  1. If it's overclocked, you may need to tune it down a bit. If it's not overclocked, then you probably need a new cooler. Either way, I would recommend a new CPU cooler, because if the CPU is throttling, then it's definitely a problem with cooling.
  2. I would honestly wait until AMD releases their Navi GPUs next year. From what we know, it looks like they're going to perform very well for the money. I'm also in a situation where I'm looking to upgrade from a 1050 Ti and I'm waiting until AMD Navi comes out, and I suggest you do the same.
  3. If you have a PC, I would strongly recommend a desktop hard drive, as they still aren't very expensive, and you can get a 1TB hard drive for only about CAD$50, which in my opinion, is a pretty good price.
  4. Almost all good coolers are compatible with LGA1151 (the CPU socket on your motherboard), and I've never seen one that isn't (apart from cooler specifically designed for special sockets like TR4). Although I've never owned a Corsair cooler, I've heard that the Corsair Hydro H100i is a great cooler. So don't worry about picking the wrong cooler, because almost all of them fit your board.
  5. I'm thinking of upgrading my 1050 Ti to an RX 580, but I'm torn between getting a 4GB or 8GB card. Right now, there's a deal for a Sapphire RX 580 4GB on Amazon right now that makes it more than CAD$50 cheaper than the cheapest RX 580 8GB card. I'm planning to use this card for 1080p gaming for the next few years, and I'm unsure about whether 4GB will be enough for the next few years, if it's worth the extra CAD$50+ for the 8GB card, or if I should wait for the next year or so for a new release from either AMD or NVIDIA, because right now, the 1050 Ti suits my current needs, I'm just worried about how much longer it will be able to keep up.
  6. I'm currently looking to upgrade the stock cooler on my Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, but the maximum clearance in my case (Cooler Master Masterbox Lite 3.1) for a cooler is 158 mm, and I've researched many high-end air coolers, and all of them are taller than 158 mm. I'm also looking for a cooler that will last a while, as I plan to use it for the next 4-5 years, and one that will cool my CPU effectively, as I do plan to overclock it in the future. I'm just wondering what the best air coolers smaller than 158 mm are, and advice is greatly appreciated.
  7. I recently completed a build with an MSI B350M Gaming Pro and a Ryzen 5 1600, but I turned it on and the debug LED said there was something wrong with the CPU. After some research, I found out it was likely an outdated BIOS, as the original B350/X370 BIOS only supported Ryzen 7. Is there any way I can update the BIOS without having to bring the PC into a shop?
