Tomb raider uses lots of vram. Try turning down your texture quality.

The reason they have shield is because the products are sold by third parties and they can't verify every key before sale. It's not as if the company itself is seeing that you didn't use shield and is deliberately fucking you over.

A lot of States in the US don't have sales tax on digital goods. Also, if a business doesn't have a presence in your state generally you won't pay sales tax when ordering from them.

Generally I just play whatever is new, (xcom 2 right now) but other than that I always fall back on dayz and arma.

unfortunately 1440p isn't really a cheap resolution to run. I would say a minimum of something like a 390x.

I played this months ago, even hosted my own servers. It's good fun.

Arma is cpu bound, so either overclock more or consider upgrading to a cpu with higher ipc.

I have two 970s with stock coolers (the nvidia reference ones) and I run both my cards at 1490 mhz on the core. -
That game runs horribly on everything so probably not.

Do you have the latest drivers? I had no problems maxing it at 1440p, maybe try disabling v-sync. I played the game for 10 hours straight today and beat it with no real framerate issues. Scaling isn't always perfect but I was seeing about 70% or more usage on each gpu most of the time.

Just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider. That's the first time in years I've sat down and played a game straight through in one day. So good.

1440p is a high resolution. The fact that a single card can run this game is good. You seem to forget that until the 980ti most single card configs would struggle at that resolution.
