  1. I work in a brightly lit environment and my monitor is a bit too reflective. I want to eliminate these reflections and glares. What do you guys recommend: a monitor hood or an anti reflective film? Any other possible resolutions are welcomed.
  2. well I got it re-delidded. Temps are back to normal. As suspected, LM was the culprit. Here is what happened. I replaced the stock 9900ks IHS with a copper IHS last year and over time, the gallium in the LM was soaked by the copper IHS and so it sorta dried out. So a reapplication of this should last much longer this time since that part is already soaked with gallium. Now my 2nd question is, does heat speed up the soaking process? If so, at what temperature does copper start soaking up gallium faster? If could see a graph of this, this would cool.
  3. Current setup 9900ks delidded (1 year ago, professioially done) CPU cooler H110 rgb Problem: This started happening a few months ago or maybe longer, one of the core on the CPU is hitting 100C+ in about 30 seconds while the other cores are nice. This results in BSOD on some games. remedial attempts: 1) I tried reseating the the cooler (I reapplied the paste Noctua Nh-1) 2) I underclocked the CPU to 4.7/4.0 avx/4.3 cache at 1.3v --> before it was 5.0/5.0 avx/4.7 cache at 1.33 (the temp problem is still not resolved. Only one core spikes to 100C and is possibly causing BSOD. Should I have this delidded again? My hunch is that the vertical orientation of the cpu has somehow over time made the liquid metal droop down from one of the cores. Help please~
  4. hmmm..why would my business page be flagged as a fake or scam? Btw, you need to create a personal page before you create a business page. what are you talking about?
  5. This is a really messy problem and I hope you gurus can help me out. This is regarding facebook business login. My problem is that my company no longer has access to its facebook business page. < content removed by staff > To resolve this issue, I've contacted facebook and they told me to read the FAQ which does not address my problem at all. They simply ignored me and refused to help me in anyway. So trust me, I asked facebook and they were willfully negligent. I hope to God facebook goes out of business soon. Here, let me explain my problem from the start. First, I assigned my employee to create my company's facebook page. (< content removed by staff >) In order to do this, she told me that she was forced to create her personal page (< content removed by staff >) She also linked the company's instagram account to the business facebook page. (davincidog.petrition) About three month ago, facebook stop taking foreign credit cards so I ended up owing facebook money. My employee never told me this and the ad was stopped. So I got a VISA card and paid for the ad money that I owed to facebook. I thought everything would go back to normal but series of problems occurred . 1) she couldn't access the business page. Somehow, her personal page has been unlink to the facebook page and the option of going to business page was now gone. 2) the instagram account would no longer run advertisements. When I clicked on settings > payments > promotion payment. It says, "You can't create ads for the facebook page connected to this instagram account." Please please help me tech gods!
  6. Rx560 because while1050 is marginally better, most monitors are freesync compatible. Freesync is defin. Worth it.
  7. I mean, the system is fine. No need for CPU upgrade for games. You will see marginal improvements of 10fps or less at best if you game higher than 1080p. IMO, you pretty much hit a diminishing return at 8600k, which is arguably similar to 9600k. You should jump to AMD for your next build. If you want to get a bit more mileage, overclock it to 5ghz then it performs similarly to 9700k in games.
  8. Its at 1333. Understandable tho. since its a single channel. Lets see it handle 2666 when u get the second ram.
  9. since his rams are not the exact pairs. OP might have to do it manually. XMP IMO, is not recommended
  10. yeah, I think LG monitors have features like that. Personally, I think the best setup is a stacked ultrawide.
  11. 1) How many people swap CPUs that often? 2) You are presupposing that the case is large. When you are doing a mitx build with an AIO, it can be a real pain since tubes do not bend that well 3) I mean 99% of all AIOs are either from Coolit or asetek. Everything is just cosmetic differences...that is why they all perform very similarly.... In fact, I could start a company right now if I sign their OEM agreement. 4) Corsair is arguable the biggest company with the largest budget and most people on here use Corsair since Linus parades around with their products. I have many Corsair products btw and their iCUE software is just soooo bad. AIO is like an unwanted child and your SJW mentality is blinding you from admitting that sub 240mm AIOs are utter garbage.
  12. link please. I know for a fact that no AIO 240mm can *significantly* beat d15. Perhaps in a sub 30 minutes test, they may pull ahead by 2 Celsius at max. However, in an 8 hour test, the D15 kills any AIO 240mm that is configured in any standard 3 fan combinations. AIOs 240mm or smaller are for 1) aesthetics, 2) a scam designed for gamers who aren't able to differentiate between a real water cooling setup and AIOs or 3) gamers duped by fake reviews that's been sponsored by AIO manufacturers and their OEM partners. If you want a 240mm AIO to perform comparably to d15, then you have to put up with additional noise. Aside from aesthetic reasons, 240mm and their smaller models should not exist. 1) too many points of failures (pump failure, leakage) 2) it is loud (requires fan to run louder to keep up with D15) 3) unreliable software control I know there are many AIO fanboys on here but open your eyes! You've been swindled! Like these "benchmarks" from sponsored sites show you temps after 10~15 minutes. They are basically sell outs. *I define significantly as a delta of 5 degrees Celsius or more.
  13. agreed. AIOs in general are gimmicks. 240mm AIOs on full fan speed is similar to d15 but at much louder decibel. In addition, if you do 8hour testing, 240mm AIOs temp continues to go up since water has hard time letting go of heat. Air coolers are far superior to AIOs IMO.
  14. I had it and it made whining noise at the pump. It was also leaking a bit as well. Weird thing is that the coolant was very evaporative so it only left a greyish residue. Also, the ICUE software was pretty bad. The stocks fans were really bad too. I never wanna touch AIO anymore. I learned my lesson.
  15. couple possible factors 1) power setting 2) nvidia optimus setting. go to the nvidia setting and force enable nvidia graphic card for all games so the games stop trying to switch GFX to save power.
  16. core i5-9600k. its easily overclockable and has a fast single core. If it is purely for gaming, intel. However, in general, AMD might be a better choice.
  17. noctua nuff said. But... I hate the h100i v2. sell it and get a noctua d15.
  18. but to be fair, there is a sharp diminishing return after the real speed of 200. To clarify, if the ram is 3600mhz and CL is 18 or 3200mhz and CL 16.
  19. I think it was the anti-virus. If you had it in real time protection mode, it will cripple performance.
  20. the motherboard is capable of only supplying so much power. the dac exceeds that limit when paired with other power drawing usb devices
  21. its your dac. USB dac draws too much power. limit your usb devices.
  22. 1) stick to 2x8gb (you do not need 32gb, in the case that you are doing 3d stuff, get a new rig) 2) rams do not improve your FPS, it improves frametime (frametime is the staibility of FPS presented so it yields are more console like exp. *just prevents frame drops) 3) just get something cheap since mhz/ timing is not going to yield a tremendous diff. My only suggestion is that the real speed of the ram equals 200. ex) 2400mhz should have CL 12 minimum. 2666 13cl minimum.
  23. its a bad choice man. An oced 3770k does not bottleneck the 1080 in most games. 1050ti should be paired with a much weaker CPU for it to make sense.
  24. what? 1050ti for gaming? contrary to many member's optimistic view, 1050ti will most likley give you 45~50fps on 1080p medium. Games will be slightly unplayable and annoying unless you play non-demanding games like minecraft.
  25. the exact same thing happened to me two days ago. Here is what I did, I bought a new PSU. But if you don't want to, please simply reassemble your computer part by part and the problem magically goes away. BTW, I am serious here...
