  1. And she's done!

Yes, I know that lower fan doesn't have RGB on it, I ran out of headers...

@sowon how long did the test take to complete? Typically Water cooling loops take 10-15 minutes to reach "peak" temperatures (some call it equalibrium)

@TVwazhereLike I said I ran CB twice, each test taking about 2 minutes, had the PC on previously at 4.7GHz playing PCBS and Fallout 4 before I rebooted to 5.0GHz, not sure if that counts towards a 'test', just had some usual usage before these runs! :D

Usually for AIO's you wanna let it run longer than that to make sure, but temps probably wouldn't have risen much higher than that what they just were.

Thank you for the info! :)

  2. Big changes are happening for my old gal, got the old Corsair fans and the Deepcool tower cooler off ready come Monday.

Been a while since I've seen my PC so barren.

What are you replacing them with? :D

Also long time no see, NZXT S340

  3. Ah, I should have noted that that case is not strictly an S340, but you're right, NZXT mid-towers seem to be equally standard in where their beauty panels are, so your point about the dimensions is right! Thanks to all!
  4. Sorry I wasn't specific, I meant it fitting inside the case. The NZXT S340 has this black bar thing near the front of the case, and as you can see from this Gamers Nexus screenshot, that AIO is getting its hairs trimmed, so I was wondering if I might have troubles with the radiator plus fans fitting in.
  5. Hi, so I've recently been in the market for an AIO liquid cooler to enhance the aesthetics of my PC, I've found the ID Cooling PinkFlow 240mm that I've possibly found is the one. It's got the looks that I want, whilst also being at a price that I can swallow, at £119.99 on Amazon UK. I watched Gamer's Nexus' video on it and it performs just like any other Asetek AIO on the market. I just have a few concerns: Is it actually priced okay? I'm not familiar with the AIO CLC market so I'm fairly blind on pricing. Is there anything better in the market that has equally good aesthetics and/or cooling performance? How am I able to tell if it's compatible with my case? I have an NZXT S340 and I'm worried about the beauty panel clashing with the AIO. Thanks in advance for advice!
  6. Been running my PC with my fans at 0v for a few weeks now, the lack of fan bearing noise has been a bliss. My main concern with this was proper airflow for not just the cooler but also the graphics card, although I'm finding I'm not gaming as much as I used to, so this doesn't really become a problem, and even when the time comes, the fans are set to come to life when it gets a bit too toasty, dictated by the CPU.

  7. Following Twitch's recent rampage of suspensions surrounding the streaming of copyrighted music under the premises of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, DragonForce guitarist and avid streamer Herman Li has been suspended on Twitch for playing his own music while streaming, seemingly misapplied. Herman is/was a prominent supporter of music on the streaming platform, often allowing his viewers and fans alike to cover DragonForce's songs without the knife of Twtich's DMCA takedown riding down the backs of smaller, aspiring streamers. Twitch hasn't appeared to have given a statement on why Herman was suspended, but fans speculate it was evidently because of music, given that Herman 99% of the time on his now-suspended channel was playing his guitar for thousands of his fans to see. It's yet another nail in the well-secured coffin for Twitch's dwindling and now-intimidated small and big streamerbase, when even a music streamer with such high pedigree in DragonForce's Herman Li gets suspended, although the reason has not explicitly been noted. While not a music producer myself, I feel like as a member of DragonForce and therefor under the label of DragonForce, he would be able to amend the situation by simply asking his label to give permission to his own music? However, I feel like Herman Li is one to take it on the chin and move on to YouTube, as conveyed in the tweet above, at least until/if his Twitch channel is unsuspended.
  8. My PC's 500GB Crucial P1 NVME M.2 on the left, my laptop's Samsung PM981 NVME M.2 on the right, this thing is a champion.

Also it looks like my P1 is showing its age with a 66% health status.

  9. Gave my laptop yet another (slight) upgrade to an NVME M.2 drive. It's a 256GB Samsung PM981, and I'm coming from a Liteon SATA drive.

It's an incredibly small upgrade, but I thought I'd treat my laptop again, and this also means I get the Liteon drive for my PC!

  11. Me looking at my PC remorsefully when I realise I've only put around 11 hours of PC gaming across Steam, Origin, and osu across the past 2 weeks:

Well, I'll add you in case you wanna play multiplayer sometime :D

I was 1300pp (around your rating) a month or so ago. Now I'm 1700 HYPE

So we should be playing about the same maps.

  14. I find my Asus ZenBook 3's screen so much more vibrant, colorful, and overall higher quality than my LG monitor that I find myself making up excuses to use this machine, not mentioning just how gorgeous it looks other than the screen.

It has to be one of my favorite purchases I've made this year, next to my Samsung S20, which both conveniently have made the shift to USB-C-ing everything way easier since both charge and data sync using USB-C, so both would only need my one USB-C dongle.

  15. I feel like I've been less involved in keyboards recently even though I've daily'd my Tealios board for as long as I can remember. I've tried more switches than I can count on all my limbs and I'm not exactly up for spending more on this hobby given how materialistic this hobby is, so I've kind of plateau'd in a sense.

Definitely want to do something with my spare switches, they're all either dormant in my other boards, or sitting around in jars on my shelf. Would be fun to use those boards again but I love my main board so much that it's so hard to switch away! (No pun intended)

  16. I don't know if it's how I use my browsers, but I can generally get away with using any fork of Chromium i.e Opera, Edge etc. and still manage to feel right at home. The one thing I've noticed from trying to use Edge as my main browser is the lack of a 'cast' button to my TV, but otherwise Chromium-based browsers all feel the same to me, apart from the UI of course.
  17. At least the entertainment value was there. Was definitely kind of sus that Linus happened to finish just as 69% was reached, but the video was enjoyable without the stakes anyway. Mind bloody blown by that.
  18. As nice as the Samsung Buds+ are, I don't know if it's them or if it's my incredibly small ear canals, but these isolate noise like nobody's business. I put in both and suddenly I can't hear any outside world noise without the use of ambient mode inside the Samsung Wearable app. That may sound good but in practise, I lose all sense of auditory awareness and it makes me lowkey anxious when using them both in, so I tend to only have one in since I hate how ambient mode tweaks the audio quality.

I still stan these Buds though.

  19. Damn dude, I really loved Carl. I saw him as the face of the company back in the day. I owned an original OnePlus One and even got an invite for the OnePlus 2 through the sign-up but hated the cameras so stayed with my OnePlus One. That was when they were still using CyanogenMod which was an abyssmal OS so my One lasted not even six months. It's been fun to keep up with OnePlus but their new kid on the block approach seems to have died down a bit and their prices show that. Obviously, I still respect OnePlus as a company but will be particularly interested in seeing how things go without Carl at the helm along with Pete Lau, the latter of whom is now the captain of the ship.
  20. I use a vacuum all the time, my PC gets dusty excessively quick - anywhere between 2-4 days to build a noticeable film of dust on any surface - and I've yet to suffer any sort of damage to my components, touch wood. I always keep my vacuum not too close to my system, about 5cm away, and brushing off dust with a spare paintbrush to loosen the dirt first, so there's probably a method to my madness regarding use of a vacuum.
