I love how the very first thing I plug into my iPhone 8 Plus' connector is a lightning-to-3.5mm headphone adapter of all things.

I still use my Samsung wireless charger so that's fine, and I have my Jaybird X3 wireless earphones, so wireless life it is.

Unfortunately things change when I want to use my ATH-M50x...

Lol. Apparently they make a wireless set of the M50Xs. Might be a good investment, idk.

Right now I just carry the lighting EarPods with me when I’m on campus and when I’m at home my dongle is like permanently attached to my M50Xs.

I just bought my wired M50x so I might as well stay with it, besides it's not often I use my M50x with my phone anyway.

The dongle is more useful if for example a speaker needs a 3.5mm jack, that and the above M50x workaround are the two scenarios I see this small dongle coming into play.

My pair is like 3 years old. The earmuff things are starting to wear out, but replacements aren’t expensive.

They make 3.5mm to wireless adapters if the M50X has a removable cable (idk if it does or not)

It has a removable cable but it’s keyed.

Yeah, I know they make adapters, but honestly that seems like more of a hassle to bring that adapter in addition to the dongle.
