  1. I agree with it not being a good deal as I mentioned above, but i was mainly referring to your 2TB Evo comment, just can't bring myself to fork up $800 for 2TB nVME when I can get a regular 2.5 SSD with same storage for like $300 less
  2. Just looked at price difference between 2TB 970 Evo nVME vs my current choices 2TB Evo = $794 on Newegg My choices of the 512GB 970 Pro + 1TB 970 Evo = $620 combined, so I would be paying $174 extra for 500GB extra storage (Currently) However if I get two 1TB 970 Evos to make that 2TB storage total, that will be $395+$395 = $790 in this case, negligible difference price-wise cause I save just $4 if I get single 2TB 970 Evo Not even going to get into the 970 2TB Pro variant of that nVME cause it insanely high at $1140
  3. I said *snug* because I was planning on putting a radiator and fans on bottom of case as well as radiator and fans on the side ventilation area of the case, bottom radiator will be for GPU and the side one will be for CPU, leaving top fans as exhaust. So that subtracts 30-40mm+ from that 76mm of space on bottom As far as the cables, after adding everything up, full replacement kits costed me more than just the extensions for just the essential psu cables that would be in view.
  4. I might switch to the thought of the 2TB EVO nVME since Pro variants at that capacity cost an arm and a leg still =[ will have to work out the numbers, because I am aware that out of the 2 m.2 slots on the Mobo I'm looking at only one of them will produce full speed, at least for this 1st gen X399M. For the case its really compact for a mid tower but still roomy and from the space I can see with my eyes a mATX will fit snugly in that beauty =) For PSU I will be carrying over my EVGA 1000W Supernova P2 from my current system
  5. Thx for input, but I have always been a WD user never had any issues, had one or two Seagates as well in the past. The 512GB nVME is going to be boot drive along with my main programs and games I use on regular, the 1TB nVME 970 Evo will mainly be for storage and maybe 1 or 2 secondary programs. I almost got the 2TB WD Blue 2.5 SSD since they are priced so well.... but I decided on the 970 because...1 less cable to manage LOL trying to get a cleaner build interior =)
  6. Yes it its since it trades blows with the 1070ti in most games on that res.
  7. What up everyone, got an upcoming Rig build and thought that the best way I can meet everyone is to post some info on my upcoming rig that I should be building within the next month or two to replace my 5 and a half year old PC that I currently have. This upcoming rig will be used for VM Management, Video Editing, Streaming and Gaming to name a few. I Included a screenshot and PCPP Link with my Part List. All feedback/suggestions are welcome, this will be my 1st time doing anything this overkill and pricey and 1st time delving into Custom Water-Cooling. So far what Iv'e got part-wise is: Power Supply - EVGA SuperNova P2 1000W Video Card - Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 56 Limited Edition PC Case - The beautiful Lian-Li PC-011 Dynamic Der8aur Edition (White) Parts still to get: CPU - Threadripper 2nd Gen 2920X 12-Core RAM - 32GB 3200Mhz CAS 16 Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB Memory (White) Motherboard - Asrock X399M Taichi Cooling Fans for Radiator(s) - Lian-Li Bora Lite 120mm Fans (x9) Storage - Samsung 970 Pro 512GB M.2 SSD, Samsung 970 Evo 1TB M.2 SSD, WD Black Series 6TB 7200RPM HDD PCPP Link - https://pcpartpicker.com/user/islandg%40m3r/saved/#view=q37KZL
  8. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202306&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6163686&SID=jfwwg5fttw011rh100053 OR https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202305&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6163686&SID=jfwwg6jue4011rh100053 for 3440x1440p Resolution, and do you think it's possible to OC the Limited Edition Vega 56 to the same frequency as the 64 Limited edition's or 100mhz is too much of a push??
  9. I originally wanted Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 for 3440x1440p resolution (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202321&ignorebbr=1) But it is currently sold out on Newegg who currently has lowest price for them. Would the limited edition Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 56 with higher clocks than regular Nitro Vega 56 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202305) be a good alternative if the 64 doesn't get back in stock? Or should I wait and pay the $90 difference between their price tags? Would you all pay the extra 90 bucks to get the higher end card since your spending over MSRP already or settle for the 56 LE???
  10. Did some research and since the most recent AMD adrenaline drivers have been released, the Vega GPUs have been doing pretty good. Right now I can get a Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 56 for $569.99 before shipping and for the Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 I can get that for $649.99 before shipping. The FreeSync monitor I am looking at is a 3440x1440 100Hz refresh rate ultra wide, which one of those GPUs should I pull trigger on at that res and refresh rate? Should I still bother with a 1070ti?
