I'm taking a new approach to using my PC now, I feel like I've blindly just been after raw power and not cared for temperatures recently. My old approach summarised would be "Go as high a CPU clock as I can go, slap 700RPM fan curve on the CPU cooler, and call it a day".

My new approach is "Go for a reasonable CPU clock with reasonable voltages, do a decent fan curve for the observed temperatures my CPU hits, and optimise the performance for the temperatures created so my PC is correctly configured to run as efficiently as it can".

 

I'm currently running 4.7GHz 1.20V with 700RPM flat fan curve on my Deepcool Neptwin cooler, which yields me a maximum of 60°C, give or take.

 

I feel like I should be running a proper fan curve to account for the temperatures my CPU is getting, because then otherwise me using Kryonaut is useless. It's time to raise the ceiling on my cooler's performance and properly optimise my BIOS settings to correctly and more efficiently get my PC working in day-to-day use.

    me: pumps 1.4v continuesly, fan curve is always 1400 rpm and clock is fixed to 5 ghz

     

    maybe i should do a bit as well...
