About Me

Hi, I'm Sowon, 19 years old, based in Scotland, United Kingdom, and I'm a mechanical keyboards enthusiast, specifically in the physicality of mechanical keyswitches.

I got into mechanical keyboards in 2017 when I bought my first mechanical keyboard, an E-Element Z-88 which housed Outemu Blue keyswitches, and found the tactility to be good for daily use. In June of 2019, I finally made my own custom keyboard from scratch using a Geek GK61 kit and Kailh Box Jades, and from then, my ticket into the mechanical keyswitches world was redeemed.

I now gather a variety of different tactile, linear, and clicky switches available on the market and test them for review, not only for finding my own personal favorite switch, but for the benefit of the mechanical keyboards community and anybody who is looking for their own switch in their own dream mechanical keyboard.

I buy all my switches with the money I earn from working in retail, but are up for looking for sponsors so buying all these switches and the modding tools such as lubricants don't cost me a whole house.

My favorite linear switches are Tealios V2, Ink Blacks, and NovelKeys Creams.

My favorite tactile switches are Kailh Box Jades, Zealios V2, and Hako Clears.

You can find me over on Twitter, as well as Discord, I'm sowon#7980.
