Tokyo Sakura - My Custom Keyboard

An album for my sweetheart Tokyo Sakura custom-built keyboard. I built this keyboard by hand in July of 2019.

@dizmo The backlight on the monitor acts as a bias to prevent eye strain especially at night so I'm not staring at a bright strainy box in the dark, it helps not just for aesthetics but also eye strain, so in that sense, it is soothing!

    PC Showcase Photography

An album for any photography I take of my very own custom PC.
  5. M.2 heatsink also now installed, mainly for the looks, but also for cooling since the drive is in the center of all the things that make my PC hot, namely the AIO pump and the GPU which still doesn't have a backplate yet.

  6. My new upHere GPU sag bracket arrived! It genuinely does help in mitigating GPU sag (not that it's hard to keep my Asus Dual GTX 1060 from sagging) and also looks neat inside my PC too.

  7. Next desk item on the list... Probably a vertically-standing wireless charger, having a wireless charging pad and then a standing mount just seems clunky. Also means more room for my future amplifier.

Part of me envies the amount of space small speakers like that give you, but I could never give up my monitors.

Do you find the backlight behind the monitor is somewhat soothing? I've been thinking about getting the Corsair RGB sticks to have the same effect, since I need a new headphone stand anyway.

Ahhh perfect! Yeah, I'll probably try out the towers then. Possibly just an RGB strip but since I need a new headphone stand anyway it makes sense to incorporate the two.

  8. Exhaust to ensure balanced airflow pressure. You can also test around to see if having the fans in push or pull have any noticeable difference to your temperatures.
  9. I feel like now that I'm investing in my PC's looks (and functions, obviously) I'm starting to concern myself with QOL things like getting an actual desktop amplifier so I can get a USB-C PCIe add-in card, maybe a backplate for my GPU, M.2 heatsinks, the list really goes on.

I may or may not have more things on the way already.

I will say that getting a nice pair of headphones and an amp/dac was one of the best things I've invested into. If you love music, it'll be a big thing.

  10. Pretty sure this AIO is easily the most aesthetically-pleasing upgrade I've done to my PC, ever, no question. I've not seen my DIMMs and my VRMs in forever, everything just seems a lot more spacious.

  11. Currently using a Samsung Galaxy S20 which I bought a month ago, coming from an Apple iPhone 8 Plus.
  12. My brother's ASRock B450M board came with a POST speaker cable thing, I stole it for my own PC, it's not very useful as I've never tinkered with my hardware enough to hear anything other than a 'beep', but I appreciate it since my motherboard otherwise has no other method to telling me what's wrong if something doesn't come up. It's a basic Asus Prime Z370-P so it's not the highest end house on the block. They're definitely not as favored today, but for older or less-blingy motherboards, the speakers that attach to your motherboard exist.

And she's done! Yes, I know that lower fan does…

@TVwazhereLike I said I ran CB twice, each test taking about 2 minutes, had the PC on previously at 4.7GHz playing PCBS and Fallout 4 before I rebooted to 5.0GHz, not sure if that counts towards a 'test', just had some usual usage before these runs!

And she's done! Yes, I know that lower fan does…

@TVwazhereYou need to take my findings with a grain of salt since I am running my PinkFlow at the front of my airflow-forbidden NZXT S340 case, and I have my fans set to pull. I also have said fans at quite a low RPM to keep noise down. This is my 8600K running 5.0GHz 1.275V with the AIO, this was a second run since I had BSOD with 5.0GHz 1.25V, so it might look warmer than it is. Otherwise, it just seems like any other Asetek cooler on the market. It's got the looks though.

    @orbitalbuzzsaw I have, but it's not a priority yet.

@Energycore I'm actually intending to buy a 32GB RAM kit so I'm not interested in modding these Corsair sticks.
  17. Super happy with the upgrade, loving my PC's aesthetics again. The huge ass air cooler stuck out like a sore thumb. Also I'd never thought I'd have the balls to go water cooling, but I was clearly proven wrong today! Loving how pink it is now.

I've a feeling this would look great if you spray painted your RAM heatspreaders either white or some light shade of pink
