Yeah it's kinda funny seeing all this panic from the crypto community.
-
Free for all being a price increase or decrease?
-
Ugh, with my luck we are gonna be having to wait till the next gen TIs lol
-
Do we have any information on what the performance is going to be like compared to the 3000 series?
-
Aren't AMD CPUs the go to recently?
-
Just read that they are going to delay the release due to over supply, maybe we should consider AMD? https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/rtx-4000-gpu-launch-delay-geforce-3000-oversupply

Are you also planning to upgrade your CPU? And you are not worried about another crypto shortage?
-
Long load times and stuttering like what you showed, might caused due to issues with your storage and/or RAM. Are you using an SSD or HDD? Also are you running anything else in the background. like a browser, or other applications?

Hey there! Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, mods feel free to direct me to the appropriate place if not. Planning to get a new rig, wondering if now is a good time to commit, with the crypto crash, or wait for the next gen GPU announcements that are supposedly coming soon. I am leaning towards waiting, since logically prices of current gen hardware will go down once the new stuff is announced, and if I do think the new stuff is worth it, buying now seems a guaranteed path towards buyers remorse. Though I am also worried about crypto prices jumping back up, and causing another shortage again. Thoughts?

I uninstalled AMD software, (the program that you can launch with a right click on your desktop, not the drivers). It seems to have fixed the issue for now. Let me know if this helps.

The BSOD stop code is Video Scheduler Internal Error. I got fed up and started tinkering around. Happened to uninstall AMD software and it seems to have solved the issue for now? I have no idea whats going on.
-
AGH, i knew i should have recorded it. I'll post more details about it if it happens again.
-
Nope, everything running at default settings.

Is there a way to find out if the PSU is the issue?

With a 1440p 144hz monitor. I am getting random crashes, and sometimes BSODs when playing games. Is this a driver issue? (I am reading online that the driver for the 5700 xt is kinda wierd now.) Is my power supply too low? I also tried to check the heat on the GPU but I don't get any heat readings using multiple programs. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Would hyper threading be a benefit for me if I purely use it for gaming?
-
OK, thx
-
Oh even without overclocking?
-
OK thx for the suggestion, would the GPU be able to fit in my case?
-
Hmmm, what about the i5 9500 or 9600? the i7 8700 is a decent price jump
-
Why the i7 8700 recommendation? At a quick glance it seems to be more expensive with barely any advantages

I have made another build, an option if I want to save money for other things. How does this one look? _ì»ù«Î½u¤W¦ô»ù2018-04-26.htm

Yes, I can see that you recommend an AMD R5 260 instead of intel i3 8400
