You can run up to macOS 10.13 High Sierra on that iMac. It's not the latest, but it's not old. Installing older versions of macOS (such as Snow Leopard) can be tricky these days.

Yep - as long as it's a High Sierra installer, you should be good!

Thanks. You've got the higher end 2009 model. That's the oldest 27" iMac ever made, but it's still nice. Here is a link to several versions of macOS. Try El Capitan or High Sierra. If you try El Cap let me know - it works, but you have to do something before you can install it.

You've got it backwards. You cannot connect to Windows 10 Home (or any Home version of Windows) through RDP, but you can use Windows 10 Home to connect to RDP servers, such as a Windows 10 Pro machine. You'll need to find an alternative solution, such as TeamViewer.

That's because YouTube is currently down at the moment. Nothing's wrong with your phone or the YouTube app itself.

I'm honestly not too sure. I would think that macOS might have some issues dealing with graphics switching on a Hackintosh setup, but I'm not certain.

I just want to warn you - you're going to run into GPU issues. Your GPU is not supported by macOS.

Lenovo1984 reacted to DeScruff in USPS is getting new trucks but only 10% are electric
The point is that 300 miles while it sounds like a long distance when your going from point A to point B, is not that long if you are traveling twisty windy roads to every nook and cranny in a town which a mail truck does.
My own neighborhood/block is a giant loop, Ive found biking around it, it is ~1 mile. If you bike down all the culdesacs, its ~2 miles. If you take the "Mail Truck Route" you end up traveling 3 miles. - Why? Cause you gotta go through the loop twice, to deliver to the people on both sides of the road.

The mileage adds up a lot faster then you initially think. Apparently the highest mileage mail truck got 402,000 miles in ~10 years?
That said... Apparently the longest mail route according to some quick googling is ~187 miles, and is not ideal highway road.

you should. Its a claim you made, so explain it.

uhh, where? The average is only one or two outages per year, lasting around 6 hours or less, according to this https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=35652
If you live somewhere in the US that has regular long power outages, then you are in the tiny minority

I shouldn't have to explain that.
Maybe where you are, but not everywhere. I live in an area where power can go out fairly regularly due to a variety of things, whether that's weather, vehicles, etc.

    Lol.
The route that a mail vehicle takes is nowhere near comparable to driving in a straight line. That's a pointless comparison.
One of the issues I can think of right off when it comes to getting a charging infrastructure in place is capacity. Another is reliability. There's a reason that they aren't starting will more electric vehicles than they are.

Electric Cars really are not ready for wide deployment. See here: (The EV experience kinda sucks)
A post office route is not a straight line.

Oh really? It's that easy? So assuming you can do at least one post office a day....all the post offices would be done in.....31,000 years? Even if the post office could convert 20 post offices per day, that's still 4 years to convert them all. 20 a day is frankly an optimistic number for government contractors.

The point is, having the cars first is simply the more practical way to go. Once you have the cars, you can trickle convert local fleets to electric without any impact on services and without wasting work on building facilities that have to wait years to be used.

Parcel Services are masters of logistics, I'm inclined to believe that they made the most practical choice here.....

Not really if electric vehicles aren't feasible in large amounts of the country. The charging infrastructure isn't going to be built that fast, especially in more rural areas. I think their plan right now (to wait on all-electric and retrofit the trucks later) is great so they can go ahead and start getting the new trucks on the road and work on the infrastructure at the same time.

That definitely can't be said about the LLV, that's for sure.

Something important you didn't mention: they'll be able to be retrofitted with electric motors later on, so they're likely going to work on building up the charging infrastructure before converting them all to electric. I don't think the design looks bad. After all, we have had the LLV for a long time now, so a new design in any form is neat to see.

You're the one who brought up the distances that can be traveled. You said that a Tesla can cross Iowa on a single charge. The route a postal truck takes is not across a state, and it's definitely not at highway speeds for the majority of the trip.
I'm done going back and forth about this. Find someone else to argue with.

The price a store is asking for a product is based on what they paid their vendor/supplier for it, it's not based on what is the logical price for its performance.

if youve upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 using the upgrade assistant then there's an option in the control panel or settings to go back to your previous windows

if youve upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 without using the upgrade assistant then its best to just clean install and backup everything first like what @Lenovo1984 just said
