  1. will there be good visual experience from 1440 p? personally i havent used panels higher than Fhd. So im pretty skeptical
  2. What games you play ? And what settings ? graphic consuming or online multiplayer games that need high fps ?
  3. So instead of ultra, i would have to use med high ultra mixed settings. But will i have i good overall gain from this upgrade ?
  4. Rpg games mostly open world with good graphics. ac odyssey, ac valhalla, cyberpunk 2077, nfs heat, witcher 3(remastered edition thats comming up)
  5. I want to upgrade my monitor from 1080p 60hz 22inch to 2560 x 1440 144hz 27inch. will my gpu rtx 2060super be able to handle this resolution? i only play rpg games with good looking graphics
  6. So im sensing there is an overall visual gain (viewing experience) in investing in this monitor then. thank you for the help and replies
  7. Also, will screen size matter when it comes to performance? my current monitor is 1080p 22inch the new one will be 2560 x 1440 27 inch. will this further degrade the performance?
  8. I had problems only with ac odyssey and i did use med, high, ultra settings to play it. What i was worried about is getting the same quality as 1080p with ultra settings when i use the 1440p with medium settings. also the reason i want to change my cpu is because i need higher ram atleast 3000mhz. I currently have 2400mhz and mobo supports only 2666mhz. So i have to change my mobo to get more ram. Since ryzen are better and cost effective its better i buy a new cpu as well - this is what i felt would be good
  9. Right now when testing with witcher 3, i hit upto 100fps max settings. nfs heat around 80 ac odyssey is mixed so i would say average of 50-55 so if i expect 60fps on upcoming games i would have to choose medium to high Settings ? Also will there be any overall gain in this investment? currently - ultra high with 1080p after upgrade - medium with 1440p - will this make any difference?
  10. I am planning an upgrade on my existing build - i5 8400, 16gb 2400mhz, rtx 2060 super. I do 1080p gaming at 60hz. i dont play high fps competitive games (online multiplayer). My games are mostly rpg with beautiful graphics. i had planned to upgrade my ram and since my mobo doesn’t more than 2666mhz i thought of upgrading my cpu as well when i get more ram. So i decided to wait for zen3. For cpu, mobo, ram upgrade. Since the actual market will be getting the zen 3 around jan or feb (atleast in my country). I thought of buying a good 2k monitor that will somewhat be future proofed for next 2-3 years. I like the lg 27gl850 Will this 2k monitor be too much for my rtx 2060s ?
  11. I was playing nfs heat and all of a sudden there was bsod and WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. The windows diagnostic was trying to rectify it and it restarted. I saw the mobo load screen and nothing happened. I forcefully restarted the pc and the debug led on mobo was lit next to VGA. I use hdmi display. I disconnected the display from mobo and then tried, pc didnt start. After trying for a few time the fan, gpu led, mobo led started pulsing (on off, on off). After trying a few times pc turned on normally. I had seen a similar issue before except there was no bsod but the pc froze while playing game and i saw similar behavior when trying to turn it back on. Also a few times (not while playing games) in general when turning on pc it said couldn’t load user profile and logged me into a temporary profile. I restarted and it booted normally. can anyone help to understand why this happened? note: i have been pausing windows updates for a long time, it did a few times but i updates section i kept it paused always (i use a pirated version of windows)
  12. I was worried about valhalla and cyberpunk. Currently when i play AC odyssey i see some fps drop when i go to towns. I get good fps when im in forest or areas that has fewer elements to render.
  13. I use 1080p at 60hz. I think i will wait for zen 3 to release
  14. I had built my pc in 2018 with b360pro-vdh, i5-8400, 2400mhz 16gb, gtx1060. Last year i upgraded to RTX 2060Super and this year i had planned to upgrade my RAM but i found out my mobo supports only 2666mhz (i cheaped out buying the mobo). I planned to skip ram upgrade and upgrade cpu, mobo and ram all together in november. I want to go with Ryzen processor this time and 3200mhz ram. Is ryzen 5 3600 a good upgrade from i5-8400 ? is this processor good for another 2-3 years ?. I use my computer to mainly play games and i play RPGs most of the time.I like good graphics :) I dont want to make mistake choosing wrong components this time which will force me to upgrade again next year, please help choose the right components and make a better decision. Thank You !!
