If you guys hold off buying for now, Nvidia might release a newer refresh called the "Super Duper" edition.

Vented_Swing_6295 reacted to Origami Cactus in What happens if you undervolt your cpu
It uses less power, and is cooler.

When cpus come out of the factory, they are set at a voltage, that is guaranteed to work with all chips, but more often than not, you will get a chip that can actually run at a lower voltage, and undervolting is taking advantage of that.
Unlike overclocking, undervolting can't harm your cpu, but if you go too low it won't be stable.

Like overclocking, it relies on the fact that you have won the silicon lottery, and you have a good chip.

It will consume less power and run at lower temps under load. If you undervolt too much, it will become unstable.

If you want to do it, you are going to need a monitor with the LCD part taken out to use it. and you'll need a white or bright AF case

You can just get it straight from tech flex and get some clamps. Doesn’t need to be very specific. Just got the size, depending on how you want it to fit. I have prolly 50’ if the split loom, use it for a few things with the cars.

Well cable mod AIO sleeves are literally just sleeves so It wouldn't take too much effort to just wrap a material around your AIO cables

Vented_Swing_6295 reacted to minibois in what is the diffrence between a 2.5" ssd and a nvme ssd
It's not an issue, more like a warning.
Your motherboard has a couple SATA ports (t might be 8, but 6 is more common) and this warning merely tells you "hey, you can either use an M.2 slot or all SATA ports".
Your motherboard manual might have a neat diagram for this; but that usually shows some configurations on what ports are disabled and which are not when dealing with an M.2 SSD.

This is nothing to worry about, since most people don't need all the SATA ports on the motherboard.
Just for reference, items that use a SATA port on your motherboard include:
    - Hard drives
    - Optical drives (DVD and blu ray)
    - SSD's that are not M.2
    - that's basically it.. I could mention HDD quickswap bays.. But those are quite uncommon now.

Vented_Swing_6295 reacted to minibois in what is the diffrence between a 2.5" ssd and a nvme ssd
NVME is a type of memory, typically used on SSD's that have a M.2 form factor that use the PCIE interface on your motherboard.
A 2.5" SSD is an SSD that uses the 'more standard' 2.5" for factor (duh :P) which uses the SATA interface to connect to your motherboard. It needs a SATA data and power cable.

Simply put, an M.2 PCIE SSD is faster (partially because faster interface) and uses no cable of any kind, since you insert it right into your motherboard.
2.5" SSD's you have to actually connect with cables and screw somewhere into your case (well... you don't have to ... but you're suppose to).

There is a midway between these two: M.2 SATA SSD's. SSD's that also connect via the M.2 connector on your board, but use the SATA interface. They are as fast as 2.5" SATA drives, but have the advantage of being able to connect with no cables. Typically they have the same speeds and very similar prices compared to their 2.5" SATA counterparts.

It's only 60% efficient, I wouldn't call that great. Maybe look for more W? People usually buy a UPS equal or stronger than their PSU, but since your System would work fine with a 600-650W PSU the UPS can freely be ~850W.

Its not scam company, if thats what you are asking. Just look at how much they ask for adding Windows to order. Its full OEM price. Plus they give all contact information about their hq. Probably they are just smaller shop and directed to small business customers.

It is depends on your hand size.and personal preferences in general such as what type of gamer you are (casual or serious) and what games you play the most,Etc.
The problem is most corsair mice are BIG.
So if your hand is around 18cm L and 9cm W then you can try the M65 Pro or the Glaive<-- which is the best IMO or the the Scimitar Pro if you need extra button.
But if your hand is small like mine then you can try the Harpoon..it may not have the best sensor ever but its dirt cheap and has a OKAY built quality.

The Dark Core feels quite nice, but the previous gen M65 is still a good mouse too.
A good mouse is a lot based on personal preference, like if you want wired or wireless and of course how it fits in your hand

Vented_Swing_6295 reacted to NineEyeRon in is the corsair void pro rgb a good headset
I have had mine for almost a year.

I had a Roccat Kave 5.1 before so moving to 7.1 seemed a good idea but I was sceptical.

I was initially impressed by the headset but as time as gone on I was surprised to find it felt better the more I got used to it.

Very very impressed with it, mic is very clear. I even use it for work conference calls when at home and people always comment on how good the mic is.

Sound is very good, bass is good and surround works better than 5.1.

only two downsides is that after a year the battery now only lasts 2-3 hours before needing a charge and and the sound leaks quite bad compared to my full cup music headphones.

Would recommend highly over other headsets, even more expensive ones.

Since Corsair's RGB is proprietary, You'll need to stay in their product lineup if you want everything to Sync. So anything that can hook up to the included Corsair Lighting Node Pro. as an FYI the included fans are HD120-s so if you want more of those fans, now you know which they are.

    The
'7.8/10 too much water' thing in Pokemon Sun/Moon was neat.
Basically that is the score IGN gave Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire (the games before Sun/Moon) and they gave it a 7.8, with one of the cons being 'too much water' (as the Hoenn world which the game takes place in kind of is filled with a lot of water routes).
