it's kind of silly to buy a new Z77 mobo when I could wait a bit longer and get a new chipset with a new CPU. Preferably one that's better for rendering.
  2. It's possible with a newer mobo but a new Z77 mobo is like $130.
  3. That makes sense I mean honestly I didn't really buy it thinking "Oh man imagine how well I can Fallout 4!" I thought "This should allow me to play all the game I play really well without needing an upgrade for awhile.
  4. No it's because the slot died.
  5. It's the physics score and the combined test that are lower. The graphics test score is similar to what I'm seeing from others with my slightly lower clock. I should also mention that the PCI-E socket I am using has 8X speed as compared to the top slot with a 16X speed. I was told this would have no effect though.
  6. I plan to upgrade the CPU and mobo in the near future.
  7. My bad I went off Unigine Valley it must have given me a bad output. What is your voltage? Currently I maxed my potential overclock on the core without it crashing with a +10 core voltage.
  8. I'm downloading Firestrike now to get you some results and the rest of my system is: CPU: Intel i5 3570K @ 4.2Ghz Mobo: Asus p8z77-m RAM: Corsair 2x(4GB) 1600Mhz PSU: Corsair CX600M 80+ Bronze HDD: 1TB WD Black Monitor: AOC something (it's 1080p)
  9. Sure! Core Voltage: +10Mhz Power Limit: 105% Core Clock: +125 Memory Clock: +125 (I could probably adjust these a bit more to squeeze more performance out) Fan Speed: Auto
  10. Ah okay gimme a sec I'll get you one
  11. I used Unigine Valley not entirely sure how to link it I think my score was 3800-3900 range.
  12. The 660 I had before would meltdown if I overclocked it even a little I know your pain. ;(
  13. Hey guys, I got my EVGA ACX 980ti a few days ago and went ahead and put it in my gaming PC. I was able to get a great overclock Core Clock is 1568Mhz and Memory Clock is 3808Mhz with a 105% Power limit and +10 on the core voltage. It runs at about 74C under full load for extended periods of time. I was able to play Fallout 4 Maxed at 1080p with a min frames of about 47 fps when out in the world. Max obviously of 60 since I capped the framerate. In Crysis 3 maxed out I was averaging about 42fps overall. All in all I am very happy with my GPU purchase and won't need an upgrade for quite awhile. If anyone else has this GPU lemme know what overclocks you got and if you are happy with the performance Here is my FireStrike test results for you guys in case you wanted to see it!: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/9484216?
  14. Hey guys, I have an Asus p8Z77-M motherboard. It has at least 2 PCI-E 16x slots however the top slot closest to the CPU is either dead or failing due to it causing driver crashes and overall a ton of issues that were solved by switching slots. Currently I have a GTX 660 and I have yet to see any performance decrease with this slot being dead/ failing for over a year now. I am getting an EVGA GTX 980ti for the holiday over the weekend and I was wondering if this slot will have any negative impact on the 980ti since it is a massively higher performing card. Any help would be appreciated. I tried tom find the speed that the lane runs at online but have found no luck.
  15. x264, the CPU usage is looks to be about 50% when I stream EDIT: My bad, it lowers really fast when I alt-tab out. It's in the 90's.
  16. Hey guys, so I have actually really good internet right now where I'm at 70 down and 50 up. I wanted to do some streaming in my free time and decided to do CS:GO since that is a game I really enjoy playing. However when I start the stream and play my framerate drops from about 170+ fps down to 70-90 and is extremely choppy despite not dropping below 60 fps. In the game everything is set to low. I have a Lenovo y50 laptop that has relatively decent specs however I feel like it's something with the settings I have chosen. I'm trying to stream at 720p60, I have the x264 CPU preset set to medium currently.' In case you don't feel like looking it up the laptops specs are: CPU: intel i7 4700HQ @ 2.4Ghz RAM: 8GB GPU: Nvidia GTX 860M OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit (haven't gotten around to getting Windows 10 I just got back from a month long training exercise.) Any ideas?
  17. Hey guys, so this is a really annoying problem. I have a Lenovo Y50 with an i7 4700HQ and a GTX 860m. I just downloaded the beta and upon launch it told me my Onboard graphics was out of date, i chose to ignore the warning and made it to the title screen which then proceeded to run extremely slow and not allow me to press enter to start the game. That's problem #1 which I can only assume is the game automatically using my onboard graphics instead of the GPU which is an issue. Problem #2 is I have tried downloading the latest Driver for my onboard graphics via two different methods. I got the intel driver update utility manager. Even though I have a massive hatred for any update manager. Lo and behold the manager fortified my hatred by failing to properly download the latest drivers. It "downloads" it fully but the file does not appear in my explorer and clicking "Install" never does anything. Method #2 was direct download from the website. Funny enough I cannot search for my processor. I can search for the product family but drivers downloaded form that render a "The hardware you have is not supported by this driver" or something along those lines. This is incredibly annoying and I can't find a way around it. Any suggestions?
  18. Gotta love the M4A1. By that I mean you don't love it. You hate it, but you live with it because its your weapon and its an extension of yourself. An ugly extension, like an ugly twin or something. Just join weapons squad, use a 240B or get a 249, those are great.
  19. Mines usually 60, I can also intentionally drop it to the 40s at will.
  20. Take her out to get food, go to a park, try simple broad yet romantic things. Those work the best.