  11. My whole system is down because gpu died, but I am rly tempted to buy the HOF 1070ti since Vega 56 is in 1080ti price territory, which rly sucks bcuz i found a really good UW 35" freesync monitor 100hz for $780 that I posted earlier
  12. Hello all, my system now has been dead on my for just over a month now because GPU died on me, so I'm trying to find a decent GPU now just so I can get back up and running and then every paycheck I take out a certain amount to go towards the parts I'm trying to build since I originally planned to build a brand new system since last year since current rig is rather outdated. Right now from since last November GPU market has been sh** as we all know an I originally planned to get 1080ti but every where I look charging an arm and a liver price wise now, even on my retailers and since there is a good chance gpu prices will be like this for a while, I want to get a gpu that works pretty good on 2560x1440p or more so 3440x1440p. I don't need all the graphics MAXED out per se, but want to get a gpu that at least I won't have to upgrade ANYTIME soon. Which of these operate better on 1440p http://galaxstore.net/GALAX-GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-HOF-8GB_p_157.html - GALAX HOF 1070ti (Since 1080s are jacked up as much as 1080ti's) or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0788BTQKQ/?coliid=ITCS4OI5MBRHY&colid=2J0I6BGHE38FL&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it - ASUS ROG STRIX RX Vega 56 The build I am trying to do in a month or two is either Zen+ 2600X or Threadripper 1920X 1st gen / 2nd gen 2920X. Mainly this new rig will be used for something along lines of a home server that I will do, VM creation, video editing, content creation and gaming as well, any suggestions or thoughts would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  13. Yea those cases Im stuck between hard to decided, both look modern which is what I was going for, the XSPC kit only comes with CPU Block and 6 fittings in Kit nothing for GPU, which is kinda why I switched from reg 1080ti FTW3 to the Hydro Copper because as it stands, don't believe there is a custom waterblock out yet for the FTW3 plus I will only be paying 100 bucks more on top of reg ftw 3 price which currently is 764.98 after rebate and 4.99 Shipping I believe on Newegg, bcuz average water block is 150 bucks so I technically save 50 bucks going with the Hydro. =) For some reason I think the Hydro comes with its own fittings, but im not sure gotta double check. Either way having all the same fittings to match is better aesthetically. XSPC Kit Link Below: http://www.performance-pcs.com/xspc-raystorm-pro-x4-photon-ax240-watercooling-kit-amd-am4.html
  14. Apologies thanks for pointing out case choice...I completely forgot. Just Edited.
  15. Hey everyone, so the time is very close as to me building my new RYZEN 5 System, I don't want a bunch of mess as it will be my 1st time attempting to Water-cool, but I still don't want it to be messy. I am getting ready to literally pull the trigger on the 1600X (Thread-Ripper depending on Performance) and 1080ti FTW3 Hydro Copper, I want each to have their own Rad just to be safe and I am looking at XSPC RayStorm Pro X4 Photon AX240 WaterCooling Kit plus additional XSPC AX240 Rad for the Hydro Copper. ***Edit*** The case choices I am looking at are either the Phanteks Entho Pro M Tempered or the 3x Tempered Anidees AI-Crystal RGB Cube ATX Tempered Glass Gaming Case: Case Choice Links Below https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854042 - Phanteks OR https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA7TD5RT8416 - Anidees What order should I put loop in? How many fittings would I need? The kit comes with 6 Comp. fittings, should I get 2 more to make it 8 or will I need more???Any help for this Water-cooling noob will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
  16. Hey everyone, trying to get over to the 1440p rez game master race and need help deciding between these 3 awesome monitors. All input is welcome that could be helpful. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAB895AP4807 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009997 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIABHJ4D85604
  17. Ok, I saw everyones choices thus far, and as I expected, Phanteks case wins by a landslide. But let me throw another wrench into this comparison. See links below. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854042 - Is $105.98 after $5.99 shipping charges (Mid-Tower) OR New challenger-----> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIADN65N21925 - Is $236.98 after $16.99 shipping charges on Newegg & is $219.98 after $19.99 shipping charges on manufacturer's site (Full Tower)
  18. Wasn't planning on keeping the stock RGB Fans it comes with, was replacing them
  19. Hey everyone, having a really hard time decided between these 2 cases. Both are really good in there own right, and my current case is a Phanteks as well, where you can never go wrong. The other is somewhat of an off-brand but It has good specs. Please help me decide!! Thanks in advance. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854042 - $105.98 after shipping charges https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353125&cm_re=diypc_vanguard-_-11-353-125-_-Product - $119.98 after shipping charges

  21. Yes to both questions Mobo is going to be MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon, re-using 500GB 840 EVO and 2TB WD Black HDD as secondary
