SHROUD reacted to GoldenLag in NEW AMD BUILD - UPGRADING FORM 6 YR OLD PC
this build doesnt have a GPU. so it wouldnt work in the first place as there is not integrated GPU.

overpriced, get a 500GB P1 or 660p for the same price.

drop to 3200mhz cl16 instead as unless that there is a minor cost increase, the money is better spent elsewhere.
overkill wattage, you just need 550w, and you can get much cheaper units like the Bitfenix formula Gold, MWE Gold from cooler master, TX550m or Pure Power 11 600w/cx550

you can also probably save money by getting the Gaming Plus Max from MSI.

edit: if you allready have a GPU, use that, but you would gain more from just upgrading the GPU than the entire system with the exeption of the GPU if its the GPU in the signature.

SHROUD got a reaction from Mateyyy in Is this a good build or can it be improved
I guess you are mixing up TDP and power consumption.
Technically speaking, tdp is not exactly the power consumption.
The thermal design power (TDP), sometimes called thermal design point, is the maximum amount of heat generated by a computer chip or component (often a CPU, GPU or system on a chip) that the cooling system in a computer is designed to dissipate under any workload.

I personally owned a RM psu, though it has good reviews, it has pretty bad build quality. The fan on that unit is terrible.
Also, don't always go blindly with the tier lists.
For eg. 1 year ago the evga g3 used to be in tier A, slowly down the line it made its way to tier D. Similar story is with the focus plus units.
Mwe used to be in tier A as well. Now its in tier B+.

Considering your are in the budget tier, i'd say anything is the B+ or B Tier is good and around 550 to 600 Bronze will give you a nice margin for the near future.