  15. While i was gaming my computer all of a sudden froze and became non responsive, windows button didn't work and ctrl+alt+del didn't work. I pressed and held the power button to reset the computer. It turned off. After i pressed the power button to turn it on again- the gpu led, mobo led was pulsing and the case fans were pulsing. I decided to open the case and check if any wire was loose and then after i tried again the pc booted up normally. The image shows that there was a windows update on 9:30 and hardware crashed (as per below log) on 9:33 The below hardware failure log is from morning (Although nothing happened in morning). The computer crashed in the evening. Only 'windows wasn't properly shut down' log was present in the evening which was due to the hard reset i made. Is this a normal pc crash mostly caused by a windows update ? ==================== Source Windows Summary Hardware error Date ‎6/‎26/‎2020 9:33 AM Status Not reported Description A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly. 16. Thank you very much for the information, it will definitely help me taking a better decision. I will probably wait till 2021 to upgrade the cpu and ram. As far as performance with the current build, im not seeing any issues. Regarding the ray tracing i think my current gpu (rtx 2060 super) supports it, although im not interested in using it. I just need a consistent 60 fps performance with considerably good-high graphics.
  17. This is exactly what my friend recommended. I just felt that 2400mhz ram with i5 8400 was a bit outdated if i want to run games from 2020 or later. I dont do online competative gaming, i play rpgs mostly and i like good graphics. Example - i was just wondering if this build will support cyberpunk 2077, ac valhalla i prefer balanced gameplay between high graphics locked at 60fps. Just an off topic mentioning - i have ocd and i like to keep everything perfect. so i just felt that my pc wasn’t up to the mark and is outdated.
  18. My intention of cpu upgrade is to get a good Gaming performance. my current ram is - crucial 2400mhz ddr4 8gb (x2). Total 16 gb. My current mobo supports only 2666mhz. So even if i get an intel cpu i will have to upgrade the mobo to support a higher memory ram (without oc. I am new to oc and i dont want to do it).
  19. yes i can get ryzen and a mobo for less price that 8700 i checked with the seller. But ryzen 5 3600 needs a memory spec of 3200 mhz right to function optimally? so i am thinking of suspending my upgrade for 2020 and upgrade cpu, ram, mobo together in 2021. i will probably go with ryzen 5 3600, mobo and 3200mhz or i5 10600, mobo and 3200mhz (higher ram to help for the next upgrade in future)
  20. I built my pc in 2018 and since it was my first computer i had less knowledge on parts compatibility for future upgrades. My build was i5 8400, B360 pro vdh, gtx 1060ti with 400 watt psu and 2400mhz ddr4 memory. My case wasnt efficient in cooling. in 2019 i upgraded my gpu to rtx 2060 super and i had to upgrade my psu along with it. Later i upgraded my case due to heating problems. recently i discovered that if i had to upgrade my cpu and mobo. I need to upgrade my ram because currently im using ddr4 2400mhz. and the next gen intel cpus require atleast 2666mhz memory and ryzen will need upto 3200mhz. Are 2400mhz not good in 2020 ? How should i plan for my cpu upgrade ?
  21. I am not worried about the mobo and ram compatibility. I need to know if the ryzen 5 3600 is compatible with two crucial 2400mhz ram sticks
  22. I am looking for a cpu and mobo upgrade, I'm not sure about the compatibility of the new cpu, mobo with my existing ram. My current build- i5 8400, msi b360 pro vdh, crucial 8gb 2400mhz (x2), gigabyte rtx 2060 super Only cpu and mobo upgrade to- Ryzen 5 3600, msi b450 tomahawk, these parts remain same - crucial 8gb 2400mhz (x2), gigabyte rtx 2060 super As I don't want to change the existing ram, will this ram cause and incompatibility with the new cpu ? Ryzen 5 3600 specifications as mentioned in https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-3600 says System Memory Specification=3200MHz
  23. I use a cooler master 600 watt psu, the cable is rated at 10 Amp 250 Volts. Please help selecting one of the below options of surge protector. 1. Surge Protection 525 Joules/15,000 Amps [cheaper] https://honeywellconnection.com/product/4-socket-surge-protector/ 2. Surge Protection of 918 Joules/ 36000 Amps.
