TheOneAndOnlyJP's Achievements

  1. I've learned that all if not post monitors that have a 144hz 24" TN panel have a tendency to get this issue since they're all using the same panel model from the manufacturer.
  2. I'm saying, when I reinstall the OS even when updates and whatnot are finished it has an overall performance difference each time that doesn't change for the whole time the OS is being used until a new install is put in place. Android has a similar problem with all phones that I've had from my experience after factory resetting.
  3. I'm not talking about the updates, I'm talking about general computer use after everything is finished loading and updating. Sometimes, the install puts a unpredictable OS on the hard drive that behaves differently with each install that affect the way programs open and close and how fast animations pop up and how smooth they work. Also, I'm reinstalling using the upgrade option on the ISO or MediaCreationTool provided by windows.
  4. HDD, just general glitches really, nothing specific.
  5. I'm having an issue with my computer where every time I reinstall windows to attempt to fix bugs I notice that with each install the OS is permanently slower or faster, like the overall animation transitions when opening and closing programs, mouse movements, and general speed can feel either snappy or slightly delayed/sluggish despite nothing changing in the settings. The last install was nice and fast but there were some bugs, so I had to reinstall again, now everything feels dense and slower with this one. I'm also experiencing frame drops in games that I didn't notice during the last install I was using. Should I just keep reinstalling the OS until everything is corrected?
  6. Can somebody turn off instant mode on their benq monitor at 120/144hz and go to something like a discord window in dark theme or a similar color to see if you can replicate the same issue?
  7. Okay so, while on 120hz turning instant mode back on reduces the visibility of the lines almost entirely on the screen. If I bob my head up and down I can see slight artifacts but it's drastically reduced. I am still concerned with the fact that I cannot use my monitor normally without having a mode turned on. Can someone tell me what's going on?
  8. Here's a great example, except the lines are moving in the opposite direction:
  9. When turning instant mode on and off the speed and intensity of these strange down-scrolling lines changes. I noticed it when turning instant mode off and they were very slow scrolling and apparent, but when I turned the setting on and off again the lines are more faint and scroll down faster; they look like this: If I gently roll my eyes downward on the screen I can see them faintly come down quick.
  10. I ended up ordering the Acer GN246HL; it's the cheapest with the features I want, but it lacks a displayport, which is a shame. I hope I can use displayport to DVI, if necessary.
  11. I want to use this https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Main_Page and have the general luxury of a smooth desktop, but it sounds like at that point I might as well just get a 144hz since I'll be able to reach those frame rates with my games.
  12. Thinking about getting a 240hz monitor, even just for SVP and general desktop usage. However, I'm not sure if my specs would handle anything with a signal of 1080p/240hz, or if it's even worth it. I've been looking at relatively cheap high refresh rate monitors for my computer just to have the all around extra smoothness. My list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C05C1OK (i'm really considering this one despite being 144hz, because it has G-SYNC) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BV1XBEI https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078ZJHD25 (really considering this one because of the profile and specs for the price) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XFGTGC4 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074JLD4HZ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H5KKQTM https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075RHGNQB https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0759DB8ML https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0733YCKM5 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2HH7G0 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KO4518I
