Zipfire reacted to Slottr in stuttering in games , all games unplayable.
They shouldn't be....
They might be similar, but while stressed they should be fairly different, by at least 10 degrees.
Well 1.4 ghz is definitely a little low, did you underclock? Have you tried resetting cmos?

I bought them in 1995. I played it on my old Compaq 486DX4/100 It's version 5.0 for MS-DOS.
The joystick is Logitech WingMan Extreme.

Zipfire got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in Ryzen 5 2600 System - Major problems (Friends PC)
Remove all but one stick of ram if it still fails replace it one of the other sticks and it fails again reload windows also would be a good idea to remove any unneeded hardware and USB devices if its a newer build check that the ram is compatible with the board Crashing when on the web only makes me think its the O/S first and Ram second

Zipfire reacted to SlayerOfHellWyrm in CPU throttling in games
Have you looked in task manager to see what's eating the CPU when you're trying to game? I have the same 8700K, but mines stable at 5.0 GHz on a 115i Platinum. I've never seen it hit 100% in a game, however to be fair, I don't own Doom, or BL3. I do own GTA V, but I've yet to actually play it on Iris... eventually.
If you want, I can launch into it to see where my 8700K sits at, with all my other bg crap open (Chrome, Discord, Spotify and tons of other background stuff like Asus GPU Tweak II)?

Zipfire reacted to Tristerin in Slow 120mm vs fast 40mm fans
This....then this again....then one more time. Pick the fan with the highest rated CFM at max RPM, with an acceptable DB level you like.
I only have an 80mm intake on my PC because it is apart of my 2 slot Evercool HDD accessory for 5.25 bays. My actual intake is a 2 200mm fans but the little guy puts some cool air high up in the dead air zone in the bays!

Zipfire got a reaction from Totalschaden1997 in Slow 120mm vs fast 40mm fans

Zipfire reacted to Fasauceome in Cpu cooler unattached to cpu
It's like I said, it's ok for a spot check for temps but that's it. This is no way to leave a system long term.

Zipfire reacted to LogicalDrm in Cpu cooler unattached to cpu
If temps are reasonable, maybe. But thats far from ideal. You should atleast try to tighten it down with zipties or something.

Zipfire reacted to killcomic in how many fps would gain with 1180ti, i7-9700k?
No, no, no. Nvidia will take a new approach with the 1180 where they'll implement time dilation so it will run everything a 1 FPS, but it will speed up your time by 6000% so it looks like you're playing at 60 FPS.
You will age a lot quicker though.

Zipfire got a reaction from Bearded_Ed in Video Editing System Unit
What type of video are you editing 8K 4K 1080 720? What are your run times. What is your production deadlines Daily Weekly Monthly. Anyways Core count then Video and Ram than Storage Raid 0+1 so your work is safe the rest is candy coating. Dell or Hp will get you a warranty so you will have less down time. oh and a Display is a must if doing high end stuff
