I both love and hate how much usage of RGB my setup has gotten recently, even moreso since it looks (in my opinion) the best combination of balance between blue and pink.
I may or may not be thinking of buying some RGB strips for inside of my PC, it could always use a bit more color in there, especially down the bottom.

These bays could have been done much better... Along with the amp, I decided to get my 2.5" bays pink as well to give some more color inside my case.
In hindsight, I should have a) used primer and b) used thinner coats as the coats I did were far too thick didn't adhere well, especially on the sides, where the paintjob would be the most visible.
I'm still quite proud of the color though, any color over black is greatly appreciated inside my PC.

I present to the world, the cutest Magni 2 on the planet. Freshly spray-painted with Plastikote Satin Cameo Pink! It's not as a vibrant pink as I thought it would be, it's more of a glossy/satin baby pink, but it definitely still lifts my setup compared to the bare metal it formerly was.
Whole process took around 3 hours, I began with a first coat which lasted 30 minutes, then another coat for 30 minutes, and then a final coat after that, which I left for an hour. I then brought my Magni back indoors to dry for a further hour and took a hair dryer to it to expedite the drying, as by this point, the paint had cured completely.
It is still technically not completely dry, but dry enough that I was able to get it all re-assembled.

How my desktop tends to look around 11pm, where I bring up my lossless library, put on my HD 580 headphones or my FiiO FH5 IEMs, and chill out to a host of songs. Audio has been such a difficult audio to get a firm grasp on given that it all happens in my ears, but when I'm sat here listening to whatever I want for the next few hours, all my investments have been made worth it.

@LetgomyleghoeYou know the G920 (the wheel I have) comes with pedals and it has a clutch pedal, right? There's also an optional stick shifter that I've omtted (for now) which would still make the whole package be under $250.

The only thing I hate about the pedals is that they press down into the base instead of back towards the rear of the wall as a real car does. It always felt off to me

I remember when my setup used to be nothing more than a 24" monitor, mouse, keyboard, and watch stand.
I love the glow-up, quite literally. Especially what's in front of me, the Magni, it's added a lot more presence to the desk than I thought it would, even though it's molecular compared to the things around it.

The Magni and the FH5 have been such a couple made in paradise, while the Magni to me hasn't made any appreciable difference in sound quality when used with the FH5, I have taken full use of the volume wheel and the accessibility of the front audio jack for a seamless audio experience.
It's been a while since I've fully ran the FH5s as my dailies of choice, these things are unbeaten in clarity in all frequency ranges which is what I look for in my audio setup. The HD 580s will have to wait a while before they grace my ears again due to the oddly-behaving 1/4" adapter...

I just leant about spherical aberration whereby extreme edges of an image particularly in text or smaller elements are blurry/skiddy, and is caused by going too up close to a subject, which I have done countless amounts of times...
I took this pic of my Magni 2 earlier about 10cm away from the thing, and you can see the text in the bottom-right as well as the very edges of the image are well blurred and not in a good way.
Fast forward to a picture I took a few minutes ago, this time from 30cm away and everything is pin-sharp! Can't believe I hadn't looked into this aberration issue sooner. I know this shot is a little further out but with aberration, I would've seen the I/O lever be blurred which it isn't here.

I have Schiit on my desk today, Magni 2! I've been meaning to get a desktop amp for a while, glad I've picked this little guy up, and for under $100 too. It's a lot smaller in real life than I imagined, but it packs more in sound than it does its weight.
I do have a slight compatiblity issue with the HD 580s and this Magni, whereby one of the channels isn't working when connected to the Magni 2 using a quarter-inch jack, but that's the HD 580's problem, nothing wrong with the Schiit unit itself.
Paired up with my FH5s, this thing is a breeze to setup. Just needed to borrow a quarter-inch adapter from my M50x and hook it up, and it's golden.

@EnergycoreI use the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Fx PCIE sound card as my DAC of choice for now, my motherboard sound just doesn't cut it.
Believe me, I've been waiting for the right time to snatch up a Schiit Magni, been a few months, but finally found this one last week for £70 from England!

@Energycore Both the Magni 3 and the Modi 3 should be $99 new so that is high.

Picked up an iFixit Essentials repair kit, unfortunately might have been a bit late. This would have been great to use for my laptop upgrade, but my laptop is fully upgraded/modded and no longer needs any more tinkering.
What I like about the essentials repair kit is the tool range, it's just enough to scrape by if you're a minor hobbyist in phones and laptops, especially given how much bits are provided with the screwdriver.

Finally got the last RGB fan to light up! Took a lot of extensions and even male headers, but glad I finally got that son of a bitch to join its sisters and brothers in lighting goodness.
Also, my second Samsung 850 EVO arrived and it's now installed, bringing my entire system storage up to 1.25TB. I have 2 free 5.25" bays for HDDs if I need, but not sure I do as I have all the storage I need, at least for now.

Thinking next I'll create a RAID 1 array for my YouTube resources, I find I need to reference my old video content and it's all on a single SSD right now, would be nice if it had a backup, so a RAID 1 array would be great for a backup.
This would mean buying an exact same Samsung 850 EVO in 250GB capacity though and I know those are a bit overpriced...

RAID = Redundancy
RAID ≠ Backup
Many things can fail on a RAID array that can cause you to lose both copies.
@James Evens Assuming Windows here using Storage Spaces would probably be her easiest option. Motherboard RAID is never recommended.
