It saddens me how me buying a pair of headphones has caused so much upset.

I was finally able to afford the headphones I've been wanting for years, I am finaly able to make the transaction, and they arrived at my house. I finally have them.

It just doesn't feel good to finally grasp the headphones that I've been wanting for a quarter of my life, to then have that feeling stripped away by comments from 'audiophiles' whom are just looking down on me and these headphones simply because there are "better ones out there".

I was feeling so accomplished that I finally have the headphones that I've longed for, I listened to music for hours on end and just refused to take these off even, it was an epic evening when these arrived...

It really did put a downer to finally give me own perspective on these headphones and just be buried to the ground for what I wanted in headphones. The M50x are everything that I've ever wanted in a pair of headphones, and what do I get?

...I get sharked at for buying these over the others because apparently the M50x have poor sound quality.

Do I look like I care for the best sound quality in the world? This is my first pair of premium consumer headphones, which I bought with my own hard-earned money, which I worked my heart off for, and I finally got them. I didn't want any of the rest, I didn't want to hear the negatives.

I'm tired of how much controversy I've generated for simply buying the headphones I've wanted all my life, I can say it again and again, because at the end of the day, I got my headphones, and the audiophiles who berated me for it, have absolutely flattened my mood.

So, personal letter to those who shit on my mood:

Thanks for being so close-minded as to what I wanted;

Thanks for not taking into consideration what I as a normal consumer wanted from headphones;

Thanks for ruining the sheer joy and ectasy from finally being able to buy the M50x;

Thank you, so much, for not simply being a good person and not appreciating my effort and my personal goal of finally getting my dream headphones.

These are my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, and frankly, if you don't like what I've purchased, you don't need to talk to me at all.

    to be fair, there's always a better pair of headphones no matter what you buy in a entry mid & to an almost high end tier , they're right in that sense that there's better , for me it has always bugged me that i could've afforded a better pair.  that's a price it comes with. it's a gift and a curse.

    but each ear is different, it always has been like that, it's fun watching different contrasting opinions coming for the same headphones from different reviewers & users because all of them hear different , except the usual common treble & bass stuff which is amplified or dampened by the manufacturers tuning drivers, at the end of the day , if you like what you hear, then it's good enough.

    but people who've tried it & also something higher tiered & have better knowing of the difference, can provide you some advice, it's a free & good advice when you need to buy a new one in the future & is deciding between the same one or a better one.

    Yeah, those look like nice headphones and Audio Technika is an highly regarded company, so to me it seems like very fine choice.

    But i use Sony wh-1000mx2, so Audiophiles would probably just straight up kill me.
